Lorsque tu es soigné à l'étranger, en dehors de l'Europe et du champ d'application du formulaire E101, il n'est pas possible de se faire rembourser par la CNAM. En fonction de ta mutuelle, tu peux te faire rembourser une partie de ces soins.
Pour les USA, la politique des mutuelles est la suivante : si tu es domicilié en France, et qu'il t'arrive quelque chose de grave là bas, tu seras rapatriée car les USA comme le Japon font partie des pays classés par les assureurs comme étant à très gros risques financiers. Aussi, je doute que si tu résides aux USA, une mutuelle française accepte de couvrir tes frais médicaux... tu devras donc trouver une assurance santé américaine qui seras beaucoup plus cher que ce que tu as l'habitude de payer en France.
Pour le Canada, et plus particulièrement le Québec, la situation est différente car ce pays propose des protections sociales plus comparables à celles que l'on trouve en France. Mais les Québécois du forum pourront te renseigner.
Le formulaire E101 est destiné aux travailleurs détachés, à savoir:
"La notion de détachement est issue de la directive européenne 96/71/CE en vertu laquelle le détachement d’un travailleur vise une situation dans laquelle un travailleur est envoyé par son employeur dans un Etat membre autre que celui où il effectue habituellement ses prestations de travail. Cela présuppose le maintien de la relation de travail entre l’employeur et le travailleur détaché pendant toute la période du détachement. L’entreprise qui détache ses travailleurs dans un autre Etat membre est tenue de respecter un ensemble de règles impératives minimales du pays d’accueil."

Non tu ne te trompe pas tu as raison, puisque mon statut pendant 30 mois sera uniquement et seulement touriste/vacancière et non expatriée ou détachée

Je pose cette question suite à la réponse que ma fait l'un des responsables de la securité sociale à laquelle je suis affiliée et qui dit que je dois cotiser à la CFE pour etre rembourser de mes soins (part sécurité sociale uniquement)
Sauf que je reste spetique sur sa réponse, personnellement je pense que non, car ce projet je le fait dans le cadre de mon Congé Epargne Temps, ce congé étant assimilé à une période de travail, je percevrais durant mon CET mon salaire, mon ancienneté, mes CA...et je continurais à cotiser à la securité sociale à laquelle je suis affiliée aujourd'hui.

... sur la base d'une expérience vécue personnellement, je réponds oui : j'étais touriste au Népal et super couvert par une assurance genre Europ Assistance
... les soins sur place et autres dépenses de rapatriement ont été pris en charge par mon assurance
... à mon retour en France, muni des pièces justificatives des frais engagés sur place, j'ai présenté mon dossier à la CPAM de mon domicile (qui dispose d'un service affecté à la prise en charge des soins effectués à l'étranger) ... qui m'a ensuite normalement remboursé de la partie des soins qui lui incombe
... ne disposant provisoirement d'aucune mutuelle au moment des soins, j'ai reversé intégralement à mon assurance le remboursement reçu de la CPAM
2°) la CFE (Caisse des Français à l'Etranger) est l'équivalent de la sécurité sociale pour les salariés français travaillant à l'étranger avec le statut d'expatrié (et non pas détaché) ... ce qui ne sera pas ton cas puisque dans le cadre de ton CET, tu conserveras ta couverture sociale "française" ...
Je sais que ca fait un bail ce sujet de discussion mais je voudrais te demander combien de temps la sécurité sociale a pris pour te rembourser les frais médicaux dépensé au Népal. Je fais les démarches y'a plus de 8 mois et pas de news de la sécu.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
The contagion seems to be spreading.
