Je m'expatrie à Kuala Lumpur dans 2 mois (mi-mai 2012) pour plusieurs années.
Je souhaiterais avoir de la part de ceux qui connaissent déjà le pays et cette ville qq conseils sur les précautions à prendre avant le départ, les pièges à éviter mais aussi les bons plans de sorties dans cette magnifique ville :)).
Mon déplacement et le logement sont pris en charge par ma société mais si vous connaissez des quartiers sympas pour habiter je suis preneur...
Par ailleurs, débarquant tout seul dans ce pays que je ne connais pas, je suis intéressé pour faire de nouvelles rencontres sur place. Alors si vous aussi vous habitez KL, pourquoi pas se rencontrer autour d'un verre si ça vous tente...
Salut KL n'ai rien d'une ville extraordinaire ceci dit c'est une ville assez agréable à vivre..
pas aussi oppressante que ne l'est Bangkok où il y a de la foule et des embouteillages monstres.
Concernant les pièges, rien de particulier il faut simplement respecter les us et coutumes ( religion musulmane et hindouïste..) avoir une tenue correcte pour rentrer dans les temples...
niveau sécurité , zéro problème faut faire attention tout de même aux pickpockets

A ce tarif là t'attends pas à des miracles, ce sera du basique sans clim, non meublé dans les quartiers périphériques, KL est sensiblement plus cher que le reste de la Malaisie comme toutes les capitales d'ailleurs.

Selon ta description je suppose que tu vas entrer en simple touriste et chercher du travail, donc tu sera travailleur illégal et je doute que quiconque prenne le risque de t'offrir un poste respectable ici.
Je ne peux que te mettre en garde car l'immigration malaise ne rigole pas avec ça et aiment bien faire des exemples, tu n'es pas un travailleur Népalais certes mais tu sera soumis aux mêmes règles et je peux te dire qu'ils serrent la vis en ce moment.
A mon avis c'est un choix risqué, si t'as besoin de tuyaux fais moi un MP.

merci pour ta reponse tu as l air sincere mais jai aussi la nationalité algerienne et visiblement je n aurai pas besoin de visa pour la malaisie de plus je suis de conféssion musulmane et il parait aussi que c un atous là bas! alor je vais continuer mes recherche car je pense que je vais tenter le coup quand meme !merci pour tous et jai d autre questions je n hésitrais pas !merci encore .
Soyons bien clair le fait que tu sois Algérien ou Marocains ou Français et de confession musulmane ne change rien à la donne, les lois sont les mêmes pour tout le monde. Tu peux bien entendu entrer en Malaisie sans visa comme tout citoyen de la communauté européenne par exemple, mais comme simple touriste ce qui te donne dans aucun cas le droit d'y travailler on est bien d'accord.
Après si tu veux le faire dans en bravant la loi à toi de prendre tes responsabilités, je te mets juste en garde.
Je vis et travaille ici depuis plusieurs années, j'ai fait toutes les formalités d'obtention de permis de travail moi même je peux te dire que c'est pas simple les exigences sont placées hautes, pour la faire courte si tu ne peux pas prouver que tu as des qualifications qui ne sont pas disponibles sur le marché du travail local ça va être difficile d'obtenir un permis de travail.
Le fait que tu sois Musulman te procureras certainement des avantages non négligeables pour t'intégrer et pratiquer ta religion dans les meilleures conditions mais en aucun cas ceci te permettra de braver les lois.
Il me semble que tu pars un peu dans l'inconnu, la préparation d'une telle aventure est primordiale si tu veux éviter la galère des petits boulots sous payés sans lendemains. Maintenant si c'est juste pour te faire des vacances alors hésite pas et prends du bon temps, tu verras les Malais tout comme les Malaisiens sont des gens très chaleureux. Désolé pour la métaphore...😉

ce que tu dis est vrai j'ai vu des camionnettes des services de l'immigration remplis d'indonésiens à Bornéo.Et c'était en 2008 , j'ai passé pas mal de temps là bas.Au milieu des locaux et c'est pas simple de trouver un domaine ou on peut bosser.
Quand aux arabes j'ai discuté avec des malais sur les différents peuples.On m'a dit qu'ils étaient pas très bien vu?

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
