Je suis déjà allé au VN quelques semaines l'an dernier et je vais bientôt y retourner pour un séjour de 3 semaines. Je connais également quelques vietnamiens là-bas, notamment à Saïgon.
Ces derniers temps, je me posais cette question probablement incongrue (mais sait-on jamais ?) : Est-il concevable de trouver un emploi à Saïgon (ou ailleurs) avec une expérience professionnelle qui n'est pas transposable directement et sans savoir-faire spécifiques ? (j'ai travaillé 10 ans pour l'Etat sans utiliser de langues étrangères)
En d'autres termes est-il possible de se former sur place pour une personne qui a plus de 35 ans ?
La réponse à la première question est-elle très différente si j'essaye d'apprendre le vietnamien ?

pour bosser sur place essais pas de parler vietnamien apprend le avant.
De plus le vietnam est un pays jeune et les tout petits boulot(style gardien de moto) sont tenus par des locaux qui n on pas de formation particuliere, ni diplome ou n ayant pas eu la chance et les moyens d aller a l ecole.
Alors sans une experience specifique pouvant interresser d employé un etranger ne parlant pas du tout le vietnamien, je te souhaite bon courage.
Prend exemple sur les immigrés arrivant dans un pays européens sans parler la langue du pays(le francais chez nous)quels emplois ont ils?
Car tu serais exactement dans le meme cas, vouloir faire une chose c est bien( meme a 35 ans ) encore faut il pouvoir
bonne chance et te lances pas dans cette aventure sur un coup de coeur ou de tete.

Je voudrais te demander quelques précisions : est-ce qu'apprendre suffisamment le vietnamien pour exprimer des choses simples de la vie quotidienne donne des chances nettement plus élevées de trouver un travail correct ou alors il faut être presque bilingue (comme certains français que j'ai vu là-bas) ?
Par ailleurs, concernant la barrière de la langue, je me demandais s'il n'y avait pas là-bas suffisamment de petits entrepreneurs français susceptibles d'embaucher un autre français (ne parlant pas forcément vietnamien) ?
Les Vietnamiens que je connais là-bas sont professeurs de français et ils rencontrent parfois des problèmes linguistiques qu'ils peinent à résoudre sans l'aide d'un français. J'avais pensé qu'il était peut-être possible de travailler dans l'enseignement du français, est-ce irréaliste ? (dans certains pays, il existe des professeurs qui ne parlent pas la langue du pays d'accueil)

Dans l ideal je te dirais meme trilingue vietnamien bien sur, anglais aussi car peu de vietnamien parle encore le francais a ce jour cela arrive mais c est rare et souvent des personnes agées ayant connus l indochine sous la coupe des francais.
Il est excat que dans certains pays il est possible de donnés des cours de francais mais sans diplome pas simple.j ai connus cela aussi en amerique du sud etant prof de francais avec deux ans de droits et parlant aussi espagnol .
Deja que pour avoir une entreprise quelconque il faut un associés vietnamien si tu connais un entrepreneurs francais t embauchant sur place sans parler le vietnamien , j y crois pas vraiment de plus les salaires sont tres bas sur place avec en plus une inflation galopante.
Mais je te donne ces infos que je possede et d autres forumiste qui bossent sur place pourront te donner certainement bien plus d infos que moi.
Je te pose une question pourquoi faire ce choix au vietnam?

En fait, l'idée de l'expatriation me trotte dans la tête depuis un certain nombre d'années.
Tout a commencé par deux voyages dans des pays lointains qui furent des expériences superbes : cela m'a donné le goût de la découverte et l'envie de renouveler ces expériences plusieurs fois et pour des séjours de plus en plus long (jusqu'à 4 semaines).
Pendant plusieurs années, j'ai envisagé différentes solutions pour travailler à l'étranger (en travaillant pour l'Etat français ou bien une entreprise privée) mais parfois cela n'a pas abouti, et parfois je n'ai pas osé tenter ma chance sans l'assurance de trouver une situation convenable là-bas.
Je porte mon choix spécifiquement sur le VN car j'ai un goût nettement plus marqué pour l'extreme-Orient (je crois connaître assez bien leurs cultures) et je pense pouvoir vivre dans ces pays. Par ailleurs, je connais des gens au VN et notamment une personne que j'apprécie beaucoup. 😛
Pour l'instant, je n'ai bien sûr pris aucune décision mais j'essaye de voir s'il est possible de bâtir un projet crédible. Tes réponses ne m'ont pas vraiment surpris, j'avais vu sur internet qu'il n'était pas simple pour des étrangers de travailler au VN. Mais, de ma petite expérience de vie, je pense qu'il ne faut jamais se décourager trop vite et que des opportunités inattendues peuvent se présenter. (surtout que ça ne me dérangerait pas trop d'apprendre le vietnamien, j'avais déjà réussi à avoir un niveau acceptable en Chinois)
c'est possible de trouver du boulot, même sans qualifications particulière.
