Bonjour a tous,

Je vais sur Samui début septembre et je souhaite revenir sur Bangkok via la cote. J'aimerai me faire un ou deux stop avec une journée pour visiter. Je souhaite savoir si vous auriez des adresses des sites a voir sur cette route.

Merci par avance

Bang Saphan Guide

This website aims to bring you the most comprehensive guide to the Thai coastal town of Bangsaphan and its surroundings. [ Latest Update May 2010 ]

Bang Saphan is a sleepy beach town on the Gulf of Thailand, it can be reached from Bangkok, 380km away, in approximately 5 hours by road. There are actually two Bangsaphan's; Bangsaphan Noi and Bangsaphan Yai (meaning big and small when translated from Thai). We will focus on the larger since not a lot happens in the smaller.

Bangsaphan is still an undiscovered getaway destination so come and see it now before the crowds descend! If you have any questions please post them on our Marine Life Updates This thread in our forum will be updated periodically with images of Koh Talu marine life and reports of the condition of the coral in the area. It includes the islands of Koh Sing and Koh Sang. Please check it out for the latest info: Koh Talu Marine Life Palm Gardens Introducing a brand new resort with 4 spacious newly appointed pool-side rooms only 100 meters from the beach and within walking distance of local bars and restaurants. [ read more ... ]

Sunrise Resort The resort offers 18 independent apartments (2 or 4 beds) including a bedroom, a bathroom, a living room and a terrace (some with seaview) modernly furnished and equipped with every comfort. [ read more ... ]

Bangsaphan Guesthouse The guesthouse has now closed, the proprietors have moved to GK Restaurant near the beach. [ read more ... ] Bangsaphan Forum Online Welcome to the first and only Bang Saphan community forum. The latest topics are below:

Bangsaphan Information This online Bang Saphan guide brings you the information you need for staying in and exploring around the area. There are several local attractions including Koh Talu where day trips are popular (pictured left).

We also have a detailed accommodation guide listing Bangsaphan hotels, resorts, guesthouses and bungalows, there is something for every budget.

Eating and Drinking out in Bangsaphan A Bangsaphan feeding guide highlights all the local and expat restaurants serving good food. There are a couple of friendly little beach bars in Bang Saphan that are also included. A great way to spend a relaxing afternoon with a cold beer.

Featured Accommodation: Koh Talu Island Resort This is the ultimate paradise getaway, there are a number of deluxe rooms and bungalows ranging in price from 1,500 to 7,000 baht per night depending on your level of luxury. With beach front accommodation, bars and restaurants and sailing, kayaking and snorkeling available Koh Talu Island Resort is the prefect place to unwind. You can book it online here: [ Koh Talu Island Resort ]

Farther afield In addition to Bangsaphan, we also cover neighbouring Ban Krut and beaches further south towards Chumphon. Secret beaches and great local restaurants can all be found in this idyllic undiscovered area of Thailand.

What's in a name? We have used both versions of the spelling Bangsaphan and Bang Saphan on the site so that we can be found for both search terms. The Thai word ( บางสะพาน ) is all written as one but it's often broken into two when written phonetically, hence Bang Saphan!

Bangsapahn Updates! Please check back as this resource is currently being developed with new content added frequqently. Also feel free to join our forum if you have any questions, updated info, or Bang Saphan or Ban Krut photos you would like to see included. We also welcome suggestions for new sections and content.

Please mention Bangsaphan Guide when you visit any venues in town showing our poster!
