Fin décembre 2008, nous partons vivre en Nouvelle Calédonie. Je suis étudiante, j'ai obtenue un stage en algologie tropicale. Mon copain me suivrait également, mais lui aura fini ces études cet été. Nous ne connaissons que peu de choses sur cette destination (on a l'image carte postale, mais c'est tout !). Serait-il possible d'avoir quelques renseignements qui vous semblent utiles. Nous avons également quelques questions : est-il possible de circuler facilement en vélo à Nouméa ? de trouver un appart à un prix raisonnable ? acheter une voiture sur place est-ce envisageable ? mon copain travaille dans le domaine du sport (il a également son diplôme de maitre nageur). C'est galère niveau boulot ? nous avons un chat, faut-il lui faire faire des vaccins spéciaux ? la vie est-elle sympa là-bas ? ...
Quasiment personne ne se déplace en vélo pour le boulot, c'est pas encore ds les moeurs. Par contre le weekend pour la balade et le sport pas de blem.
Prix raisonnable à nouméa ? c'est presque une gageure.
Envisageable d'acheter une voiture ? je comprends pas trop la question. Vous vs rendrez vite compte que c'est indispensable de toute façon.
Toutes les marques sont représentées, d'occase ou neuf. Pour le dernier model Ferrari ou Audi fodra patienter un peu, uniquement sur commande.
Question animal, je ne peux te renseigner mais je suis certain que quelqu'un va le faire. Evitez de passer par l'Australie avec les animaux, ils n'aiment que les kangourous !!
Pour le job, vois si le CNC ( cercle nageurs calédoniens tel 26 21 61 et mobil maitre nageur 88 87 73 ), également le club olympique de riviere salée 41 99 45, la piscine du Ouen Toro, pas de N° à te donner.
La vie est sympa parout dans le monde, meme en France, c'est les abrutis qui nous pourrissent la vie et à nouméa il y en a aussi.
Je m'appel Ludo j'ai 26 ans et on m'a proposé un CDI dans l'hôtellerie à Nouméa, je ne connais pas beaucoup la culture et les habitudes en Nouvelle Calédonie, j'aimerais en savoir plus.
On m'a proposé un salaire de 220 000 CFP est ce correct pour vivre à Nouméa? mon employeur me loge au départ mais je devrais trouver un logement par la suite, quels sont les quartiers les plus trankil, pas trop touristique et si possible au vert. Pour les véhicules j'ai déjà vu quelques annonces sur le net, ca a l'air d'être comme partout ? vous confirmez?
Et j'aurais plein plein d'autres questions alors si vous pouvez prendre un peu de temps pour me répondre je vous en remercie d'avance!😉
Je pense que ton salaire est brute à 220, donc il devrait t'en rester 170 à 180 en gros après cotisation cafat ( sécu ) et mutuelle ( c'est un ordre d'idée faut pas prendre ça au chiffre près ).
Si tu es vraiment logé au début c'est largement jouable, cherche une coloc la premiere année, ou 6 mois, ça te laissera le temps de connaitre les quartiers et trouver ou loger en fonction de ton boulot.
Cherche ds le " gratuit et Paru vendu" tu devrais trouver les loc et les coloc.
Faut savoir que c'est un peu galere les déplacements en voiture pour aller au boulot le matin, donc plus on est proche de ses fournaux mieux C.
Tu seras un peu surpris par le niveau très élévé de toutes tes factures, Tel, Eau Elec etc....c'est carrémént 2 à 3 fois + élevé qu'en france, après pr la bouffe c'est cher mais gérable en fonction de tes besoins.
Pour le véhicule, si c'est un d'occase, reste Japon et chez toy de préférence. Sache que la majorité des Sce après vente est exécrable en nc, alors si on te dit "oui mé avec les voitures françaises ya les pieces détachées" c'est vrai, mais chez les japs t'en a pas besoin ! bon après ya occase et occase.
Je suppose que tu as une petite expérience dans le boulot, alors surtout si tu veux etre aprécié et t'intégrer rapidement, il faut absolument éviter les " moi je.." ou bien les " nous en france on..."
Il est clair que si l'ambiance est + cool qu'en france et c'est indéniable, les gens n'aiment pas trop les zors, ceux qui donnent des leçons et ceux qui savent tout faire.

je viens de lire ton message et je me demande comment tu as fais pour trouver 1 job à Nouméa, tu as recherché depuis la France?? es tu qualifié dans le domaine de l'hotellerie??
Je viens de vous lire et nous sommes aussi sur le départ pour la "Caldochie".
Je pars début juin 2008 avec ma fille de 7 mois et mon compagnon me rejoint en février 2009 suite à une mutation dans l'Educ. Il est vrai que je ne pars pas en terre inconnue car je suis née à Nouméa et qu'une partie de ma famille y habite.
Ceci étant dit, je flippe pas mal notamment pour les recherches de boulot et de nounou qui, me semble t il (en ayant surfé sur plusieurs sites web de calédonie), sont assez galères. J'ai une maitrise LEA (langues) et ai une expérience de 2ans 1/2 en tant qu'assistante marketing (que je viens de quitter pour préparer notre départ en NC). D'après les sites web, trouver un job en marketing serait une utopie. Donc, je flippe d'autant plus et me dis qu'il faudra me réorienter vers un autre domaine, peut être le commerce international?? Mais, d'après ce que j'ai compris, les employeurs calédoniens embauchent des personnes qui ont eu une expérience en NC. Bref, j'essaie de relativiser et me dis que nous réalisons le projet de notre vie avec mon chéri.
Au niveau salaire, y a t il qqn qui peut me dire à quel salaire peut prétendre une assistante marketing ou commerciale en Calédonie ?
Quant aux différentes personnes qui recherchent du boulot, je leur conseille de contacter Adecco en Calédonie via leur site web. J'ai obtenu un rdv avec eux quand j'arrive sur le territoire. J'ai envoyé mon Cv à d'autres agences d'intérim et toujours pas de réponses de leur part.
Il est vrai aussi que la vie est très chère là bas; donc, faut travailler assez vite pour pouvoir payer loyer, factures, crèche.... Tout cela, je m'organiserai sur place car à distance, c'est assez difficile !!

je ne pense pas me tromper en te disant 180 000 maxi en brut, mais bien évidemment cela va dépendre essentiellement de la boite ds laquelle tu vas bosser. Tu pourras trouver à 150 000 surement, comme à 250 000 si chanceuse.

merci pour le site d'adecco intérim que je n'avais pas encore contacté, j'ai rempli le formulaire d'inscription mais je ne vois pas comment leurs envoyer un cv car rien n'est demandé😐. 2 mois avant le grand départ, ca s'approche, je comprends ton appréhension mais tu as quand même quelques points positifs😉: famille et logement qui ne sont pas négligables quand on sait le prix des loyers!!!!!😠.Pour le travail cela n'a pas l'air d'être évident (discussions sur le forum) car les locaux sont prioritaires (ce qui est tout à fait normal!)😊 et à compétance égale y a pas photo!! Tu es courageuse de partir seule avec ta petite de 7 mois, l'organisation avec un bébé ne doit pas être simple! un petit conseil santé pour le trajet en avion (minimum 22H de vol) se masser les jambes souvent et marcher un peu dans le couloir de l'avion pour se dégourdire les gambettes de temps à autres (cela évite les caillots de sang, guide lonely planet).Tu es de Nouméa, tu reviens dans ton pays depuis combien d'années d'absence?? Peux tu me parler un peu de ton pays et les français sont-ils bien perçus??
Il me semble que c'est entre 11 et 12% pour les charges salariales.
Pour le PC si t'as une facture ayant plus de 3 mois avant le jour de ton arrivé tu es exempté de taxe (a confirmer mais j'en suis presque sur)

vous allez emmener votre stress avec vous...je vous dis 15, si c'est 11% c'est tout bénef pour vous, prenez le comme ça, là est la différence entre les gens des iles et les autres ( vous les métros )
Pourquoi la vie est-elle plus cool sous les tropiques ? parce que les gens ne résonnent pas encore en pourcentage.
Pour une intégration facile, il faudra arreter de parler chiffre, %tage, économie et loyer, et commencer à parler chasse, pêche et number one.
Pour le pc, c'est exact que si + de 3 mois, aucun probleme.
Sinon a toi de voir si tu souhaites passer sans le déclarer; je pense que la majorité le fait, des fois ça passe, d'autres fois non. Dans tous les cas il vaut mieux avoir la facture avec soit.
Je faisais juste remarquer l'erreur pour les lecteurs de ton post. Mais il est vrai que là bas le stress c'est pas très courant comparé à la métropole 😉

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
