Hi everyone, just wanted to say how happy I am to be back on this forum—it really helped me out on my previous trips. I’ve missed it these past few years, so thanks for bringing it back to life!
Long live Voyage Forum!
We’re boarding the MSC World Europa next month. I’d love to hear any tips or see photos from anyone who’s already been on this ship. We’ll be in cabin 14135 if anyone’s been in the same one.
Thanks in advance!
Seb

Good evening,
I share your joy in being back on the Forum, and I’d like to thank the Quebec administrators for allowing us to connect again with fellow cruise lovers.
Last year, we booked a cruise on the World Europa, balcony cabin.
When we received the documents, we realized we’d been upgraded to Yacht Club—what luck!
The Yacht Club is like a small ship within the big one: its own dining room, lounges, terraces, pool…
The World Europa is a beautiful ship with plenty of activities and two theaters.
I hope you get upgraded too—it’s an amazing experience.
Best regards,
Jibé

Good evening and thanks for your feedback. You were indeed lucky to get upgraded to YC. Personally, I don’t want to go for YC because all the cabins are at the front of the ship, and I prefer the middle or even the back. They should make a whole deck YC.
We’ve chosen a balcony cabin in the middle on deck 14.
Hope we’ll like this ship.
Best regards,
Seb

Hello everyone, and a huge thank you to those who made it possible to reactivate this forum—we missed it so much and it’s been so helpful!
We’re also setting off next month for a new cruise on the MSC World Europa. It seems like a wonderful ship. We’ve booked a balcony cabin on the sea side, midship on deck 12.
We know the itinerary—it’s a classic Mediterranean route—but we really want to explore the ship. Thanks to anyone who’s already been on it for sharing your tips.
Have a great day, everyone.

La vie est bien trop courte pour ne pas la vivre à fond!
Hi,
we went on a Mediterranean cruise with it in May in YC.
It's quite large and noisy, which is why we appreciated the tranquility of the YC.
But we're not exactly spring chickens anymore.
You need to book the shows, unless you're in YC. Just show your watch pass.
They're a bit short for my taste (half an hour), but dynamic and very well done.
There are different themed bars, like one specializing in gin. A pub that serves three types of beer brewed by MSC. The huge kegs are visible from the bar. Others where you can dance. Lots of evening entertainment with different groups taking turns.
At the end of the evening, we liked going all the way to the back of the ship for a final drink in a lounge that, in addition to the view, allows smoking and even sells cigars.
There are two dress-code evenings: a white party and a captain's evening where you dress up.
We didn’t try dining outside YC, but there’s always a brasserie open almost all the time.
There are plenty of pools with impressive slides.
The SPA is gorgeous (included in YC). You absolutely must try the snow cabin for its uniqueness.
Typo!
I meant the SPA (Sanitas Per Aquam).
It’s pretty big.
There’s a large hot tub, several hammams and saunas.
Hot and cold showers.
Of course, massage options too.
Unfortunately, this video doesn’t show the snow cabin.
Just to clarify, what you might think is a pool is actually a huge jacuzzi with water falling from the ceiling.
I’m also happy to be back on this forum.
We were on the MSC World Europa in April 2024, and even though the ship was full, we didn’t feel crowded.
We really enjoyed the promenade with the light shows every night at 10 PM.
There are 2 buffets on 2 floors, so we always found space for breakfast or lunch.
You have to book the shows pretty quickly—we did it using the "totems" located all over the ship.
We had an "infinity" ocean-view cabin on deck 10, and the perk was a window you could open halfway. The cabin was very spacious, about 20 m². We noticed there were cabins with balconies facing the promenade, but we thought they lacked privacy since you could see the opposite balconies, and some people complained about noise all day because they overlooked the promenade.
Great cruise! Mum49
Hi Seb and hello everyone!
So happy to reconnect to continue our exchanges and share all sorts of tips and info about our various trips—and to live some adventures vicariously through others…!
We’re boarding this Saturday, November 16th, in Marseille on the World Europa, in a sea-view balcony cabin on deck 14. It’s our first time on such a huge ship… Thanks to Mumm 49 for sharing their experience—it really put my mind at ease about the ship’s size and the atmosphere with so many passengers. I’ll definitely share our impressions once we’re back.
See you soon!
Hi everyone,
Just a quick recap of our cruise on the World Europa—we boarded in Marseille on November 2nd. Boarding was efficient and quick, unlike our previous cruises. Maybe people are respecting the given schedules now 😄. The ship is out of the ordinary, but it’s not my favorite. For me, it lacks intimate bars with different vibes where you can chat without too much noise and where you can order with the prepaid package. The only one that fits this profile is the karaoke bar, but it’s sometimes privatized. The only other option is the panorama lounge outside of showtimes.
The Spa was great—we enjoyed a free hour with the Gold card. We did it on a sea day, and honestly, it was really nice. If the cruise hadn’t been so far along, I might’ve been tempted by a pass. We didn’t go to the buffet except on embarkation day. We had breakfast in our room and at the restaurant for lunch. We were either on excursions or at the restaurant, so we avoided the crowds. For snacks after excursions, the pizzeria was great with plenty of choices beyond just pizza.
As for excursions, we booked three. The first one was flawless—no complaints. For the second, MSC informed us it wouldn’t be in French due to lack of participants but would be in English. We had the choice to cancel with a refund or go ahead with a 10% refund, which we chose. The third would’ve been great if not for an accident that delayed us before departure, cutting an hour from our visit. After sending a satisfaction email on the ship the same day mentioning our disappointment—and even though it wasn’t their fault—MSC gave us a 10% discount on that excursion. Thanks to MSC for being so responsive to customer feedback, unlike another company I won’t name (no ads for them, but those who know it will recognize it 😉). That said, if they’ve had a problem, because if everything goes well, you can’t really judge 😆.
For food, the evening restaurant was always good and filling. My only complaint is that the menus stay pretty much the same across all Mediterranean cruises—a little variety would be nice.
That’s my take on this cruise, and the cruise bug is still very much alive for me—can’t wait for the next one! 😄

Hi Anke,
Just a heads-up on this ship—there are three dinner services: the first at 5:30 PM,
the second at 7:30 PM, and the third at 9:15 PM.
Wishing you a wonderful cruise!
Seb

A huge thank you for your reply.
Right now, we’re signed up for late seating, and our kids and grandkids are in early seating.
We’ll sort it all out on board ;)

Good evening,
We were there with our kids and grandkids too.
We had the second seating.
To stay together, we connected our cabins via the MSC website.
You’re going to have a wonderful family vacation week—we have great memories of ours.
Wishing you a fantastic cruise and have a great weekend! Seb
