On dit que les quatre saisons n'existent pas à Cuba, mais deux, celle des pluies et celle de la sécheresse. En effet, les pluies commencent en mai. Iy y a des orages souvent l'après midi. Pourtant, cette année on envisage moins de pluies. Je suis allée à Varadero en mai dernier et il faisait tous les jours très chaud !! Il pleuvait presque tous les jours en fin d'après-midi ou en soirée mais ca ne durait pas plus de 30 mins et le soleil revenait aussitôt donc c'était très agréable, pas besoin de veste le soir et dans le jour, j'avais peine à supporte mon bikini !! Il devait faire un bon 32 degré celcius à chaque jour... parfois +

- du 8 au 23 Mai le climat est bon pour aller à CUBA si je comprends votre reponse?
- j'y vais probablement seule. c'est dangeureux?
- existe il un endroit à l'aeroport où je peux déposer/confier mon passport; car je souhaite faire le tour de l'ile / et on m'a dit que les vols de passports est frequent.

Oui en effet c'est un bon temps pour visiter Cuba, tu vas en avoir pour ton argent !! Pour les passeports, je ne sais pas si tu peux les laisser à l'aéroport mais je te conseil de les amener avec toi... c'est plius sécuritaire et il n'y a pas plus de vol à Cuba que ici, il s'agit simplement d'être prudent...!!

Pour le climat pas de soucis. J'ai fait tout le moi de mai l'année dernière et très peu de pluie. D'ailleur j'y retourne dans 3 semaine pour 6 semaine 😛
Question sécurité tu n'as pas à t'en faire, ou alors c'est que tu n'auras vraiment pas eus de chance.
Sinon pour le passport si tu vas en casa tu n'auras pas le choix que de le garder car il le demande pour noter ton nom et le numero de passport dans chaque casa.

Hopes, tu devrais faire confiance aux familles des casas particulares parce qu'elles ne veulent pas avoir des problèmes avec les autorités 😇. En tout cas, ne le laissez pas sur la table à manger 😉.

mai est une tres bonne periode pour cuba moi je pars le 4 mai et reviens le18 c'est mon 15 sejour car maintenant j'ai des amis et nous sommes ma femme et moi parrain de la fille de notre ami a vinales il ne m'est jamais rien arrivé la bas bien sur il faut faire attention mais pas plus qu 'a paris le seul truc c'est que tu voyage seule et avec quel moyen de transport.a vinales si tu veux je peux t'indiquer une casa ainsi qu'a soroa si tu vas par la.pour ton passeport il faut l'avoir sur toi car il te sera demandé dans les casas et a l'hotel .ou penses tu aller si tu veux je peux te donner quelques endroits qu'il faut voir .

Nous arrivons à Varadero Dimanche 16/05 et je vois qu'à partir de Lundi 17/05 la météo prévoit beaucoup de pluies et d'orages !! cela est il vrai ?? Nous y sommes allés en Mai 2007, et, mis à part quelques gouttes, avons eu un temps radieux.
Pouvez vous me dire ce qu'il en est actuellement, et si je dois faire confiance aux sites météos que je visite ??

Nous devions partir à la mi-avril à Cuba cependant notre hôtel ( nouvel hôtel n'est pas prêt ). Du coup, nous devons changer mais plus de places dans d'autres hôtels de la même catégorie, du coup, nous allons devoir partir en mai. Est-ce encore une bonne période pour partir en mai à Cuba. Je m'y suis déjà rendue en juin et un seul jour de beau temps sur une semaine. Du coup, j'aimerais être "sûre" que ce ne sera pas tout le temps de la pluie ... Sinon le Mexique ? quel temps en mai ou la République ??? merci à vous

bonjour.le mois de mai reste un bon mois pour aller a cuba nous avons fait plusieurs periodes de l'année dans nos different voyage et depuis plusieurs années nous y allons en mai et cette année encore du 6 au 20.les jours sont longs il fait chaud et tres peu de pluie voir pas du tout.donc pas de soucis. joel

Un tout grand merci pour tes infos ça md rassure pcq j'avais vrmt très peur. C'est justement vers ces dates là qu'on partirai ... Comme, j'ai eu une très mauvaise expérience en juin, j'avais peur que ce soit pareil. As-tu déjà été en juin ? Moi, j'avais été terriblement déçue que ne pouvoir aller ds l'eau qu'une fois en une semaine alors que les plages Sont magnifiques . On a eu ts les jrs sauf un jour de la pluie mais tte la journée et gris. Il faisait mourant de chaud mais la pluie pffff.
Si d'autres ont des infos à me donner , n'hésitez pas ...

je suis allé 2 fois en juin la 1ere en 2001 pas de pluie en une semaine et en2004 la on a eu 2 a 3 orages en fin de journée sur vinales.je suppose que tu vas a varradero.moi ce qui m'inquieterai plus que la meteo est de savoir si l'hotel sera en etat de marche.

Nous sommes allés à Varadero en mai 2010 et avons eu un temps magnifique ... pas une seule goutte de pluie, un peu de vent mais vu la température on ne s'en plaignait pas du tout... que du bonheur! c'était notre 2è voyage à Cuba en Mai... !
peut être avons nous eu de la chance, 2 fois ?? mais , de toute façon, quoique réserve la météo, il y fera certainement plus beau et plus chaud qu'en Belgique ou que dans le Nord de la France d'où je vous écris . 😉

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka: Negombo – 1 night Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights Kandy – 2 nights Ella – 3 nights Tangalle – 6 nights Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

I’ve looked into a few different options: Brazil, Cambodia, and Ecuador. The last one really appeals to me, but what’s making me hesitate is the risk of our trip being a bit too rainy (literally ),
We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
