Short stay in Mauritania (one week), then back to Morocco (Dakhla) for a few days before heading to Agadir and flying back to Brussels. Looking for great spots and sights to visit, as well as nice, moderately priced accommodation. What do you recommend? Thanks in advance

In Nouakchott, I recommend the camel market (a bit outside the city), the African market in the 5th district, and in the evening, the spectacular fishing port with the return of the pirogues.

Otherwise, head to Atar (Inimi Camp, which rents two basic rooms). You can arrange a mini 4x4 tour with them to visit Chinguetti, Ouadane, and Terjit. Some great sights in a short time! They have a website: Inimitours

Hi Fangui, Your itinerary is really inspiring! For Mauritania, I agree with the idea of Atar and its surroundings—it’s a great gateway to the Adrar region. Chinguetti and Terjit are must-sees if you want a mix of desert, heritage, and oases in a short time. For the return to Dakhla, you could stop at PK25 or Lassarga: relaxed vibe, stunning beaches. I did a very similar route a few months ago, between Atar, Chinguetti, and a quick loop to Terjit. I took notes during my trip and eventually compiled them on my blog ["https://graphislam.com/"] with some great tips for accommodation and transport.

Have a great trip!

Hi, Your one-week stay in Mauritania... where exactly? Are you flying there? Which city? How are you traveling between Mauritania and Dakhla? By plane? Public transport? Which city or cities are you looking for info about?
