"in June, possibility, in July...quelque chose que j'ai oublie and in August, a must" bon allez j'ai oublie la petite phrase je vais la lui redemander. Mais je crois que si j'ai bien compris le mois d'aout est a eviter pour cause de tempete.
Quand je lis de ne pas y aller en décembre parce qu'il fait chaud, je me demande bien pourquoi ces gens partent pour Cuba...sinon pour laisser le froid derrière eux. Moi j'ai fait toute les saisons et je dirai qu'il n'y a pas seulement le temps de l'année qu'il faut regarder mais aussi l'endroit. Aussi petite l'île de Cuba soit-elle, le climat varie beaucoup entre l'est et l'Ouest toute comme la cote Nord ou la cote Sud. Mais de façon générale, il fait presque toujours beau. Si vous êtes du coté Nord de l'île, il y a toujours une brise de l'Atlantique qui vient vous rafraîchir si vous êtes à l'Ouest ( Holguin ), mais vous refroidir un peu plus si vous êtes à l'Est ( Havane / Varadero ). Cela vaut pour la température mais si on parle de meilleure saison pour visiter Cuba, je dirais que hors saison serait la meilleure. Meilleur prix pour les hotels, meilleur prix pour la location d'auto mais moins de choix quant aux destinations ( ex. pas de vol direct sur Santiago de avril à décembre ). Pour ce qui est des ouragans, miraculeusement Cuba est rarement touché. Pour les 5 dernières années où le sud des USA et le Mexique ont été bombardé d'ouragans, ces mêmes ouragans contournaient Cuba en laissant qu'en de rares occasions, de la pluie abondante. Rien de bien alarmant. Personnellement, nous avons une maison à Gibara, petit village cotier à 35 Km de Holguin, à 100 mètres de la mer et jamais non avons craint pour notre vie ou pour notre maison.
Donc pour en revenir à la question initiale, il faudrait préciser le but de votre visite à Cuba.

Moi je suis allée à Cuba en août. Pendant qu'il y avait un ouragan (DEAN) pas très loin. Très chaud (40 avec l'humidité tous les jours) et très humide, mais moi j'aime ce genre de conditions, alors c'était super! 🙂

Moi j'adore la chaleur...enfin disons pas plus de 35 degres. A mon travail on n'a pas la climatisation et au mois de juin tout le monde commence a souffrir sauf quelques chanceux qui ont attendu cette chaleur pendant 9 mois et je fais partie de ce groupe. J'aime beaucoup moins l'humidite mais bon souvent je dois prendre l'humidite avec la chaleur et le soleil.
C'est vrai quelle idee d'aller a Cuba en decembre si ce n'est pour la chaleur? Je crois qu'en decembre j'irais n'importe ou pourvu qu'il fasse chaud pour me faire oublier l'hiver (disons partout ou il y a securite). Mais je crois que les gens n'ont pas la meme tolerance pour la chaleur/le froid meme si on peut pas toujours choisir. Les etres humains que nous sommes sont tres exigeant: on veut le soleil sans trop grade chaleur et chaleur sans humidite. Moi la chaleur je trouve ca vivifiant mais bon pas trop quand meme-l'humidite je n'aime pas mais bon c'est ok.
Pour mes vacances a Cuba l'ideal serait chaud sec et plage turquoise au sable blanc. J'ai entendu dire que Coco Santa Maria est comme ca je veux dire avec une plage turquoise.

Oui le sable est tout blanc et la mer turquoise et limpide avec des beaux dégradés. C'est magnifique! 🙂

Je vois que vous habitez Cuba de façon régulière.
Nous aimerions passer 2 semaines de vacances là-bas et, en lisant les différents sites, l'on trouve un peu de tout concernant la saison idéale pour y aller.
Comme nous vivons dans un pays très pluvieux, nous aimerions, évidemment, éviter d'en rencontrer lors de nos vacances.
Je suis fan de chaleur, mais, mon épouse, un peu moins.
Chaud oui, mais pas trop pour elle (28 à 30 degrés lui suffisent)
Notre style de vie, trépidente à souhait et hyper stressée d'européen, étant ce qu'il est, nous aimons à avoir des vacances tranquilles, reposantes mais, s'il y a réellement "une" visite, le must du must, à faire, ok.
Nous n'irons pas visiter tous les jours, mais il serait dommage d'aller à Cuba sans rien en voir...

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

This year, 2026, I can only get away in April and May. I never travel during these months usually, and from what I know, they aren’t the best for India. But in such a big country, there are always spots that are better than others weather-wise.

Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊
