Je me présente, j'ai 25 ans et je commence à déprimer en France car je ne trouve pas de boulot. J'ai un master 2 en administration des affaires étrangères pourtant mais ça ne suffit pas en temps de crise ici on dirait.
Bref j'ai envie de partir à Montréal. Je comptais sur le PVT mais il n'en reste plus, par contre je vois qu'il reste encoredes visas "emploi de perfectionnement". Je pense être éligible pour ce visa (J'ai été diplomé en 2007 et je suis actuellement en stage). La condition principale est d'avoir une preuve qu'une entreprise sur place est prête à m'engager ce qui m'amène à ma question: Puis-je aller à Montréal en tant que touriste puis démarcher des entreprises et ensuite si tout marche bien, essayer d'avoir ce visa?

Coïncidence! j'ai 24 ans, un master en management public, avec pour ambition initiale d'obtenir le concours de secrétaire de chancellerie! pas gagné tu me diras! ; idem je rame depuis plusieurs mois à faire des petits boulots ce qui ne me m'enchante pas plus que ça!
J'ai eu la chance de faire deux longs séjours à l'étranger, le dernier il y a un peu plus d'un an et aujourd'hui je ne tiens plus en place: il me faut du dépaysement et de l'aventure!
Le canada est une opportunité pas mal niveau boulot mais c'est vrai que pour prospecter, ça n'est pas si simple! ma sœur est partie bosser là bas deux ans et d'après elle, il est risqué de prendre un visa touristique pour le transformer ensuite en visa de travail sachant que tu as pas mal de condition à remplir et que ce n'est pas automatique. Le mieux est de trouver un emploi avant ton départ (je sais, facile à dire!). Je te conseille le site www.emploiquebec.net, je connais plusieurs personnes qui ont trouvé par ce biais, sinon www.emploitoronto.com et le site du ministère de l'immigration de quebec mais tu dois connaitre!
De mon côté je dois mettre un peu d'argent de côté avant de me lancer, du coup je ne me suis pas encore vraiment renseigné!

Ce programme est pour avoir le droit de faire un stage...pour faire un stage il te faut un permis de travail (ou un visa si tu préfères). Je ne sais pas si tu es admissible, c'est pourquoi tu dois te référé au site de l'ambassade.
Oui en effet c'est marrant, on est un peu dans la même situation! Moi je suis parti 1 an et demi en Chine pour mes études et depuis que je suis en France, je galère en faisant des petits boulots! Et le fait de partir fait que quand je suis en France, je m'ennuie et j'ai donc envie et besoin de dépaysement!
J'ai pensé au Canada car c'est une économie qui se porte bien par rapport au reste du monde et les gens sont d'après ce que j'ai pu entrendre dire, chaleureux et gentils ce qui est un luxe de nos jours non?

Et justement, toi étant Canadienne, penses-tu que c'est une bonne idée de se rendre sur place et prospecter ou est-ce mieux de rester en France? Et comptes tenu de la situation économique mondiale actuelle, d'après toi y'a t-il de la place pour des jeunes diplômés français bac +5 en commerce international? J'ai peu d'expérience professionnelle, mais je suis motivé et je parle plusieurs langues (anglais, espagnol, français, mandarin et cantonais).
Bien comme tu t'en doutes c'est une période plus difficile pour tout le monde.
Il y a aussi de la compétition avec les autres étudiants canadiens.
Mais je ne pense pas que ça soit impossible! Je ne peux pas te dire cependant le marché concernant le commerce international, j'ai pas trop de données là-dessus. Prospecter sur place sur un stage ou à distance, les 2 méthodes sont bonnes, mais je commencerais d'abord de prospecter à distance pour contacter les entreprises potentielles. Éventuellement leur dire que tu es disponible entre telle date et telle date pour les rencontrer (s'ils veulent te rencontrer).
Aussi, peut-être élargir un peu, pourquoi se limiter juste à Montréal. Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Halifax, il y a d'autres endroits!

Depuis cette année, il est désormais possible de demander l'emploi de perfectionnement en étant à l'étranger. Jusqu'à 2007, le stage de perfectionnement pouvez s'obtenir dans la journée en se rendant directement à l'ambassade du Canada à Paris mais pour cette année la demande ne peut se faire uniquement par courrier.
Le mieux étant de demander à l'ambassade, mais en tout cas ça a effectivement changé!

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
