Non en août c'est encore et beaucoup l'été. L'automne officiellement ne débute que le 21 septembre, toutefois je dirais que l'automne commence vers le 15 septembre. Le début de septembre est encore chaud dans 75% des années donc si tu voir les couleurs d'automne, il est préférable de voyager après le 15 septembre.

Je ne crois pas vraiment que la meilleure saison pour visiter le Québec soit l'automne, à moins que ce soit votre saison préférée.
A ce temps-là de l'année, la majorité des sites touristiques et activités sont fermés, alors...
Pour moi, le mois de juin est un des plus beaux mois de l'année, moins de monde et pas trop chaud... La majorité des activités sont disponibles car l'ouverture est prévue pour la fête de Dollard ou des Patriotes, fin mai.

Septembre est un mois assez sympa aussi... fin septembre, les couleurs sont déjà somptueuses dans la région de Tadoussac... pour la région de Montréal il faut compter deux ou trois semaines de plus...
La meilleure saison pour visiter est celle qui permet de satisfaire ses principaux intérêts.
Si c'est le spectaculaire changement de couleurs des arbres qui vous intéresse le plus, le début d'automne est certainement le moment le plus saisissant (fin septembre, débordant sur le début d'octobre)
Si c'est la nature (paysages, exploration de parcs nationaux, randonnée) qui est votre priorité, juin et juillet sont les moments les plus propices, mais aussi les plus achalandés, toutes proportions gardées.
Si vous envisagez voir Montréal et Québec, et voir éventuellement ce qu'il y a à voir autour en louant une voiture pour visiter, alors je dirais que de la mi-juin (Festival international de jazz de Montréal à ne pas manquer -- voir http://www.montrealjazzfest.com/jal2007_2008/splash.aspx) à la mi-juillet (Festival d'été de Québec à ne pas manquer -- voir http://www.infofestival.com/Festival/fr-ca_section1.html, la programmation est habituellement mise à jour en mai -- débute début juillet, dure 10 jours) normalement, mais cette année jusqu'à la fin août en ce qui concerne Québec car il y aura beaucoup d'activités entourant la célébration du 400e anniverdaire de la ville. La meilleur saison pour visiter Quebec c'est en ete et de plus le 15 aout au Quebec c'est encore l'ete. Mais chez vous dans les iles de la Reunion c'est l'hiver en aout, juillet et juin. Moi je demeure a Montreal Quebec et j'aimerais visiter l'ile de la Reunion lors de l'hiver quebecois, c'est a dire en decembre, janvier ou fevrier. Parce-que cela me permet d'echapper au froid de l'hiver quebecois.

Si vous voulez visiter le Quebec en novembre, c'est mieux pas parce-qu'il y a eu de la neige et il a fait un peu froid. Mais je vous conseille de venir au Quebec au mois de mai parce-que c'est moins froid qu'en novembre. De plus je vous conseille de venir au Quebec en groupe parce-que cela vous permeterait d'aprendre d'avantage sur la belle province de Quebec. Mais pour ce qui est des voyages organises au Quebec de la France ou des Iles de la Reunion, cela se fait tres souvent en ete. De plus vous devez venir chez nous en groupe sur les ailes d'Air France de l'ile de la reunion au Quebec.

Le Québec étant très grand, le climat des saisons selon moi est très différent pour chaque région. Par exemple, fin juillet alors qu'à Montréal la température peut devenir suffocante, en Gaspésie la température est idéale pour les activités extérieures. Chaud mais avec une légère brise venant du fleuve.
L'hiver on dit que c'est l'endroit par exellence! Neige pure et en abondance et paysages spectaculaires. La saison se poursuivrait jusqu'à mi-avril...

We want to do a few safaris, visit villages, the mountains, see tea plantations, etc. But we also want to see turtles. We love snorkeling but aren’t experts—we’re just happy to see colorful fish and coral. We’ve always wanted to see turtles too, so the idea is still to see *something* underwater 😊

I’m tempted to spend the Christmas holidays in Shanghai and the surrounding areas (Nanjing, Suzhou) with my family—kids are 11 and 2. It’d be a bummer if the little one catches a cold over there.

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka: Negombo – 1 night Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights Kandy – 2 nights Ella – 3 nights Tangalle – 6 nights Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

I’ve looked into a few different options: Brazil, Cambodia, and Ecuador. The last one really appeals to me, but what’s making me hesitate is the risk of our trip being a bit too rainy (literally ),
We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Not sure if guidebooks, agencies, and other tour operators are keeping up by changing their visiting hours and offerings.
Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊
