J'ai des billets pour un voyage en Indonésie (Raja Ampat et Sulawesi) avec un départ début juillet et retour fin aout. Mes billets ont été pris au mois d'octobre 2019...
Est ce que certains sont dans le même cas? J'ai des billets Lufthansa pour Jakarta et ensuite des vols intérieurs pour Sorong et un retour de Manado avec Batik.
Normalement je prends un visa touriste 60 jours qui mets au moins 3 semaines à être fait.
J 'ai bien compris que le vol doit être annulé si on veut espérer au moins un avoir (je veux bien partir en 2021...).
Je n'arrive pas à avoir des infos sur l'Indonésie. Je viens de voir que la Thaïlande ré ouvre complétement son pays au tourisme. Je me demande ce qu'il en est pour l'Indo...

Paris-Singapour avec la Luft (toujours pas remboursé)

Lufthansa n'a remboursé personne en France à ce jour, juste des avoirs. Je suis aussi en attente depuis le 12 mars du remboursement de mes billets. Normalement l'accord des 9 milliards avec l'état Allemand est validé, on reverra notre argent en juin.

Il faut attendre les news du 15 juin sur les possibilités de sortir d'Europe, Lufthansa relance ses vols Européens le 15 juin. Les ministres européens doivent se concerter d'ici la.
Ce qui me tracasse c'est aussi l'édition de nos visas. C'est toujours un peu long donc du 15 juin au 9 août, on va stresser... Mais tu as raison, on ne peut rien savoir avant...
Aucun souci à vous faire pour les visas, vous pourrez les faire à l'arrivée à l'aéroport, Il le font pour 30 jours, 35 dollars renouvelable 30 jours dans les tous les bureaux d’immigrations d’Indonésie.
Oui je sais bien mais on aurait aimé éviter cette démarche... C'est plus confort d'avoir le visa 60 jours 😉

C'est agaçant, ce voyage on l'avait projeté depuis longtemps (on repoussait toujours les RA pour ne pas être déçu ensuite sur les destinations suivantes au niveau du snorkelling vu que cela est décrit comme le top absolu). On avait fini par se décider à y aller à cause de l'âge qui avance lentement mais sûrement.
Bref attendre...
Que ce soit coté visa qui est très facile à l'aéroport ou coté vol avec la Luf il faut attendre, il est encore possible que vous partiez le 3 juillet à ce stade.
Si c'est possible, FONCEZ.... la vie est trop courte et pleine d’imprevus pour se prendre la tête.😉

Bonjour je vous ai répondu sur un autre poste aussi je suis en indonesie et au vues des informations ci dessus vous êtes loin de connaître la situation concernant visa etc.
Actuellement l'ambassade ne délivre aucun visa touristique. Les visas à l'arrivé ont été supprimés et on ne sait pas si ils vont être rétabli.
Le gouvernement indonesien n'as toujours pas pris de décision sur la réouverture du tourisme local on parle du mois juin pour certaines destinations qui vont servir de test pour toute l'indonesie. Question tourisme international on parle plutôt de octobre pour la réouverture mais cela peut être avant ou après selon la situation. (Concernant côté français aucune frontières en dehors de l'Europe ouvertes à ce moment)
Les seuls visas pour entrer en indonesie autorisés actuellement sont ceux de famille et de business. Avec test obligatoire pour faire le visa et ainsi qu'a l'arrivé puis postif ou non un quatorzaine obligatoire à jakarta.

Oui, oubliez Raja Ampat pour un moment... La Papouasie occidentale est fermée aux touristes.
Moi, j'ai tout annulé ou, tout du moins, je suis dans les démarches pour le faire :
- Très facile pour mon vol Vancouver-Jakarta avec China Airlines (remboursement directement en ligne).
- Avec Air Asia, c'est un avoir valable 2 ans, mais ça va être long, car il y a énormément de demandes...
- Avec Nusatrip (Batik Air), c'est la grosse merde : avoir valable 1 an à compter de la date de réservation... autant dire que je ne reverrai pas mon argent ! 😠

Nous sommes un peu dans une situation similaire.
Nous sommes sensés partir le 3 août pour 3 semaines entre Bali, Florès, Komodo et Lombok.
Nous avions booké nos billets d'avion pour Bali en octobre 2019 avec Air China via le site Tix.
Dur de trouver des informations sur la situation sur place et les éventuelles prochaines annonces du gouvernement. Pour le moment, l'entrée sur le territoire semble totalement fermé aux étrangers sauf cas particuliers.
Je garde toujours espoir seulement nous arrivons au moment où nous allons devoir faire des vaccins et engager de nouveaux frais (200 euros pour 3 personnes apparemment) pour ce voyage que nous avons peu de chances de faire.
J'ai contacté Air China et AIr France (qui opère notre premier vol jusqu'à une escale à Amsterdam) qui nous ont renvoyé vers le voyagiste.
Et côté voyagiste, le site (anglais ? néerlandais ?) Tix a fermé sa hotline et annonce des délais de réponse de plusieurs semaines. Donc on attend toujours.
On s'inquiète bien sûr d'une quarantaine sur place et d'une activité culturelle réduite (à néant ?) mais franchement si on peut partir, on aimerait vraiment le faire car pour des raisons de garde de ma fille on ne pourra pas reporter et faire ce voyage l'été prochain.
Est-ce que certains parmi vous sauraient s'il y a des sites qui permettent de se tenir au courant des évolutions des restrictions de voyages dans le pays, du calendrier des annonces gouvernementales indonésiennes ?...

Il faut aller sur le site des ambassades ou consulats. On parle en Indonésie de début octobre sans garantie. Pourquoi avez vous besoin de vaccin? Normalement il n'y en a pas besoin. Éventuellement hépatite comme pour tout voyage mais à part ça rien d'obligatoire et cela dépend aussi beaucoup de comment vous voyagez.

En voyage j'achète tjrs une carte sim mais là j'ai pas envie de payer les communications de France vers l'Indo avec les agences et les compagnies (tapez 1, tapez 2, musique pdt 1/2 heure, etc) . Est ce que ça marche avec whatsapp? J'ai entendu parler mais je n'y connais rien.

De toute façon ne nous réjouissons pas trop vite : l'ouverture est conditionnée à la neutralisation de l'épidémie à Bali, et il me semble que le niveau de contamination dans certaines régions de l'archipel est reparti à la hausse .. pas évident de faire respecter le lockdown quand une bonne partie de la population dépend de petits boulots informels ou sans compensation de l'employeur .
Bali est une region presque autonome et l'article parle bien du gouverneur de bali qui est bien plus prudent dans ses propo que le president jokowi. Des le mois de juillet il est prevu de reouvrir les zones non concerne par les nombreux cas de covid comme en France il y a des zones vertes orange et rouges mais uniquement au tourisme locale. Attention si il y a des cas de covid en argumentation cela sera repoussé a plus tard. Pour l'instant c'est le cas avec une augmentation par jour de 1000 cas en indonesie
La reouverture du tourisme local par le gov depends plus d'une decision economique que d'une question de santé. C'est pour ca que le gouverneur de bali lui est plus mesure et ils ont finalement décider a la fin de la réunion d'hier de ne pas reouvrir bali au tourisme avant qu'il y ai des protocoles clair pour tester les gens venant d'autre region.
Pour le tourisme international il ont mentionné septembre sans garanties ce n'est pour l'instant qu'un plan et attention seulement pour certains pays qui sont l'australie, le japon la Chine et la Corée. De plus que dans certaines ville et donc pas l'ensemble de bali par exemple.
Donc au final on voit que le gouvernement et les gouverneurs des provinces ne s'entendent pas sur la réouverture que de plus il y a tout les jours de nouveau cas et que les dates de réouverture change Sans arrêt sans finalement aboutir à un accord clair. Voilà pour la situation en indonesie
Côté personnel on est plutôt perdu car au moment ou on reouvre les plages et certains commerces hotel etc on apprends qu'il y a eu une contamination massive au marché au poisson que plusieurs dizaine de marchand sont positifs. Que d'un autre côté il y a des occidentaux qui font des fêtes à 20-30 personnes dans des villas sans masque sans rien. Il y a des jours où on est vraiment en stress d'aller faire les courses ou d'aller dans un lieu très fréquenté.
Ca nous laisse du temps pour penser à la suite les projets pro etc.. quel visage bali va vouloir offrir par la suite es ce que ça va repartir comme avant av le tourisme de masse ou bien s'orienter vers un tourisme plus vertueux qui respecte l'environnement. De nombreux hotel de luxes proposent deja de très grosse réduction des a présent qui sont valable jusqu'en 2021 pour encourager les etrangers a réserver de nouveau. Peut être un bon plan pour vous si vous souhaitez venir l'année prochaine et vous faire plaisir.

I’d love to get some feedback on our itinerary—it’s probably pretty basic! This is our second trip to Asia and our first to Indonesia. We have three kids aged 20, 18, and 12. We land in Jakarta at 4 PM, spend 3 nights/2 days there, then take the train to Yogyakarta for 3 nights/2 days, followed by the train to Surabaya for 2 nights/1 day, then the train to Bromo for 1 day/1 night, a private driver to Ijen for 2 nights/2 days, then on to Bali (Ubud) for 4 nights/3 days, followed by Gili Air for 3 nights/2 days, Senggigi (Lombok) for 2 nights, and finally 5 nights in Kuta. I’m considering cutting the 2 nights in Senggigi to just keep Kuta and extend it to 7 nights. In Lombok, I’m not sure how to get around since I’m not comfortable with scooters... Your thoughts on all of this, and any advice, are more than welcome—don’t hesitate!
For those wondering why cities like Jakarta and Surabaya: we don’t often get the chance to visit big Asian cities, so we wanted to include that discovery in our trip. The trains between Jakarta and Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Probolinggo are booked. The return flight from Lombok to Jakarta is also set. Accommodations are booked but flexible (same for the trains).

The tourism setup there is so well-organized that it’s the most "comfortable" country for a short visit. Thailand feels too sanitized for my taste, and there’s too much religion, Buddha, and the King, but it’s still the best option given how my health has been evolving. I’d considered two weeks in ThaTon for hiking, but I got too sick from the burn-offs during my trips to the mountains around Chiang Rai. So I’m not sure where to go this year. Definitely not the sea, touristy spots, or the mountains with burn-offs...

In 1996, we crossed Vietnam from Saigon to Hanoi by motorbike—Minsk bikes we bought in Saigon. I haven’t been back since, and it seems like a lot has changed.
- We’re heading to the south (well, the north and center) with the family in July-August (3 people).
- Is the road network more developed now? Back then, there was only National Route 1 from south to north. I’m thinking of renting a car this time (no motorbike with the family—though in ’96, they had a Jawa sidecar for sale, and we hesitated… maybe it’s for the best).
- Is Halong Bay really something to avoid because of overtourism? Even back then, it was pretty crowded. Is there a less touristy alternative?
- We’ll be traveling from Hanoi down to Danang (the only city we didn’t stop in back in ’96). Even though it’s a bit overhyped in a Chinese-tourist kind of way (from what I’ve read), we’re only going for the beach—pure relaxation for 7 days. The beaches are stunning, and I know the South China Sea is warm like coffee.
- Then, we’ll visit Hoi An, where I stopped in ’96. It was already popular with backpackers back then, but no glowing boats or all the touristy fuss!
- After that, Hue, where I have great memories—it’s a beautiful city.
- And also the nature around Ninh Binh, followed by 2-3 days in Hanoi.
That’s the plan. I’d love to hear any tips to avoid mass tourism, and if anyone’s done this before:

Last year, we did Malaysia (KL and the mainland + around Kuching).
Day 1 – Arrive in Kota Kinabalu early, stroll around town and hit the must-sees.
Day 2 – Excursion to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, snorkeling at 3 islands.
Day 3 – Hike around Mount Kinabalu without summiting (450 per person, no way).
Day 4 – Poring Hot Springs + evening flight to Sandakan.
Day 5-6-7 – Kinabatangan River (still looking for the right guide).
Day 8 – Sepilok for the orangutans, the Sun Bear Centre, and Rainforest Discovery Centre.
Day 9 – Selingan, turtle island.
Day 10 – Head to Semporna.
Day 11-12-13-14 – Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai.
Day 15 – Bohey Dulang.
Day 16 to Day 25: I’M STUCK.
I looked into Danum Valley, but for 3 days/2 nights, they’re quoting 650 € per person—come on, that’s ridiculous.
I checked out a detour into Indonesia (still East Borneo), but I’m having trouble deciding what would be amazing.
I read about Sangalaki + Kakaban (2 islands, 1 base) / Mahakam Delta - Kutai (orangutans and river) / Sungai Boh (Dayak Kayan) – jungle & culture.
But honestly, I’m struggling to finalize this itinerary.
If we venture that way, we’d head back to KK from Balikpapan.
For a 4-month stay in Egypt, I had ENORMOUS problems. The regulations are very bureaucratic and extremely nitpicky there. For a 4-month stay in the Philippines, I was wondering if the procedures are just as complicated? I’m bringing my cell phone with an eSIM. Should I choose a plan from Canada for use in the Philippines, or should I get a plan only once I arrive? After 30 days, do I renew with the Canadian provider I chose before leaving, or do I switch to a local company? Do I need to register my phone with the authorities in the Philippines? (That was the case in Egypt.) For the 3rd and 4th months, will it be just as simple—renewing with a Canadian or local provider—or should I expect problems?

We like to decide things on the spot and go with the flow, without rushing everywhere. But I’m still a bit unsure: when heading down to the center (Hue), is it better to book the overnight trains in advance? We don’t want to take any flights while we’re there—just use the overnight train for the long trips. But I’m worried we won’t get seats if we buy the tickets on the spot, say, 2 days before. My girlfriend and I booked our tickets with Saudia Airlines for a trip to Thailand this summer, from July 5th to August 3rd. Given the geopolitical situation in the Middle East, we’re keeping a close eye on the news.

• Have you heard anything about possible mass cancellations or if the airline is still maintaining its routes to Asia?
• Are there any travelers who’ve recently returned who could tell us if air corridors have been changed (longer flight times)?
