Hi,

Bad news for foreign visitors 🙁. No info yet on when this will take effect or the cost of the Beautiful Pass, currently at $80.

United States: Donald Trump raises national park entry fees... for foreigners

Not exactly the best Independence Day news 🙁

Hi,

The ONLY real information is HERE, and the America the Beautiful Pass as we know it remains unchanged!

https://nps.gov/planyourvisit/passes.htm

Sure, there’s been some chatter about price hikes "for certain passes"... but that was just to boost their follower count (TikTok, Insta, and the worst of ‘em).

Why alarm everyone when NOTHING is certain???

Bad news for foreign visitors

Hi,

Second post on this Independence Day. In the media or on forums, Trump is dominating the public space😉

How many years has the Pass price ($80 - 70 €) stayed the same?

For our first trip to the United States, back in May 2006, the pass cost us $50. It’s been $80 since the early 2010s. It wasn’t Trump, but Obama who decided to increase the pass by 60%. And the number of tourists didn’t drop overnight. Quite the opposite.

If Trump decides to increase the pass by 60% (just like his predecessor 🤪) and raise it to $120 or $150, it’ll just be a drop in the bucket compared to the thousands of euros a trip to the U.S. costs. Just a reminder, the Pass gives access to all the NPs, NMs, NWRs, NHSs, ... and is valid for over 12 months.

When you compare prices (hotels, restaurants, car rentals—and I’m not even talking about visits like Antelope Canyon...) with those from 10-15 years ago, everything has more than doubled or even tripled. And the number of tourists keeps rising...

Hi,

If the price of the Beautiful Pass doesn’t go up, that’s great news for future travelers. Either way, it’s still really cheap considering the number of parks.

Médias ou forums, Trump occupe la place publique😉

Trump made this announcement during a trip to Des Moines yesterday.

“America First”: Donald Trump raises national park entry fees for foreign tourists

My first trip to the West dates back to 1990, and I’ve seen and noticed the positive changes, but also the negative ones.

They can’t get by on $80 anymore.

When you read the recent reviews from the past few months (since March/April), the conclusion is always the same: it’s crowded everywhere. So even if there are a few fewer tourists, no one’s going to complain.
