Alors voila, je suis francaise, j'ai 25 ans et je suis vétérinaire.
Je suis tombé amoureuse de la république dominicaine apres a peine 1 semaine de vacances et j'envisage d'y retourner plus longtemps pour mieux connaitre le pays.
Mais voila: est il possible pour des francais de trouver facilement du travail la bas, pour 1 an ou 2? et en tant que vétérinaire est ce qu'il y a de quoi faire?
Si des gens de la bas ou qui connaissent bien la rep dom pouvaient me conseiller, ca serait vraiment super!

Oui tout est possible en République Dominicaine !! Le pire comme le meilleur !
Etre amoureuse de la république dominicaine c est bien mais en une semaine … cela ne veut rien dire car la RD on l aime et la supporte ou tres vite (comme dans un couple !!) on la déteste et la quitte !
Trouver du travail est assez facile quand tu es sur place … mais la ou cela se gâte c est le salaires car ici rares sont ceux a gagner plus de 500 euros par mois . De plus se loger est de plus en plus coûteux : à partir de 300 euros mais souvent plus de 600 euros.
Par contre en tant que veto il y a de quoi faire car grand nombres de personnes ont chiens et ou chats (que cela soit pour leur sécurité à la maison ou pour leur compagnie ) et le comble est que les vet existants sont peu ou pas recommandables surtout à punta cana !!
Alors que cela soit en montant ton cabinet, ou en t associant avec un d ici ou en etant employée de l un deux : tout est possible ! Mais ici un vet a plusieurs fonctions : vet mais aussi pharmacie vet puis toiletteur, mais aussi magasin « pet dog » … bref un vrai BHV de l animal ! Sachant en plus que les typologies d infections sont a tendance tropicales et ne ressemblent en rien a ce que tu peux connaître en Europe ! Sans oublié que se fournir en tout est assez difficile ici …
Je suis a ta disposition pour tout contact avec 2 d entre eux à punta cana…
Mais dans tout les cas essaye de venir au moins 2 mois pour découvrir la RD et vérifier si ta première passion restera aussi forte ou si elle n était que mirage !
Ainsi pourras tu aussi voir quelle région te semble la plus idéal pour toi …car chaque région a ses points forts et ses points faibles en fonction de chacun et en fonction de son devenir professionnel …
Evidement l espagnol et l anglais sont obligatoires !!
Alors bonne découverte de notre Paradis mais attention qu il ne devienne pas l enfer pour toi …

Pour ce qui est des pathologies tropicales, je suis deja originaire d'une ile ensoleillée alors ca ne devrait pas me poser trop de probleme (enfin j'espere)!

Ici tout est ossible pour travailler facil, mais et je dit bien mais, toujours se rapprocher de la UASD pour les professions suivantes : Medecin, infirmiere, veterinaire, ingenieur, architecte, contable etc. Toutes les professions cadres et de sante, sont soumisent a validation et legalisation de diplomes par la UASD, ce qui permet d'être inscrit a l'ordre professionel correspondant.
Toujours se mettre en rapport avec elle.

Je comprends que tu aies passé de bonnes vacances, mais en 1 semaine, surtout en vacances, tu n'as pas vu la vraie RD. Ne te précipites pas, prends tous les renseignements que tu trouveras, retournes y passer un plus long séjour pour étudier in situ comment tu pourrais fonctionner avec tes connaissances. Les animaux dominicains ont bien besoin de vétérinaires et leurs propriétaires, lorsqu'ils en ont, ont bien besoin d'éducation... Mais pourras-tu en vivre ?😕

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
