Hi there! We’re leaving in early November for a month. Here’s our itinerary: Arrival in Takhmau, then heading to: Kampong Cham Kratie – 2 days Mondolkiri – 3 days Ratanakiri – 3 days Stung Treng – 1 day Siem Reap – 4 days Battambang – 1 day Kampong Chhnang – 3 days Kampot – 2 days Islands (WE’RE HESITATING WHICH ONE?) – 4 DAYS Phnom Penh – 2 days That’s it! 😊 We’re backpacking… and we love spots that aren’t too touristy. If you’ve got any tips, we’re all ears! Thanks

hi,

for 1 month.

This contradicts what you said earlier.

Hi,

4 days in Siem Reap seems a bit short, especially if you love old ruins. There are plenty of interesting temples around Angkor that you can reach by bike or tuk-tuk, and they’re definitely less crowded than the main temples. I personally spent 8 days there.

Hi there,

It’s gonna be a lot of traveling, but overall it looks good to me. And great choice for the time of year—November is perfect! A few notes: - You didn’t specify how long you’re staying in Kampong Cham. Two days is plenty. - Stung Treng doesn’t have much to do, and you’ll have already seen the Mekong in Kampong Cham and Kratie. I think you could go straight to Siem Reap from Banlung and add an extra day there. - Three days in Kampong Chhnang is a lot. I’d say two, and then two days in Battambang instead. - In Kampot, you could spend an extra day (or in Kep). - It doesn’t add up to a full month—are you keeping a few days in reserve for a longer stop if you get tired?

Have a great trip! !
