Aussi, étant étudiant (avec assez peu de ressources donc...😉, mais je serai quand même payé à hauteur de 200 USD par mois et pourrai profiter de certains voyages dont les Galapagos 😎), j'aurai aimé savoir quel était le coût de la vie en Equateur, comparé par exemple au Pérou/Bolivie ou j'ai déjà pu voyager, mais aussi si il était préférable de louer ou d'aller à l'hôtel, si les repas étaient bons marchés quelques infos pratiques à savoir... Sachant bien sûr que ne cherche en aucun cas le luxe ou le grand confort!!! 😛 Question pratique également: pour un stage, visa ou non???

Tu vas te faire plaisir. Christian et Gérald sont bien sympa, et ça te promet de beaux treks.
Ah putain, si je pouvais faire mon stage à Quito plutôt que de le passer dans ce cadre pourri qu'est La Défense😠.
Bref, tu vas voir, Quito est une très belle ville, pas trop grande, avec vue sur l'allée des volcans. Vraiment bien. Par contre, si effectivement la solution de facilité serait de loger à l'Auberge Inn (d'autant qu'ils te feraient probablement un prix), tu ferais mieux de te renseigner pour louer un appart ou quelque chose comme ça. A l'Auberge Inn tu risques d'être saturé de backpackers, ça risque de te couper un peu du "vrai" Quito et de vivre dans un cadre vraiment equatorien.
Pour le coût de la vie, bah va falloir allonger un peu la monnaie. Je ne sais pas pour le Pérou, mais c'est clairement plus cher que la Bolivie. Et l'inflation reste apparemment forte.
Bon en tout cas profites bien: l'équipe est sympa, le pays aussi...Autant meler l'utile à l'agréable😉 !

bonjour, je viens de finir un stage de 3 mois a quito, et j y retourne pour travailler en octobre (pour un an).
Alors, c'est vrai, l equateur c est evidemmet moins cher que la france (pas de comprarison possible). Cependant, fait attention, on est vite pris au jeu... Si tu vis a quito, je pense qu'il te faut un budget entre 550-700 dollars par mois... mais en fait tout depend de la ou tu habites. En effet, les location ne sont pas données dans la capitale (surtout si tu ne reste pas longtemps et que tu veux un meublé, opte pour la colloc).
Dans les hotels, tu peux négocier et reussir a rester pour 150-170 dollars par mois. a toi de voir.
Sinon, pour les transports, prends l ecovia, c est un bus qui a sa voie pour lui dans la ville, il traverse quito du nord au sud (25cts), c cool.
Le midi, mange des almuerzos, plats du jours local pour 1, 50 $. C'est économique.
Mais effectivement, tout depend de ou tu vis, les autres villes sont moins cheres que quito.

Moi j'ai passé un an au Pérou, et pour les visas, c'etait effectivement 3 mois... alors au bout de trois mois, je suis allé au chili ou j'ai passé environ 12 heures, en fait une nuit, et je suis retourné au Pérou avec un nouveau visa de 3 mois...
Voila! Peut etre est-ce pareil pour l'Equateur?

Quito est effectivement plus chère que les autres villes d'Equateur, mais en t'y prenant bien, tu peux ne pas de te ruiner.
Je te conseille premièrement d'éviter absolument de loger dans le quartier dans lequel tu vas travailler! Ce n'est qu'un ramassi d'hotels/bars/restaus/boîtes de nuit branchées/agences de voyages dans le Quito moderne (quartier La Mariscal) dont la population doit être étrangère (touristes) à 70%! Si tu recherches des prix bas et une ambiance authentique, laisses tomber!! Les tarifs vont de pair avec l'origine des touristes! Et l'Auberge Inn est très chère comparé à d'autres hôtels beaucoup plus sympas à peine excentrés.
Pour résumer: tu peux trouver un lit en dortoir pour 5usd à la casa bambu (Gran Colombia y Solano) avec sanitaires paratagés, où prendre une chambre au mois pour 160 usd http://www.ecuadorexplorer.com/bambu/#quito
Si ça te semble encore trop cher, tu peux trouver, en t'éloignant un peu plus du centre, des apparts à louer pour 100usd/mois, encore moins si c'est une colloc. Mais plus le prix baisse, plus les conditions aussi!
La casa bambu de Quito est un bon compromis car il y a une cuisine à dispo des guests, ce qui permet de faire de grosses économies niveau bouffe. Il y a tous les ustensiles nécessaires, et tu dispose d'un casier pour tes provisions et d'un compartiment dans le frigo. Ca te permet de combiner indépendance (important si tu restes 6 mois, que tu travailles et tout de ne pas avor la darasse dans ta piaule tous les soirs!) et vie collective, l'hotel possède un super jardin suspendu et terrasses sur plusieurs nivaux. De nombreux volontaires lngue durée séjournent la-bas. Le cadre est top.
Pour te déplacer jusqu'à la mariscal, tu as l'écovia (0.25usd/trajet, 10 min de trajet) ou 20 minutes à pieds, ce qui ne devrait pas te poser de problème si tu kiffes le trek. Tu peux acheter des cartes de 20 trajets ou plus donnant lieu à une économie substantielle.
Niveau bouffe, les almuerzos (déjeuners) et meriendas (dîners) te couteront 1.5usd en moyenne, sachant que tu peux trouver 1.20. En dessous, ça devient dangereux! Ces formules (1 par restau/repas) comprennent 1 grand verre de jus de fruit frais, une soupe géante (généralement, tu n'as plus faim après) et un plat de viande ou poisson avec légume et moult riz. De quoi calmer les plus affamés. Pour réduire les frais, tu peux t'acheter du café en poudre et des petits pains à l'épicerie pour le petit dej, tu en auras pour 0.10/0.15usd/dej'.
Niveau visa, pas nécessaire pour un séjour inférieur à 3 mois. Tu peux donc rentrer sans visa, puis te présenter à la migracion avant la fin de ce laps de temps pour faire re-tamponner ton passeport moyennant une somme dérisoire (genre 4usd). Je ne sais pas si c'est valable si tu effectue une activité rémunérée. Tout dépend si tu es payé au noir/déclaré...
Le visa pour l'entrée d'un étranger aux Galapagos est d'environ 100usd, contre 5 ou à peine plus pour les équatoriens!!! Ca fait mal là où je pense!
Sinon pour conclure, avec 200usd/mois tu seras payé à peu près le double d'un équatorien, tu as donc de quoi vivre comfortablement!
Je serais sur place de fin juin à début septembre. Si tu as d'autre questions, n'hésite pas!

J'apprends que tu seras à Quito de mars à aout 2007. Curieusement (sans avoir consulter tes messages sur le forum), je m'apprête à partir, moi aussi, en Equateur du 1er juin au 18 juin 2007 pour faire des trecks sur le Cayambe, le Cotopaxi et le Chimborazo.
Alors juste avant de faire ces trecks, ça me ferait plaisir de te voir là-bas, échanger des souvenirs de la Bolivie et du Pérou et pourquoi pas des conseils, si tu en as, pour les trecks que je vais réaliser.
En tous cas je ne te cache pas l'appréhension de faire ces ascensions car je n'ai jamais fait de trecks.Seulement, je sais que j'ai n'ai pas de problème en altitude (comme tu as pu le constater sur mon récit du voyage que j'ai fait) et actuellement, je m'entraîne presque tous les soirs à faire + d'une 30taine de kms en vélo (dont une bonne 12aine de kms en montée, équivalent à plus de 500m de dénivelé au total), en espérant que ma condition physique sera suffisante.

I’ve heard about one in California, Diablo Valley College, and another in Florida, Valencia College. I know both states are super attractive for tourism, but my main criteria are teaching quality and price. I’m open to any advice, comments, or suggestions—thanks in advance!
