Bonjour chers amis globe-trotter et amoureux de l'Inde!
Suite à une belle opportunité, j'ai la chance d'effectuer un "stage" (peut-être un futur emploi?) de 6 mois rémunéré dans une boîte de graphisme à Bangalore. Pour moi qui n'ai encore aucune expérience professionnelle dans ce milieu et qui rêve de découvrir le monde, c'est une chance à saisir et une grande joie.
Je ne connais pas du tout l'Inde et c'est pourquoi je commence dès à présent à me renseigner au maximum. Bon j'avoue que certains aspects me font un peu "peur" (notamment l'hygiène, la sécurité des transports, le racisme...), mais ça me parait naturel lorsque l'on ne connait pas et sommes habitué à un mode de vie. J'ai lu de très beaux témoignages comme des moins encourageants. Je veux me faire ma propre idée.
- Au niveau du salaire que l'on me propose, il me semble plus que correct au vu des salaires moyens indiens, surtout qu'il s'agit d'un stage: Rs.15,000 par mois. Qu'en pensez-vous? sachant que je n'ai quasi pas d'argent de côté (le billet d'avion va quasiment me vider mes petites économies) et que je devrais donc vivre avec ces Rs.15,000 pour seul salaire mensuel.
- Quelles dépenses faut-il prévoir à mon arrivée? Quelle somme minimum dois-je avoir sur mon compte pour vivre le premier mois? manger, trouver un logement (y a t-il plusieurs loyers à payer d'avance?), transports.....
- Par ce post, j'aimerai également faire la connaissance de personnes étant déjà sur place ou des étudiants qui effectueront un stage durant la même période entre autre.
En ayant flâné sur le net, j'ai pu voir différentes images de Bangalore. C'est assez déstabilisant lorsque l'on voit de grand building assez futuristes et ensuite des chemins de terre dans la ville. Difficile de connaître le vrai visage de cette ville à distance.
Y a t-il des quartiers animés? des endroits ou les jeunes sortent?
J'ai aussi eu la chance de faire un stage en Inde, à Mumbai..il y a mnt presque 4 ans.
Je ne connais pas Bangalore mais les échos que j'en ai eu sont les suivants: ville agréable à vivre avec pas mal d'espaces verts.

Pour ma part, j'ai fait mon stage dans une entreprise européenne (Audi)...mais tous mes collègues étaient indiens. Ca a été un SUPERBE expérience tant professionnelle que personnelle. J'ai trouvé mon logement par le biais de la paying guest accomodation et nous étions une quinzaine ds l'appart. Ma famille était assez occidentalisée donc peut etre plus facile pr l'adaptation. de plus il y avait pas mal de jeunes dc c'était très bien. je me suis vite habitué au mode de vie: horaires, nourriture (le seul bémol de mon aventure car je n'ai pas trop aimé), j'allais au boulot en rickshaw...
La culture, les couleurs, le développement du pays m'ont émerveillé. La misère et la saleté m'ont assez marqué (pb de sécurité aussi : j'y étais pdt les attentats de 2006 dans les trains de banlieue). Je ne cherchais pas vraiment a aller en Inde au départ mais par la force des choses j'ai du y aller vu que j'avais trouvé mon stage la bas. J'ai vécu une exp inoubliable et espère bientot retourner dans ce beau pays.
Bombay est une ville très jolie, mais la plus chère d'Inde. j'ai eu la chance de visiter ensuite le pays..
Je te conseille de bien préparer ton voyage: vaccin, lis des livres sur l'Inde et sa culture, regarde des photos...(car l'arrivée est assez difficile)...

Tant d'enthousiasme me donne déjà envie d'y être, même si j'appréhende l'arrivée et le temps d'adaptation.
En réalité mon dernier (et premier) voyage c'était à Tokyo! J'avais d'ailleurs le projet de m'y rendre à nouveau en fin d'année avec un visa vacances-travail, mais finalement... il y a cette opportunité. L' Asie au sens large m'attire, la culture, le spiritualisme si développé, le mental et la philosophie des gens tellement différent des européens.
J'ai envie de me laisser porter. Après le stage, pourquoi pas rester en Inde, ou découvrir la Corée, la Thaïlande... ce qui est sûre c'est que je chercherai à partir encore plus loin et découvrir toujours! J'ai passé + de 10 ans en France et + de 10 ans en Suisse, il est temps de partir vers d'autres contrées! :-)
Question au sujet de l'Inde: comment se comporte les hommes vis à vis des femmes étrangères?
Je ne peux m'empêcher de penser à l'Inde comme d'un pays très pauvre, avec ces rues en terre battue, les animaux qui trainent, etc... mais y a t-il aussi des grands magasins avec des vêtements à l'occidental? Des marques internationales telles que "L'Oreal", "Benetton" par ex? des Macdo? des bar branchés et des discothèques ou les jeunes se retrouvent?
Je précise que ce n'est absolument pas ce que je recherche, mais j'ai tellement de peine à "imaginer" ce pays, moi petite européenne ne connaissant que la modernité et le luxe!
Bon je suis rassuré tu connais déjà l'Asie! ;) même si le Japon doit etre different de l'Inde.
Les Indiens se comportent plutot bien avec les occidentales...pas de soucis. Peut être un petit coté coureur de jupons voire macho mais rien de bien grave.
Tu trouveras biensur des marques occidentales en Inde (L'Oréal avec Aish. Rai en tant que représentante locale de la marque, Bénetton aussi..et plein d'autres). Les shopping malls poussent comme des cahmpignons..t très modernes (tout vitré..). McDo est aussi présent avc sa couleur local: Mc Maharadja....pas de viande.
Les choses ont peu etre un peu changé depuis. J'y étais lors de la dernière coupe du monde en 2006 et les Indiens adorent (ils supportaient surtout le Brésil).
Tu trouveras biensur aussi des bars et clubs...Je crois même que le plus gros club d'Asie est a New Delhi (musique bolly..).

Juste un conseil : sois très prudente sur la proposition qu'on te fait, sur le salaire surtout, tu as 99% de risques de te faire avoir !! Donc ne pars surtout pas sans argent !! Les indiens ont un problème majeur avec l'argent et l'honnêteté !

Pour l'instant tout se passe très bien, mais j'ai d'autres projets pour l'année prochaine et je n'ai pas envie de faire des dépenses entre temps. Donc si les conditions sont mauvaises et que je ne suis pas suffisamment "bien" payer pour ne pas avoir à sortir de l'argent de ma poche, je refuserai certainement...

A mon grand regret, j'ai finalement dû refuser la proposition de stage. J'ai préféré privilégier mes autres projets (de plus longue date) et surtout garder mes petites économies pour ça.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
