J'envisage de parcourir le MAROC sur une bonne vieille 1100 GS(140 000 km) en solo, en avril ou mai 2012.
Je ne connais absolument pas le MAROC et j'aime bivouaquer en des lieux isolés, loin de l'agitation et de l'effervéscence du monde.
Pourriez vous me conseiller quelques itinéraires sachant que je peux disposer d'un minimum de 15 jours. J'ai pour seule restriction mon budget. Aussi je vie à l'économie et tout en bivouac.
Pourriez vous me donner une idée du coût d'un séjour comme je l'envisage sachant que je vais descendre toute l'Espagne pour faire ma traversée au moins cher au fin fond de l'Espagne ?

Il y a beaucoup de paramètres à prendre en compte, comme par exemple le nombre de kilomètres à parcourir et donc la consommation d'essence qui d'après ce que vous dîtes sera votre premier poste de dépenses. Après, regarder pour les assurances.
Pour la nourriture, vous n'en aurez pas pour cher, surtout si vous restez hors des villes. Prévoir entre 7 et 15 euros par jour maximum.
Votre périple à l'air sympa, vous nous montrerez des photos ?
Bonjour , Le top les bivouacs, loin des villes, nous en avons fait des sympas, en 4 ans,
jette un oeil sur notre blog "randobecane " ça peut te donner des plans.
A proximité des villages ou des habitations c'est préférable de demander
l'autorisation au proche voisin, pour nous c'était toujours ok pour planter la "guitoun".
La vallée d'aït Mansour, entre Tagounite et Foum-Zguid, vers Timkiet, Aït Bougmez ....
en plus ce sont des itinéraires superbes . Si tu manges dans les petits "canoun"
au bord des routes c'est vraiment pas cher et souvent bon , de préférence plats cuits ...
Il y a des campings bon marché rustiques un peu partout , Dadés , Todra, Sarhro,
Merzougga...Il faut oser aussi chez l'habitant ça marche ... On trouve partout des auberges
correctes à prix très bas(quand il pleut ?) ...Il y en a pour tout les gouts. Voyageusement .

Un itinéraire de type 50 % route / 50 % piste me conviendrait en sachant que je pratique l'enduro (mais sur une 400 husaberg) et qu'une GS chargée pèse près de 300 kg ...
Peut on trouvé de l'eau potable et du carburant partout en off road ?

Bonjour, un exemple de parcours type.De Tanger , Chefchaouen, Azrou, Aïn-leuh, Itizer , Midelt ou Boumia, Agoudal
imilchil, Todra ou Daddes(route ou piste) tout dépend si tu veux aller vers Merzougga ou vers le Drâa ,
Boulmane du Daddes Nekob par le Tizi n'Tazazert (piste). Tu peux remonté par Aît Benhaddou Telouet
Puis soit Marrakech ? soit Demnate , la vallée d'aît Bougmez(piste) là tu devrais en avoir plein les garde-boue.
Et tu remontes au plus direct par Fes ou par l'océan pour pas faire deux fois la même route quoique.
C'est fonction du temps dont tu disposes.
- On trouve du carburant pratiquement partout , si il n'y a pas de station la boutique du coin peut en fournir.
(il vaut mieux anticiper selon les étapes). Le prix nettement moins cher qu'en France mais depuis avril 2011 je sais pas .
- L'eau potable toutes les boutiques ont de l'eau en bouteille même dans les plus petits villages (si non les cachets de chlore restent utiles ... )
J'ai plus les prix des campings mais c'est souvent dérisoire et ça peut se négocier avec la demi pension.
Eviter les zones trop touristiques c'est pas toujours simple. Pour nous c'est surtout les grandes villes ou
nous passons vite ? (attention au radar sur les grands axes et à l'entrée des agglomération) Des sites comme
Aït Benhaddou qui est à voir! Mais il y à foule il faut jeter un coup d'oeil et fuir les arnaqueurs ?
(Prudence au traversée des villages les petits gamins sont complétement inconscients pour réclamer des stylos ou des
bonbons ou de la monnaie...) A ta disposition pour plus de détail .Voyageusement.
regarde quand même sur le site GNV le prix d'une traversée Barcelone Tanger, à certaines dates la moto est à 1€ et le fauteuil pas trop cher, or tu économises beaucoup d'essence et traverser l'Espagne c'est galère !

, c'est pas le but 🙁... A voir sur piste consommation de carburant s'élève
sensiblement il faut en tenir compte ...😕 150 kms /J moyenne c'est ce que nous avons
fait avec 2 ou 3 journées sans rouler ils en faut ... le maxi 400 kms en un jour pour nous.
Mais avec vos grosses machines ça doit le faire facile 😎, bien que la conduite n'a rien à
voir avec celle que l'on connait (il faut quelques jours pour s'y faire) même sur les axes
moyens on est toujours surpris , trous , plus de goudron , graviers , pavés, animaux,
oued en crus, alternent avec des parties très bonnes ... et ne parlons pas du trafic 🤪.
Un tajine bien chaud dans une gargote c'est pas forcément plus cher qu'une boite de
sardine et une vache qui rigole sous la guitoune et c'est meilleur.😉cordialement .

pour 3 semaines au Maroc, j'ai dépensé 300 €, camping sauvage, chez l'habitant, hotel marocain ( très sympa ) tu vas voir les chambres avant.... et avec eau chaude.
dans le sud il y a beaucoup de camping et souvent ils ont des chambres pas plus cher que l'emplacement !!!!
le top, c est planter la tente en pleine nature et faire un feu, bon on était 2.....
pour manger !!! le midi si tu passes dans un village, la fumée et l'odeur ... il y a plein de petits grailloux comme je les appelle !!! muumm c'est très bon.
le seul conseil (jamais malade) de boire un coca tous les jours et btle d'eau bien sur.
pour manger sur le pouce tu as des petites épiceries partout.
c'est un très beau pays, et les gens très sympa.

perso, j'ai fait le Maroc en octobre/novembre comme ça sans préparation, on regardait le soir sur la carte et on faisait notre chemin et en avril avec un organisme, bon c'était bien, mais pas de liberté !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
les lumières d' octobre sont fanstastiques sur l' Atlas, il fait nuit de bonne heure, mais c'est grandiose.
Fait la piste de la Cathédrale, tu l'a prend à Azilal, elle est cool, il y a un gite chez Ahmed Oddohr douar AMEZRAI, super accueil, c'est très très simple propre et tu as même la douche chaude.....très rustique lol et une vue !!!!!!!!!!! extraordinaire.

nous avons fait une peu de bivouac, un peu de camping, et une nuit en chambre (obligé par un orage d'un autre monde!)

en parcourant les posts de ce topic j'ai lu plusieurs mises en garde contre l'état des routes au Maroc et le mode de conduite des marocains;
j'ai parcouru 4.000 kms en moto au Maroc en janvier 2011: Algésiras-Meknes-Errachidia-Rizzani-Agdz-Tata-Tiznit-Sidi Ifni-Marrakech-Ouarzazate-Tinerir-Midelt-Chefchaouen-Ceuta puis Espagne
J'ai été très agréablement surpris par l'excellent état des routes, la qualité de la signalisation routière, et également par la bonne conduite des marocains (même des grands taxis qui ont pourtant mauvaise réputation); il faut dire que la police est omniprésente sur les grands axes;
alors, certes il faut être prudent, comme partout, mais pas de paranoïa excessive; à côté du Cambodge que j'ai parcouru en moto il y a 3 ans, la conduite au Maroc c'est très cool;
un petit conseil: par expérience plutôt faire le plein dans les grandes stations service à la sortie des villes: mon flat-twin a peu apprécié le carburant de certaines petites stations (mais rien de grave toutefois)
enfin je vous rejoins tous sur le fait que, si le Maroc est superbe, le Maroc en moto c'est exceptionnel, et j'y retournerai
J'ai lu votre conversation, je n'ai jamais été au Maroc mais j'ai voyager dans mon coin, je trouve réaliste que tu puisse faire le voyage en un mois, si tu prend tes 1000 euro et tu divise par 30 jours et bien tu arrive à 33 euro par jour.

Si tu sait la consommation de ta moto!! il est facile de savoir le coût de la nourriture la bas!! donc ton budget est facile à faire.
Par jour tu sait que tu a 33 euro, donc tu tourne pour 30 euro pour te laisser une marge de manœuvre et quand les euro sont passé tu lève la tente et tu attend le lendemain facile n'est ce pas!!
Et avec les 3 euro que tu va cumuler à tout les jours il va te sécuriser au cas ou??
J'ai déjà roulé comme ça et te casse pas la tête ces comme l'amour c'est la première fois la + stressante et ensuite tu prend le goût de faire tes autres voyages comme ça et ce qui te permettra d'en faire plus.

I just realized I’ve been registered on VoyageForum since... March 28, 2012 😊. Yet, I’ve barely participated until now.
August 1, 2026, will mark a somewhat special milestone: 5 years on the road.
We left Switzerland on August 1, 2021 with a simple idea: let chance decide our direction. We placed a bottle of wine on a world map, spun it... and it chose our first destination.
A year later, when we arrived in Morocco, we faced a new choice: continue toward Africa or head to Asia. This time, a tarot card game made the decision. Since then, we’ve tried to keep this journey as open to the unexpected as possible.
Today, that adds up to about 120,000 km, 46 countries, and over 1,800 days on the road—mostly by motorcycle, but also by sailboat, train, bus, hitchhiking, or on foot when adventure calls.
Our guiding thread isn’t just the motorcycle, but service exchanges. Instead of simply passing through countries, we try to stop regularly to lend a hand to the people we meet. So far, that’s about 600 days of volunteering.
Over the years, we’ve:
renovated a house in Croatia
made earth bricks in the Moroccan desert
helped sail a boat through the Greek islands
looked after houses, dogs, horses, a camel... and lots of other animals
worked at a street art festival in Morocco
created videos for local associations and projects
worked the grape harvest on the Tibetan plateau
been accredited as "media" for the World Nomad Games in Central Asia
Some of the moments that have stuck with us the most include six months in China, a night spent on the Great Wall, the Pamir Highway, the Silk Road, three months in Taiwan, and the incredible encounters in the mountains of Central Asia.
We travel on Falkor, our lucky dragon—a 2014 BMW F800GS that’s been with us since the start and is starting to have some great stories of its own.
While we share our adventure on Instagram, Polarsteps, and YouTube, that’s not why we’re here. The forum’s rules about promotion are clear, and I totally get them. I’m planning a motorcycle road trip to Armenia and Georgia in September 2026 or May 2027. I’m looking for one or more riders (male or female) who’d like to explore these countries with me.
Along the way, we’ll visit Cappadocia, the capitals Yerevan, Tbilisi, Sofia, Skopje, and other cities—we can finalize the route and roadbook later.
This trip requires experience with long motorcycle journeys, as we’ll cover around 7,000 km over 5 or 6 weeks (or more, depending on sightseeing and time spent).
I don’t expect dozens of applicants, since motorcycle riders are few and far between on this forum, but I’m putting this out there anyway.
I’m starting to think about a trip that’s really close to my heart: Algeria by motorcycle, specifically the southern part of the country. It’d be for January 2025, and I’ve got two main questions:
Is it possible for an individual on a motorcycle to travel freely, outside of any organized tour, or does the regulation require some kind of supervision in the Algerian Sahara region?
Is the Hoggar massif accessible by road or by (rideable) tracks?
Beyond the official recommendations, I’m really looking for your firsthand experiences.

Why not explore the Peloponnese!
I’m not particularly drawn to museums, ruins, or monuments.
I want to experience local life—small villages, seaside spots, beaches, and the interior if the landscapes are extraordinary.
Ideally, coming from Athens, I’d take a bus or train to get as close as possible to a starting point, then rent a scooter (125cc) to explore by taking secondary roads or even coastal paths. I’d stay in 2-3 places for a few days each to discover their surroundings.

What do you think would be the ideal itinerary?
From Athens, the best option would be to take either a flight or a bus to Kalamata. Rent a scooter and head either west or east. Is there a tertiary road (very lightly trafficked) or a path where I can ride slowly, take it easy, and enjoy the scenery without being bothered by traffic? I’d like to go all the way to Monemvasia, still hugging the coast. I need to find a way to avoid returning to Kalamata to drop off the scooter and catch a flight—maybe a small town where the train stops so I can head back to Athens.

I’ve got 15 days off in June and I’m pretty undecided about where to go for a motorcycle road trip. Two strong desires are pulling me in different directions: Corsica or Norway.
Corsica has been a dream of mine for a long time: legendary roads, stunning landscapes, a unique vibe, and the perfect mix of sea and mountains. At the same time, I’m wondering if 2 weeks might be *too much* for Corsica—risking feeling like I’ve seen it all too quickly, especially on a bike.
Since I also have an extra week free in May, I could use that specifically for Corsica. Maybe splitting it into two trips would make more sense? If so, which routes or regions would be the most interesting to plan for a 7-day trip?
On the other hand, Norway is *super* appealing. The landscapes look incredible, totally different from anything I’ve experienced, and it’d be a real “wow” trip. I know 15 days is still short for such a vast country. Getting all the way to the North Cape seems pretty much impossible in that time, but I’m curious about what realistic routes could be planned.
So I’m wondering:
Is it better to save Norway for next year, take 3 weeks off, and do it *properly*?
Or are 15 days enough for a first amazing taste of the country?
I’d love to hear about your experiences—whether it’s Corsica (ideal duration, routes) or Norway (what’s realistic in 2 weeks on a bike).

Hello! We’re planning a motorcycle trip that will include a visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau in June 2026.
We’re unsure (still debating) whether we should stay at a hotel on-site and get to the memorial with an Uber (leaving our bikes at the hotel) and book a guided tour, or base ourselves in Kraków and take a tour that includes transport.
One thing’s for sure—we’d prefer a guide in French since we don’t speak English 😅.

Unfortunately, I’m worried that parts of the N630 may have disappeared or merged with the A66 motorway, forcing us to ride long stretches of highway, which we’d rather avoid.

This is our first motorcycle trip in Morocco. I got my license two years ago with the dream of taking this kind of trip, and here we are! ✌️😍
In France, we usually ride between 300 to 400 km per day on roadsters. We’re not used to off-road tracks, so we’re looking for easy ones 😅—especially for me 😅.
