Mon mari et moi partons en Inde en Octobre prochain 😎. Nous avons prévu de nous rendre après-demain à l'ambassade d'Inde à Bruxelles pour déposer la demande de visa...
Si je résume, d'après ce que je comprends, pour chaque visa, nous devons compléter manuellement le formulaire disponible sur le site de l'Ambassade d'Inde de Bruxelles, joindre 2 photos d'id, apporter 50 eur tout rond en cash et nos précieux passeports valables 6 mois après le retour et disposant de pages vides.
Mais en lisant les forums sur le sujet, j'ai pensé à une chose. La carte d'identité belge (comparable à une carte de crédit...) ne contient pas notre adresse. Le passeport biométrique non plus. Doit-on apporter la preuve de notre lieu de résidence pour la demande de visa (composition de ménage ou un document identique...) ?
Le formulaire français ne semble pas être le même que celui que nous devons compléter et je me pose encore une seconde question : ils demandent 2 adresses à laquelle ils peuvent nous joindre en Belgique en cas d'Ur. et 2 autres adresses en Inde pour la même raison. Partants en circuit préparé depuis la france, je ne dispose pas d'adresses particulières en Inde qui permettraient d'être joignable en cas d'urgence. Ces adresses sont-elles indispensables ?

Sur le formulaire français, la partie "B" où est demandé de mentionner 2 adresses en Inde n'est pas à remplir par les demandeurs de visa touristique...
En France, à aucun moment de la procédure on ne demande de montrer la carte d'identité ou un justificatif de domicile...
Pourrait il en être autrement en Belgique ?...
Le dossier complet comprend :
- Passeport...
- Photocopie des 4 premières pages du passeport...
- Formulaire rempli daté et signé...
- 2 photos
- Montant des frais... (en France : 62€)

Effectivement, je ne vois pas comment il pourrait en être autrement pour la demande de visa en Belgique. Si ces mentions ne sont pas requises, je ne vais pas m'inquiéter pour rien.
Juste que vu que nous en avons pour 3h de train-aller et 3h de train-retour, nous voulons mettre toutes les chances de notre coté pour ne pas revenir bredouilles 😛, d'où mon post.
Pour les adresse d'urgence, je mets l'adresse de mes parents et sur place, je met l'adresse d'un hôtel d'un guide.....
Mais, partant avec une agence, renseignes-toi quand même si c'est pas eux qui font les visas. Comme ça, tu ne devras pas te déplacer.
Aussi non, pour gagner un aller-retour d'Arlon, tu peux obtenir ton visa dans la journée mais pour cela, il faudra que tu arrives vers 8h30 et te mettre dans la file...
Lors de la remise des documents, on te donnera alors un ticket pour retirer ton passeport le jour même entre 17h et 17h45.
Tu verras, à l'ambassade indienne de Bruxelles, on est déjà un peu en Inde......😛

Pour l'agence malheureusement non, ils ne s'occupent pas des visas. Je pars avec un organisme français et étant belge habitant en belgique, l'agence ne s'en occupe pas et nous renvoie à action-visa.com...
Nous avons prévu de tenter le tout-en-une-journée 😎 ... j'ai dit "tenter" !!! Nous prenons le train cet aprem et avons pris une chambre près de l'ambassade (enfin près ... tout est relatif) ... pour être dans la file tôt ... le but étant de tenter (bis) de récupérer les passeports le jour même comme tu le mentionnes.
Si ca ne va pas, on reviendra visiter Bruxelles 😉.
Ce qu'on veut juste éviter, c'est d'y aller et s'entendre dire "il manque ce document, désolé, faut revenir" ... 🤪

Alors pour le visa indien en, belgique, il te faudra:
ton passepot avec validité de 6 mois après le retour.
2 photos didentité
remplir le document sur place ou avant si tu las fait via le net
et 50 euros

ne fais pas la demande le jeudi, les autres jours de la semaine sont ok. Pour la demande de visa, il faut sy rendre entre 9h et 12h
tu viendras chercher le passeport avec visa le jour même ou le lendemain entre 17h et 17h30.
sinon pour les adresses, mets juste une adresse de belgique à contacter si urgence. pour ladresse en inde tu nes pas obligée de la remplir, sinon mets une adresse dhôtel par exemple.
Bien entendu, vous faites comme vous l'entendez. Toutefois, à votre place, je téléphonerais directement à l'ambassade à Bruxelles pour avoir les renseignements exacts.
Par expérience, je sais que ce qui est demandé comme renseignement dans l'ambassade d'un pays en Belgique ne correspond pas toujours à ce qui est demandé dans l'ambassade du même pays dans un autre pays.
Un exemple concret : à l'ambassade de Syrie à Bruxelles, vous devez produire la preuve d'une réservation de logement en Syrie. A l'ambassade de Syrie à Paris, ce n'est pas du tout le cas.
Ce serait quand même ennuyeux de vous retrouver à l'ambassade sans les documents dont vous avez besoin.

Juste pour vous rassurer: l'obtention du visa est super facile et rapide, 50 €, 2 photos et le formulaire téléchargé sur le site rempli. suis allée a 10 h, 5/6 pers dans la queue, retour 17h 3 pers devant moi. Ai mis adresse Hotel à Delhi où je passe 1re nuit...

En Belgique, ça a l'air nettement plus facile qu'en France pour obtenir ce fameux visa d'après ce que j'ai pu lire sur ce forum.
En 2006, ma boîte a déposé mon passeport le matin avec le formulaire de demande rempli de façon électronique et je l'ai récupéré le lendemain avec mon visa à entrées multiples.
A aucun moment, on ne m'a demandé ma carte d'identité.
Bref, c'est très rapide.

en france, en 2006, c'est aussi tres facile.
maintentant les frontieres indiennes se ferment doucement et c'est de plus en plus difficile a avoir des visas surtout ceux pour travailler.
Disons que tout dépend du type de boulot qu'on veut y faire.
Mon employeur par exemple emploie plus de 40.000 personnes en Inde donc forcément, ça facilite pas mal les choses. Dans mon cas, il s'agissait d'une mission de 6 mois durant lesquelles j'aurais continué à être employé (et payé) par mon employeur en Belgique => pas besoin de permis de travail.
Pour la petite histoire, le projet fut annulé et je n'ai jamais mis les pieds en Inde; mais ce n'est que partie remise.

Voilà, je les ai, les fameux visas 🙂.
Avant de partir, j'avais suivi le conseil de Nabrab et j'avais téléphoné (renseignements sur les visas : entre 14h et 16h). Comme décrit dans ce post : 50 eur + passeport (valable 6 mois après retour et pages vierges en suffisance) + formulaire (téléchargé sur le site de l'ambassade d'inde à Bruxelles) complété et signé.
Voici notre parcours 🙂.
Arrivés à 8h40 devant le numéro 215 de l'avenue de Vleurgat (le n° 217 est réservé à d'autres fins que les visas), nous sommes les 3e dans la file 🙂 et là, on y croit à notre "tout-en-une-journée" 😎. 9h30 tapantes, la porte s'ouvre et nous recevons un ticket. Nous entendons que le touriste devant nous pourra reprendre son passeport+visa le jour même. Et là, nous sommes heureux 😮. Dans la minute qui suit, nous fournissons tous les documents, le ticket s'imprime et l'Agent écrit "16" en nous disant avec un grand sourire "Tomorrow" et nous sommes ... anéantis 🤪 ... lolll ... Nous étions psychologiquement préparés pour reprendre le visa le jour même ou un autre jour mais nous n'avons tout bêtement pas prévu de rester 2 jours à Bruxelles ...
Moralité.
Si vous allez à Bruxelles pour ce visa, préparez-vous à revenir le lendemain ou le surlendemain de 17 à 17h30 (et arrivez vers 16h00).
Nous avons de la chance, nous avons pu choisir de rester sur place pour nous éviter 4x 3h de train en 24h.
Et comparé à ce que l'on peut voir pour la France, nous avons de la chance également de pouvoir obtenir le visa en un laps temps si court !>> 1er pas vers l'Inde : ok 😎

I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I’ll explain my situation.
Unfortunately, I lost my passport, and I only realized it two weeks before my departure for a humanitarian mission in Libya. I’m a nurse, and this mission really means a lot to me.
First, I applied for an emergency passport, but it was denied by the Val-d'Oise prefecture on the grounds that a planned humanitarian mission wasn’t considered an urgent reason.
So, I submitted a biometric passport application on July 20th. Since then, the tracking has been stuck, and the town hall can’t (or won’t) give me any clear information. Every time I call, I get a different story. The last update I received was that the passport had been produced since July 23rd with a status of "about to be shipped," but nothing since then.
I’ve managed to push my departure back to next Tuesday at the latest, but I’m starting to really panic.
Have any of you submitted an application around July 20th, especially in Val-d'Oise (95)? How long did you wait between the passport being produced and it being available at the town hall? Is it normal for this step to take this long?
This mission means so much to me. I had everything organized, and I’m also supposed to attend a friend’s wedding right after near the border.

I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!
If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I’ve tried my hotel, the Lotte Hotel (which is well-known in Seoul), the airport—basically, I’ve entered at least 20 addresses, all rejected....

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

I’ve read that China may ask for proof of exit within 30 days (flight ticket or other reservation). Since we’d be leaving by land, I’m wondering how this works in practice.

On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?

I saw on the French Embassy in Peru’s website and the Peruvian Consulate in Paris’s site that the rule is to have a passport valid for 6 months *after the arrival date* (not the return date).
I arrive in Peru on August 13, 2019 (for about twelve days), and my passport is valid until February 16, 2020.
That’s 6 months and 3 days after my arrival date in Peru. In my opinion, I’m good to go.
But could I still be denied entry if they say I don’t cover the return date or that I’m too close to the 6-month mark?
