Hi there, I have an e-visa valid until 11/8/24. I’m heading back to India on 11/3 for 5 weeks, so I applied for a new 5-year e-visa. Problem: in the visa section, I didn’t enter the number of my current visa—I put NA (not applicable). I’ve already submitted the application and can’t edit it anymore. I haven’t paid yet. 1) If I pay, could the 5-year visa be denied because of this NA? 2) If I don’t pay, will the application be canceled? If so, how soon? Thanks

Hello, I have an e-visa valid until 11/8/24. I’m heading back to India on 11/3 for 5 weeks. So I reapplied for a 5-year e-visa. Problem: in the visa section, I didn’t note the number of my current visa—I put NA (not applicable). I submitted my application and can’t modify it anymore. I haven’t paid yet. 1) If I pay, could the 5-year visa be refused because of this NA? 2) If I don’t pay, will the application be canceled? Within what timeframe? Thanks.

Hi Monique, You were supposed to enter the number of your current visa since it hasn’t expired yet. Since you haven’t paid, the application simply won’t be processed and will expire. Don’t pay! Your application would be processed and very likely refused, and you wouldn’t get a refund. I’m not certain about the exact timeframe between the two applications, but I think the first one will be canceled after the official 72-hour processing window. Either way, you’re not taking any risk by reapplying since your first request won’t have been validated due to non-payment. I’m speaking from experience—I also reapplied for a visa while my previous one was still valid. But I did enter the number of my current visa... [;)]

Hi there, Just a little issue for me. I applied for my E-visa too early... so my flight lands 15 minutes before the ETA expires. Do you think it's worth a try?

Otherwise, can I apply for another e-visa right away before this one expires?

Thanks for your reply

In India, just like anywhere else, there’s no guarantee a flight will arrive exactly on time—or even just 15 minutes late. It can be delayed for all sorts of reasons, right up to the last minute.
