Je pars travailler à Kuala Lumpur en Mars et je m'interroge sur le niveau de vie de cette capitale. J'ai l'habitude de voyager à petit budget mais il me semble que la vie peut etre plus chère en vivant dans une grande ville. Si quelqun peut m'indiquer combien coute un logement tout simple et si il est possible de vivre correctement avrc 600 à 800 euros;

Nous vivons actuellement en colocation avec un Malais, Nizam. Nous quittons son appartement dans une semaine pour la Thailande. Si ça t'intéresse nous pouvons te donner son adresse et contact. 800 RM / mois(170 euros environ) très classe, enorme piscine et tout confort.
La Malaisie est + chère que la Thailande mais très abordable, nous prenons des taxis tous les jours car + pratique que le bus pour 1 à 2 euros la course. Tu peux manger dans les restos Indiens ou Chinois (nous on adore) pour un euros voire deux maxi.
L'ambiance est cependant assez froide, c'est une très grande ville et c'est business business. Cela dit toutes les nationalités Malais, Chinois, Indiens cohabitent merveilleusement bien et sont fort sympathiques.

Vivre correctement ! Voilà ce qu'il faudrait préciser.
Vivre comme les Malaisiens comme les Européens, comment ?
Pour un appart confortable aux normes européennes, dans un condo, compter à partir de 1300 Rm.
Mais il y a beaucoup moins cher et aussi beaucoup plus !!
Sinon la vie est assez peu chère à KL, en gros tu peux diviser les prix par 4, sauf en ce qui concerne les produits importés qui sont à peu près au même niveau de prix que chez nous (- 15 à 20%).

J'ai déjà vécu à l'étranger et j'aime partager la vie locale, je n'ai pas envie de m'installer dans un quartier européen ou luxieux, les petites choses simples de la vie me conviennent largement. Donc je serai à la recherche d'un ptit logement simple et propre et pas cher... Apparement cela parait possible. Quels quartiers sont intéressants de ce point de vue? merci d'avance.

Ces quartiers sont déjà un peu excentrés
De toutes façons, plus tu t'éloignes du centre et aussi des quartiers excentrés chiques comme Bangsar ou Damansara moins c'est cher.
Je ne connais pas tout loin de là.
Même près du centre ville il y a aussi des quartiers Kampung (village) mais là je ne sais pas trop comment on réussit à s'y loger.
Il faut savoir que la classe moyenne locale s'installe de préférence dans des condos, d'où la frénésie de construction. C'est à un point tel que je me demande comment tous ces apparts de bon standing pourront trouver preneurs. Ca fera peut-être baisser les prix.
Kl est une ville qui s'étend sur une surface énorme et est composée d'entités avec tours et condos et centre commerciaux restau...tout ça parsemé de Kampungs même près du centre. Tu imagines en plus que tous ces quartiers sont reliés entr eeux par des axes autoroutiers ou elevated Highways avec un fléchage parfois approximatif. Tout le monde se perd même les locaux.
L'autre jour j'ai mis plus d'une heure pour rentrer à la maison parce que j'avais raté un embranchement et que je me suis finalement retrouvé je ne sais où. D'ailleurs je ne sais toujours pas où tellement l'entrecroisement de tous ces axes dépasse l'entendement.
Malgré tout tout le monde trouve que KL est une ville sympa à vivre, contrastée et où tu trouves tout.
perso par exemple je trouve que c'est plus sympa à vivre que Bangkok qui est trop polluée et où les temps de déplacement sont insensés. Même si cette ville à aussi d'autre charmes.
bonjour Michel, voila des informations forts pragmatiques, un vrai carnet de voyage. j'avoue que ca m'est utile vu qu'en général je ne séjourne pas trop longtemps dans les grandes villes. Apparement, ca risque d'être sympa d'apprendre à circuler... Concernat les quartiers d'habitations ca ne me fixe pas trop mais bon, tant que je n'y suis pas c'est dur de percevoir l'espace exactement

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
