Moi, perso, je deconseille la moustiquaire.
Ca prend de la place et c'est hyper galere a accrocher/décrocher surtout s'il faut le faire tous les jours.
Je suis un partisan inconditionnel de la moustiquaire car elle offre la sérénité de savoir qu'on ne va pas se faire piquer par un moustique. D'autant plus que comme je mets des bouchons dans mes oreilles à cause du boucan qui règne pratiquement partout en Inde et ailleurs je n'entends pas le bzzzzz du moustique quand il s'approche
Bref je ne voyage plus qu'avec une moustiquaire de type "parapluie" c'est à dire à un point d'attache. Modèle 2 personnes, vaut mieux que ce soit trop grand que pas assez 🤪 Le modèle à 4 points d'attaches nécessite comme son nom l'indique 4 endroits dans la chambre pour tirer 4 ficelles ce qui est bien plus compliqué. J'avais commencé avec ce type-là mais je l'ai vite abandonné.
Afin que le centre de la moustiquaire soit bien au dessus du lit pour que celle-ci se développe tout autour je tire une ficelle le plus haut possible (attention au ventilateur de plafond) d'un bout à l'autre de la chambre. Soit dans l'alignement du lit soit perpendiculairement au lit suivant les possibilités.
J'attache la ficelle à n'importe quoi et si il n'y a pas de point d'accroche je fixe dans le mur ou dans les boiseries des vis-crochet que j'emporte avec moi. J'ai même une petite vrille - à mettre dans les bagages en soute car sinon confisquée au contrôle des aéroports 😕 - pour amorcer le trou permettant de visser le crochet.
C'est pas trop compliqué. Sauf dans les hôtels un peu chic avec des murs tout nu et en plâtre mais il y a souvent un cadre ou deux que l'on décroche et le crochet derrière le cadre fait l'affaire. Dans les hôtels bas de gamme pas de problème c'est plein de trucs et de bazards où on peut attacher la ficelle.

Ca dépend aussi de là où tu pars en Inde... Si c'est au Rajasthan c'est même pas la peine d'envisager la moustiquaire, il fait tellement chaud qu'il n'y a pas de moustiques ! (idem à Delhi ae la pollution...)
Sinon dans des villes comme Varanasi c'est indispensable... je me rappelle de m'être réveillé le matin ae des dizaines de bestioles sur la moustiquaire...
Perso j'ai une moutiquaire pyramide 2 places, comme le disaient les précédents messages on trouve toujours un endroit pour les accrocher ! :)

Je vais partir mi-aout en Inde et Népal pour ne pas faire de jaloux😉 je vais prendre les 3 solutions mais j'ai une question pour chaque(pas trouvé de réponse sur le forum):
- Odomos à priori une solution que beaucoup propose mais peut-on s'en mettre sur le visage?
- Moustiquaire avec toutes les différentes formes, type de maillage, imprégné ou non quel serait l'idéal s'il y en a un?
- mosquitoe coils en trouve-t-on d'efficace en Inde si oui lequel ou doit-on prendre le stock en partant?
my goodness que de problèmes ces miskitos... le kit "all in 1" de Ragamuffin me parait le plus audacieux 😊 il faut l'échelle avec, car souvent les plafonds sont très hauts, 12feets.
Tu peux aussi te tartiner la figure avec n'importe quelle crème sans te préoccuper de rien, c'est inoffensif.
Les coils et good knight mats sont bien, mais il faut dormir les fenêtres fermées, sinon ça ne sert à rien. Odeur trop forte à mon avis.
Le mieux c'est je le répète, la moustiquaire genre "Fitting a moskitonet made in Ragamuffin". Un peu de gymnastique ne fait du mal a personne, mais attention à ne pas tomber… 😛
Ah... j'oubliais de vous dire ce que je faisais moi contre les moskitos, je prends dans mes bagages une bombe aérosol de n'importe quelle marque, petite taille de préf. et c'est rapide, pas besoin de la vider pour éliminer tout ce qui bouge dans la chambre, même sur les lits il y a parfois des petites bêtes. On les trouve partout dans les pharmacies en Inde et ailleurs.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...
