Mais aujourd'hui, à force de parcourir les forums, je me demande si la situation ne s'est pas inversée et s'il n'est pas devenu + facile de trouver du taf en NZ..
Ya-t-il des personnes sur ce forum qui ont eu l'expérience dans les 2 pays récemment? et qui pourraient m'apporter leur éclairage?
Depart prévu en septembre, niveau d'anglais moyen, WHV obtenu pr l'Australie, prête à faire la demande pour la NZ..
Bonnes nouvelles pour toi, une de mes amies du canada est partie il y a 3 mois en australie, pour sydney, avec une amie de la france et elles ont un travail et un appartement. Le plus diffcile, selon elles, a été de trouver un logement, mais pour le travail, elles m'ont dit que la récession économique mondiale ne les a pas vraiment nuies. Le plus important est que tu montres que tu t'exprimes bien en anglais et que tu apprends vite, et surtout va porter tes c.v. partout, même au Mc Donald s'il le faut, car souvent les places les plus intéressantes ou tu désireras le plus travailler te rappelleront 1 semaine après... Autre truc, achete toi un cellulaire avant de partir d'une compagnie australienne, sur le net par exemple, pour que dès que tu arrives, tu puisses avoir mis sur ton cv un numéro de téléphone ou te rejoindre.

Bon alors moi j'ai pas tout a fait le meme discours pour le travail à Sydney. Une amie était venue il y a 2 mois pour trouver du travail à l'origine dans les galeries d'arts (elle a quand meme 2 masters en poches et parle bien sur tres bien anglais), mais ça n'a rien donné: les employeurs étaient svt frileux de ne pouvoir la garder que 6 mois max (à cause du WHV) donc elle s'est rabatu sur tous les fast-food et restaurant (elle a svt travaillé pour Mc Do en France, donc elle a de l'experience) et ça n'a rien donné non plus. La plupart des fast-food preferent employer des mineurs car ainsi ils peuvent les payer moins cher.
Il y a aussi le probleme de la nationalité. L'Australie est peut-etre moins touché par la crise (mais comme ce pays est le dernier sur la liste, c'est ces prochains mois qu'on saura reellement comment il s'en sort), mais du coup il y a bcp d'étrangers qui arrivent justement parce que dans leur pays y'a pas d'emplois, donc ça fait bcp plus de personnes à chercher un travail. Et il y a ce phenomene de peur de la part des australiens, donc ils peuvent vouloir favoriser leur pays en employant un australien, et on peut pas leur en vouloir!
Moi je suis actuellement en stage à Sydney donc tout va bien, mais je vais chercher du travail du coté de Brisbane ou Cairns pour Juillet, et j'ai deja regardé pour Cairns, et par exemple pour un job de serveuse, soit ils demandent un cv long comme le bras (meme si j'ai deja fait 2 saisons, j'ai pas 3 ans d'experiences!), soit c'est pour 6 mois ou plus, soit ils veulent que tu habites Cairns, soit ils veulent pas de Visa ! Donc moi qui pensait que ce serait facile, ben va surement falloir passer plus de temps que prevu à la recherche!
Mais tu peux tres bien etre chanceuse, et en plus ce mois ci y'a eu des emplois en plus en Australie, donc le chomage recule !
Pour le logement dans Sydney un site: http://sydney.gumtree.com.au/. C'est comme que j'ai trouver mon 1er logement (que je quitte d'ailleurs vendredi 22 mai, donc si qql est interessé...) et c'est tres simple.
Ne pas oublier de faire la demande de Tax File Number sur le site du gouvernement avant de bosser ou jusqu'au 28eme apres le debut du 1er emploi (demande en ligne, qui prend 15 min, juste besoin d'une adresse ou envoyer le courier, que j'ai reçu en 2 jours!).

Je suis rentré il y a 4 jours de Nouvelle-Zélande, j'y ai passé 8 mois et j'y ai travaillé plusieurs mois. Autant te dire que le boulot la bas, je connais! J'ai rencontré pas mal de personnes qui avaient un VVT (Visa Vacances Travail) pour l'Australie et qui étaient de passage en NZ, et selon eux ce n'était pas si facile de trouver un taf. Le probleme, beaucoup de monde part en Australie donc ca sature un peu question emploi. L'avantage de la Nz apr rapport a l'Australie, c'est que tu ne dois pas rouler pendant plusieurs heures pour tomber sur des paysages magnifiques, tout est tout pres en NZ. Tu peux traverser l'ile nord ou sud en une seule journée facilement (voiture, bus, stop). De plus, les locaux sont beaucoup plus sympa en NZ qu'en Australie (du moins que la cote est de l'Australie). Perso, c'est ce qui m'a fait penché pour la NZ.
Question boulot, rien de plus facile! Tu peux trouver du travaille dans les villes (Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington) facilement, bien sur tu n'auras pas le boulot de tes reves mais bon faire serveur ou barmaid qlq mois ce n'est pas si derangeant! Tu n'as qu'à passer dans tout les bars pub resto que tu croises tu y deposes ton cv et en general tu as du boulot le jour meme. Tu peux me croire, je l'ai fait. Mais si tu veux vraiment visiter la NZ, il faut sortir des villes. Ce pays est juste extraordinaire. Si tu aimes travailler à l'exterieur (la meilleure option selon moi, tu profites vraiment des paysages comme ca), tu peux travailler dans les vignes, champs de kiwi, citron, abricot, pommes, ... Si tu recherches des adresses, je peux t'aider facilement. Si tu commences un job, ca ne te plais pas, pas grave tu passes un coup de fil et tu commences le jour meme ailleurs! Pas du tout comme en france...

Je me permets de me glisser dans cette conversation, car je pars en octobre en NZ pour 1an avec WHV et ça serait super si tu pouvais me filer des adresses, des bons plans pour bosser dans le milieu agricole.
Le but de mon aventure est profiter et voir le maximum de paysage, être au plus proche de la nature et travailler dans la récolte de fruits me paraît le meilleur compromis.

Pour ton secteur (un peu artistique) je te conseil Melbourne, qui est une ville d'art, de musée et de culture!
En Australie (comme dans les autres pays anglo-saxons, c'est surtout l'expérience qui compte, et non pas les études. Exemple: J'ai travaillé 1 mois dans un entrepôt logistique à Perth, et une fille de 20 ans (qui y travaillait depuis deja 2 ans, donc dès la fin du lycée) avait le 3eme poste en terme de responsabilité. Moi à 23 ans j'étais encore (et encore aujourd'hui) en train de faire des longues études pour esperer avoir un poste comme le sien ou avec + de responsabilité (quand meme un master 2 en logistique). Cela faisait donc 2 ans qu'elle avait un super salaire, une super voiture, et moi je suis en train de faire ma 6eme année à la fac (avec ce que ça implique financièrement), pour sortir avec un salaire équivalent au sien !
Donc c'est super que tu ais de l'experience.
Quand je dis que trouver un job dans son domaine est tres dur, je parlais de mon amie qui n'a pas trouvé dans les galeries d'art. Je ne connais le marché de chaque secteur d'activité, donc pour ton metier je n'en sais rien! Je pense juste qu'il faut bien commencer à chercher avant de partir, ça te donnera une idée de la difficulté ou facilité.
