J'ai 27 ans et j'ai l'intention de partir en Angleterre pour améliorer mon Anglais (rien d'original). Je souhaite partir en début d'année, au début de mon projet je voulait partir pour un minimum de 5 mois mais depuis j'ai l'opportunité d'un super travail en Avril. Du coup je vois la durée à la baisse, soit 3 mois, à moins que je n'obtienne pas le travail.
Le but de ce voyage serait d'améliorer mon anglais, découvrir une autre culture et prendre un bol d'air après une année difficile.
J'ai deux options, merci pour vos votes:
_ Un séjour linguistique à Bournemouth, 12 semaines 25h de cours par semaine, hébergement demi pension la semaine, pension complète le week-end= 3500€
OU
_ Une famille anglaise de Dorset me propose d'être au pair pour eux: 480£ par semaine + 95£ pour le bus + téléphone portable + participation aux cours d'anglais. Par contre l'hébergement ne sera pas chez eux. Il me propose de me trouver un studio aménagé pour environ 90£ par semaine. J'adore mon indépendance mais j'ai peur de ne pas faire de progrès en anglais. De nature méfiante, je peur également d'une arnaque (c'est super bien payé pour être au pair, non?), bien que la famille mentionne un contrat.
Financièrement parlant, il n'y a pas photo s'est la deuxième option qui est la meilleure mais je pose la question si c'est également la meilleure option concernant le fait d'améliorer mon anglais et découvrir la culture. Je me doute bien qu'en 3 mois pour être fluent ça sera compliqué. Mon objectif est de me sentir plus à l'aise à l'oral et améliorer notamment ma compréhension (j'aimerais suivre des conversation sans faire de gymnastique en passant par le Français). Grâce à un séjour seule en Irlande pendant un mois, ne sachant quasiment pas parler anglais, j'ai décomplexé et fait des progrès mais pas suffisant pour mon travail (je bosse dans le tourisme).
Désolé pour ce post un peu 3615 ta vie, mais si ça peut également aider d'autres personnes...
Je vous propose donc un petit sondage. Toutes les personnes qui ont fait l'expérience des séjour linguistique et des voyages au pair sont invités à développer.
Perso si j'avais à choisis ça serait la première option pour les raisons suivantes :
1 ) Même si tu paye 3500 euros le séjour, là t'est au moins sûr de partir l'esprit tranquille.Quand je dit sûr j'exagère un peu, car tout peut arriver dans une vie, nous ne sommes à l'abris de rien.Tu part sans doute avec EF, ESL, etc...un de ces organismes ?
Si c'est le cas, sache que ces organismes inclus en option à la fin le transport de l'aéroport à l'école en question.Ce qui est un avantage car tu n'aura pas à lever le petit doigt, mise à part ouvrir la portière...même là je crois que c pris en charge ahahahah !
2 ) Des organismes linguistiques bénéficie d'une reconnaissance dans les entreprises dû au TOEIFL, l'examen d'anglais.Les cours sont généralement bien structurés, différents points sont abordés.
3 ) De + ici le logement est compris dedans, ce n'est donc pas un soucis.Mais dômmage que tu n'est pas pris " chez l'habitant " ça aurait était très intéressant, ms bon c'est déjà ça !
Sérieux laisse tomber la deuxième option, tu a beaucoup de gens qui arnaques, c'est bien connu.De + fait très attention car il y'a quelques années de ça une fille a était retrouver en Angleterre morte.Elle aussi avait opter pour l'option " au pair ".

En effet, pour Bournemouth, je partirais avec Nacel. Je ne l'ai pas precise mais je chosirai l'option chez "l'habitant" pour ne pas avoir à m'embéter avec les repas, pour découvrir la culture et pratiquer l'anglais au quotien.
Les séjours Au Pair sont tops pour améliorer son anglais, mais en effet, sans encadrement il faut toujours se méfier, surtout quand ça semble trop beau pour être vrai 😉... Ou as-tu rencontré cette famille? C'était via un forum spécialisé?
Sinon pourquoi ne pas combiner les deux ? Un séjour linguistique classique + un travail au Pair dans une famille anglaise. Ca te permettrait d'économiser les frais de nourriture et d'hébergement (parce que normalement une famille qui t'accueille comme Au Pair doit te fournir le logement et l'hébergement gratuitement, enfin c'est un peu le principale de base de la jeune fille au pair !!) et tu ne devrais payer que les cours ...
Je suis fan sur FB de "Boa Lingua Séjours Linguistiques France" et il y a quelques jours ils ont passé une annonce de ce style pour une famille qui cherchait quelqu'un en Angleterre... Donc pendant 6 mois tu fais un séjour linguistique, mais tu ne paies que les cours - tu as l'hébergement et la nourriture gratuit ! donc ce type de séjour existe!
Bonjour olympe. En effet, j'avais vu cette option mais il faut partir pour un minimum de 6 mois, ce que je ne peux prévoir pour le moment. Mais c'est vrai que c'est une tres bonne methode. Je regarderais Ça de plus pres.
Quant a la famille que j'avais trouve, c'etait via un site d'annonces. J'ai laisse tombe car je leur posais des questions et me parlais que du logement qui etais a payer d'avance. Donc pour les personnes qui ont ce genre de messages, prenez garde.
Pour le moment je me dirige plus vers le sejour linguistique, a moins d'avoir une autre piste notamment sur malte.

J'arrive un peu après la discussion, mais mon avis te sera peut-être utile.
Alors si tu veux économiser de l'argent, combiner les cours et l'au pairiat, c'est ce qu'il y a de mieux. Plusieurs filles que je connais l'ont fait et ça les a beaucoup aidé à améliorer leur niveau d'anglais.
Maintenant si tu souhaites choisir entre les 2 options, je te conseillerais de partir en séjour linguistique (pas forcément via un organisme, il existe beaucoup d'école en Angleterre qui proposent des cours d'anglais et aussi un hébergement en famille d’accueil et tout cela pour beaucoup moins cher que les organismes de séjour linguistique !!)
Et rien de t'empêchera sur place de trouver un petit boulot, quelques heures par semaines, pour gagner un peu de sous.
J'ai vu que tu as 27 ans et je pense qu'être au pair à cet âge là n'est pas l'idéal (très difficile de vivre dans une famille d'accueil et de suivre ses règles, lorsqu'on est déjà indépendant)

salut, je connais des gens qui ont fait le mca de manchester et il avait l'air d'etre relativement content...
apres y'a plein de francais dans ce genre de cours et ils avaient plutot tendance a rester entre eux, pour progresser en anglais y'a qd meme mieux :)
pour la vie en colloc, j'ai l'impression qu;il est qd meme bcp plus facile de trouver ce type de logement qd on arrive dans "rien" en angleterre (boulot, compte bancaire etc...). J'ai connu des gens auquelle les agences demandaient 6 mois de loyer d'avance...
