donc j'ai couché 3 nuits au Paris, hôtel super bien situé, propre, super chaleureux même les machines à sous on un thème "français" avec ex du french cancan! La musique en français des ascenceurs c'est aussi rigolo. Nous avons utiliser le plan buffet 24h pour 39$ ça vaut la peine surtout si vous allez au buffet du Paris très très bon.
Je suis une grande marcheuse et malgré tout j'étais épuisée après 2 jours à marcher et visiter les hôtels. J'ai égallement vu 2 spectacle du cirque du soleil.

😉 Merci Panisse, cela a l'air sympa, mais pour le Treasure Island il n'y a rien, nous avions l'intention de prendre tous nos petits déjeuners au TI, pour plus de facilité le matin, et pour le lunch et le diner aller dans divers endroits, par la même occasion connaissez vous des astuces pour avec les fameux 2 for 1 ? 😊
Alors les bonnes affaires que nous avons fait: pour le musée de Madame Tussaud 12$ chacun (prix reg 25$) demander un prix au comptoire de vente de billets et spectacles du Venitian (il est situé dans l'entrée principale sous le plafont peint ).
Pour les spectacles nous avons vu "O" et "Love" 2 merveilles!!!
Les livrets de coupons que l'hôtel distribue ne sont pas à négliger il y a des offres intéressantes

Ho oui le bus la passe pour 3 jours est géniale surtout si on utilise les express parce que le soir le deuce est aussi long que la marche...parfois même plus lent mais plus reposant.

Nous avons pris un pass pour avoir accès aux plus belles boites de nuit de Vegas sans faire faire la queue et avec une entrée sure à 100%, le Tao de l'hotel Venitian fait partie de notre liste et cela va être je pense la première boite que nous allons faire, j'aimerais donc votre avis sur cet établissement ( musique, style de fréquentation, prix des boissons, ambiance) j'ai pu voir quelques vidéos sur YouTube et cela a l'air bien sympathique...Si vous avez des noms de Nightclub (comme le Pure du Caesar Palace) qu'il ne faut surtout pas rater, je suis preneur de la moindre info .
Je viens de réserver au City Center Motel, sur Freemont street au coin de Las Vegas Boul, La "stip". Il est très bien situé .Ça n'a pas le style glamour de certains hôtels-casino mais comme ceux ci, c'est pas cher. Le stationnement et le wi- fi est gratuit ansis que le petit déj continental, contrairement certain des gros hôtels.

Attention ! Le Flamingo a des chambres entièrement rénovées !
Nous y avons logé en Août 2009, et avions choisi une Suite Go Luxury with Strip View (ce sont celles qu'il faut choisir pour avoir les rénovées) pour 90$ la nuit !
En plus, l'avantage du Flamingo c'est qu'il est idéalement situé sur le Strip, ce qui ne gâche rien 😛
Immense et confortable ! Nous y retournons en Avril prochain😛
Fremont street est relativement loin de la Strip je vous recommande d'utiliser le service d'autobus car le soir honnêtement je n'aurais pas marché entre la strip et freemont (super rue en passant!!).

L'hôtel Paris à Las Vegas fait parti des plus cher du Strip, pour faire une estimation voici le lien direct de l'hôtel ou vous allez pouvoir faire une simulation de prix en fonction du nombres de nuits et de la date de votre sejour, il faut savoir qu'à Vegas, les nuit d'hotel double et parfois triple en W.E, il est donc judicieux d'arriver un Lundi 😉
Le City Center Motel dont je parle précédemment, je paye 98$ pour 2 nuits, wi fi , stationnement et petit dèj. continental inclus. Mais le motel est pas très beau de l'extérieur.
Mais peut-être un peu loin de la Strip aux dires de certains par contre sur la rue Freemont

Pour l'hotel Paris je n'ai pas payé cher puisque j'ai pris un vol aussi en utilisant Expédia j'ai vraiment aimé cet hôtel! C'est surtout qu'il est très bien situé. Nous étions 2 amies en voyages alors pas question de nous éloigner de la strip (question de sécurité).
Le plan buffet c'est 40$ et tu as le droit à autant de repas que tu veux en 24h donc nous se fut 3 repas donc un déjeuné au Paris. Il faut dire qu'en janvier il y a moins de monde peut-être qu'en mai se sera plus long mais moi il n'y avait pas vraiment d'attente.

Pour avoir été à Vegas plusieurs fois, loger au Luxor, Golden Nuggets, TI, Flamingo, le Flamingo c'est le TOP rapport qualité/prix/situation
Amabilité, chambre nickel propre, et idem les salles de jeux et autres... On y a logé en 2008 et en 2010, et déjà en 2008 la chambre Go de luxe (sans strip view) était magnifique. En 2010 on en a eu une avec Strip view (on avait réservé une suite dans les derniers étages mais il y avait eu une inondation la semaine précédente dans les derniers étages ou sont situées les suite, ce qui fait quon a eu la godeluxe avec strip view avec excuse, rabais, coupons pour restaus de l'hotel etc..)
Donc super hotel pour Vegas sans hésiter vu les tarifs proposés, le bon vivre dans l'hotel, l'agence Hertz et le parking de voiture de loc sur place, l'accès direct au monorail de l'hotel, la ligne de bus en face, l'accès direct au Bellagio et au Caesar palace par la rampe qui traverse le strip juste en face, un Tix4tonight juste à côté, la vue sur les fontaines du bellagio le soir avec la chambre strip view, dommage d'en dire du mal. Sans oublier les demoiselles du Xburlesque le soir 😛
Ceci dit, le TI, on y avait pris une suite, c'est la catégorie au dessus, c'est clair, mais c'est différent, pas le même prix non plus, un peu plus loin (de toute façon à Vegas, faut marcher). Pour la suite qu'on avait avec vue sur le Strip (SUPERBE), si vous êtes à un moment dans votre chambre pour vous reposer et qu'il est aux environs de 17h, ne comptez pas faire une sieste avec le spectacle des sirènes du TI qui fait un sacré boucan

Le forfait buffet est sûrement avantageux au point de vue prix, par contre, je me sentirais pas libre de manger au gré de mes balades en sachant que j'ai payé pour. En plus tu parle de files d'attente possible.

Concernant les tarifs des hotels à LV, tu peux arriver le dimanche, le tarif est en effet degressif à partir du dimanche (non pas à partir de lundi)

on a été au Tao, Pure et Studio 54 au MGM et plusieurs bars assez sympas du genre pussycat dolls etc et plusieurs pool party dans l'apres midi. les gens sont assez stylés donc pas de short, basket. les prix des boissons c'était 10$/15$ il me semble et n'oubliez pas vos passeports parce qu'on me l'a demandé plusieurs fois et j'ai...32 ans!
POur la passe buffet je voudrais péciser qu'il y a 6 hôtels dans le forfait donc on peut manger tout le monde de la srip, nous avons mangé à 3 endroits différents et même que si nous n'avions pas été si fatiguée nous aurions réussi à prendre un 4e repas :) ON peut aller au ceasar, au prais au flamingo au rio et aussi au harras.

Le site Vegas.com est fiable et propose toujours d'excellents tarifs, ce qui n'empeche nullement, bien au contraire de toujours comparer avec ce qui est proposé ailleurs.
S'inscrire à la newsletter de tous les hotels casinos où l'on souhaiterait séjourner est déjà un basic.
Pour les autres hotels, quand vous séjournez plusieurs jours, il y a toujours moyen d'avoir des tarifs plus interessant. Lorsque nous avions réservé pour Janvier 2010, le Flamingo m'a donné un coup de fil pour nous proposer une suite pour 10$ de plus par nuit (suite que nous n'avons pu avoir à cause de l'inondation, voir mon message précédent ), tarfis préférentiel sur la suite du TI que nous avons reçu par email suite à notre inscription. Je reçois régulièrement des offres promos du Mirage et du Venetian
Pour ceux qui pourrait croire qu'il n'y a que le Strip qui compte, détrompez vous. Un des meilleurs séjour et superbe chambre que nous avons eu est dans la Rush Tower du Golden nugget (celui ci donnant directement sur Fremont Street experience) voici deux photos de la chambre qui ne nous a couté que 60$ la nuit

Tant qu'à être dans le coin, va au El Cortez à deux pas prendre une carte de fidélité; j'y ai déjà dormi, mangé et surtout je m'y suis follement amusé aux frais de la maison.
Bon on s'entend bien que ce n'est pas le Bellagio mais jouer y est très très abordable.

Il y a entre 5 et 10 restaurants ou cafés dans tous ces hôtels donc ça dépend de ce que l'on veut, entre le buffet tout compris et un petit-déj à la carte, on ratisse très large en terme de choix et de prix.

Hello everyone! Really damaged due to flooding caused by runoff after forest fires (a total mess!), does anyone in this friendly forum have any updates on the Apache Trail between Apache Junction and Roosevelt Dam? Is there still a section of the road that’s tough to navigate?
We're leaving at the end of June and will be driving the route between Buffalo and Cody. We’ve already booked our accommodations and a rodeo in Cody, but during the day, we’ll be driving between the two and I’m unsure about the itinerary.
Which route do you think is the most pleasant, interesting, or scenic between:
- The northern route via Highway 14 with Sheridan, Lowell, etc.
- The southern route with Highways 16/20/14, passing by Loaf Mountain Overlook, Powder River Pass, Ten Sleep Canyon...
We’ll be in a car, so we should be able to drive on any road.

I’m almost done planning our September road trip. After our 3-night visit to Sequoia, we’ll have a stopover night in Coalinga (to break up the drive). We’ll be staying two nights in Monterey and would like to stop along the way to visit one side of Pinnacles National Park. We’re torn between the West entrance and the East entrance, and we’d like to do a short hike of no more than 2 hours since we don’t want to arrive too late in Monterey.
This park is split into two distinct zones with no connection between them, and the mileage from Coalinga to Monterey is pretty much the same for both. Which area do you recommend visiting—east or west? And which route is the most scenic?
I’ve spotted two short hikes:
- East: Moses Spring to Rim Trail Loop
- West: Balconies Cliffs Cave Loop
Has anyone been there, or do you have another hike to suggest?

After our first trip as a young couple to the West in 2007 (yes, that doesn’t make us any younger!), we’re planning to go back in 2028, but this time as a family of four! (We have two boys who’ll be 5½ and 13 years old in the summer of 2028.)
Our plan is to combine a few big cities (SF and LA, maybe San Diego) with national parks and state parks, mostly!
Ideally, we’d like to leave at the end of June and head back to France around July 19–20, so we can enjoy the first week of the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Since we already did the "loop" in 2007, there are must-see places we absolutely want to revisit—and especially share with our kids: Bryce Canyon, Yosemite, and above all, the Grand Canyon, which is still the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen on Earth!
On the other hand, some places didn’t leave a big impression on us for various reasons, so we’re not making them a priority: Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley, for example.
We’re planning ahead, but might as well be smart about it😏

Just a quick question about King Canyon and Sequoia National Park.
Before our night in Miramonte, we plan to visit King Canyon. The next stop will be two nights in Three Rivers to explore Sequoia National Park. I wanted to go all the way to Roaring River Falls on the King Canyon Scenic Byway and then turn back to head to Miramonte. Since we’re coming from Oakhurst, Google Maps says it’s 300 km and 5 hours of driving. Since we also want to hike to see the sequoias (Big Stump Area and Grand Grove) before tackling the King Canyon Scenic Byway, the timing’s going to be tight. How far do you recommend going before turning back to miss as few points of interest as possible on the King Canyon Scenic Byway? Thanks for your advice, and have a great evening!

We’ll be alternating between house swaps, motels, and campgrounds. I’ve booked all the accommodations (except the campground at Bryce since sunset bookings open only 14 days in advance) and the first activities, as well as the most touristy ones.

I’d like to travel along I-15N from San Diego to Las Vegas with my mom, who’s 67. We’ve explored Northern California and the California Coast over the past two years and now want to continue through the desert.
There are several attractions along the way:
- Mormon Rocks
- Desert Discovery Center and visit the Old Woman meteorite
- Joshua Tree National Park
- Mojave Desert
- Mojave National Preserve
- Anza-Borrego Desert State Park
- Silverwood Lake
My mom has back issues that prevent her from hiking or walking on trails with elevation changes. Is it possible to visit these places by car, or are the routes flat enough?
I’d love for her to experience the desert with an itinerary adapted to her condition. I’m also open to other points of interest that aren’t mentioned. We have 3-4 days for the trip, so we’re not in a rush—just want to explore.
I’d love to take a road trip and visit Nova Scotia. I’d appreciate some info on the best cities to see and the most interesting spots. The trip should last about 10 to 15 days, staying in hotels or motels. Thanks in advance!

Is it pretty easy to navigate Detroit Airport to catch the connecting flight to Grand Rapids (domestic flight)? There are several of them who speak English well.

We’d like to walk to Eagle Falls and then Eagle Lake. I’ve spotted two parking lots that seem close to each other and give access to the trailhead. Where and how do we pay for entry to Emerald Bay State Park and Inspiration Point?
**Viewpoints on the East Side:**
Are most of the viewpoints (Balancing Rock, Granite Cave, Bonsai Rock, etc.) right by the road, or do you have to hike to reach them?
**Donner Memorial State Park:**
Is it worth making a detour to Truckee to visit this park and the Truckee historic downtown?

I’ve read there are trails to access the trailheads for Cinder Cone (11 km) and Warner Valley. Are these easy trails for an SUV?

I’m a total USA addict. I’ve already done several road trips, including the East Coast and West Coast.
I’m here today because I’m planning to go back for another road trip on the West Coast. Possibly with one of my sisters and a couple of friends. It’s still just a plan for now, but I’m working on an itinerary in the meantime. Ideally, I’d leave in 2026, but I don’t have the exact dates yet—maybe April-May or September-October.
My last trip to the West Coast was in September 2014. We went for 2 weeks, but this time it’d be 3 weeks. What made me want to go back was simply a colleague who just left today. As I’m writing this, he’s on the plane. I’m so happy for him, but now all I can think about is going back.
Since I recently went to NY, I noticed that prices have really gone up. I assume the same is true for the West Coast? For 2 people over 3 weeks, what budget should I expect? We’re the type to watch our spending and find great tips.
I think we’ll arrive in San Francisco like the first time and leave from either Los Angeles or Las Vegas.

I assume many of you already know, but the America the Beautiful annual pass, which was $80, will increase to $250 starting January 1, 2026.
So if you're planning to travel before the end of December 2026, it's in your best interest to buy your pass in December 2025, since it will still cost $80 and be valid until the end of December 2026 if you purchase it in December 2025.
This price increase only applies to non-U.S. residents.
Additionally, for those who planned to visit just one park, a $100 surcharge per person will apply to access a list of 11 national parks...
For example, if there are 4 of you in a car, you’ll have to pay $35 + $400,
which comes to $435 to visit one of the 11 parks on the list (I don’t have all of them... Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, etc.).
Total madness.
The goal is to push people who only visit one park into buying the annual pass.
Last point: free entry days are over for non-residents!

We just finished 9 days in the American West and wanted to share our experience because we had an amazing time.
I know some of you might ask, why use an agency? Honestly, we didn’t really feel like doing all the driving and planning, especially since we didn’t know the area at all. And since our English isn’t great, having French-speaking guides was a big comfort.
We found Emmanuelle and Isabelle, and wow, they were fantastic. It was just the two of us with them, so it was a truly VIP, ultra-personalized experience. The service was really personalized. They adapted to our pace and preferences, and we could stop whenever we wanted to take photos. It’s the luxury of being in a small private group—you’re not just a number on a big bus.
In short, we really felt like we were traveling with friends rather than professional guides. Everything’s included in the price (hotel pickup, meals, park entries, etc.), so the value for money is fair.
We loved it so much that we’re already planning to come back next year to explore other areas with them. I think we’ve caught the American West bug—it’s all we can think about, and we can’t wait to return.
