Pour l'instant il y a dix personnes de décédés de cette grippe aviaire pour toute l'Asie du Sud Est et saviez vous que dans une maison de retraite de Sevran ( donc en France ), huit personnes sont mortes de la grippe......

Pour info, la grippe aviaire aujourd'hui a des chances de muter avec la grippe.... donc aujourd'hui en effet on peut comparer ce virus à un quotidien en France, mais le risque est quand mm qu'il mute... et c 'est à la grippe espagnole qu'on risque de se référer en terme de morts!!

salut, mon dieu que c'est compliqué!! je me fesais une joie d'enfin pouvoir me detendre dans un pays magnifique avec deshabitants merveilleux, 3 ans deja que je n'y suis pas retournée car j'ai essayé d'autres pays (r dominicaine et ile maurice) c'était bien aussi mais dans un autre genre et comme j'ai du sang vietnamien je pense que c'est pour ca que mon coeur balance pour l'asie. chaque jour je regarde les infos et je lis toutes vos reponses et je ne sais pas trop quoi faire.
on a deux problèmes :
le premier c'est que l'on voyage avec la fille de mon ami qui a 15 ans et que sa mère n'est pas trop chaude pour la laisser partir en plus on doit respecter les vacances scolaires, depart le 20 fevrier
le deuxième c''est que l'on a deja teste le rapatriement sanitaire en jet privé sur singapour lors d'un de nos voyages en indonesie (flores), mon ami à contracte la paludisme falciparium et a bien failli crever, nos vacances se sont passées à l'hopital de bali d'abord (9 jours) et de singapour ensuite 15 jours, ila des sequelles au foie et bon, les risques on les a pris, on n'a plus trop envie de vivre de telles mesaventures, ça n'arrive pas qu'aux autres......
alors voila je sais toujours pas et ça me fout les boules grave!!!
La zone contaminee par la grippe aviaire compte des centaines de millions d'habitants si pas un milliard (pres de la moitie de la Chine, Vietnam, Thailande, Pakistan, Indonesie...) et sur ces centaines de millions elle a fait moins de vingt victimes declarees. C'est tres malheureux pour les victimes, mais c'est infime. Bien moins que le risque d'accident d'avion, avion que vous etiez tous pret a prendre sans hesiters ! Sans parler de la malaria, la dengue etc etc.
On parle d'un risque de mutation, c'est vrai donc que les autorites sanitaires doivent se preparer mais cela ne veut pas dire qu'il ne faut pas partir dans les jours qui viennent.
Pour info, il existe un medicament antiviral pour la grippe qui devrait etre efficace, le Tamiflu, si vous etes vraiment inquiet mettez en une boite dans vos bagages et puis basta !

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
