les vaccins normaux "tétanos polio" mais ça tout le monde là
sinon rien d'autre prévoir une petite pharmacie, style (carbolevure, antibiotique large spectre style augmentin (aucune interaction avec le soleil), goutte auriculaire sans danger antibiosynalar, les médecins prescrivent facilement ces médicaments quand on leur dit que l'on part à l'étranger) c'est utile au cas ou avec les climatiseurs dans les magasins bus etc bcp on choppe des angines et si des touristes attrapent parfois des bactéries à l'oreille dans les piscines, les médecins il yen a mais bon un peu cher, un antibiotique est utile dans les bagages en cas de pépin simples comme ceux là, prévoyez un lainage ou foulard dans les transports si vous comptez en prendre
antipaléduen pas obligatoire, juste parfois conseillé par certains médecins, surtout si vous allez vers la frontière birmane, le reste de la thailande aucune endémie, des cas isolés parait il, un client de notre agence à eu le paludisme à chiang mai l'année dernière en période de mousson ... donc c'est à vous de prendre vos précautions si vous avez peur de ça. Nous 12 fois là bas et jamais d'antipalédueen c'est la faut à pas de chance si le palu frappe
par contre c'est la mousson en août donc risque de très forte humidité et moustiques virulents à cette époque. donc achetez sur place les répulsifs bcp moins cher là bas ne vous embêtez pas à les acheter en france.
enfin ceci dit vous n'avez pas choisi la bonne époque pour vous y rendre
pour le sud il faudrait choisir "koh samui" la mousson est inversée. Phuket peut avoir de grosses pluies durables avec des queues de typhons si un sévi sur le haut de l'asie du sud est.

Nous avons consulté des médecins en Thaïlande plusieurs fois, et n'avons pas eu de mal à les trouver.
En clinique privée thaï la consultation est élevée, si on compare la compare au coût de la vie là-bas. Mais on peut également aller dans un hôpital et c'est bien moins cher.
Les soins reçus sont corrects, et nous avons été remboursés à notre retour en France.

aussi bien entendu mais quand on se trouve dans un coin reculé de thailande avec une fièvre de cheval (des touristes l'ont vécu et on les a dépanné de boites en s'assurant qu'ils n'avaient pas d'allergie à la molécule que l'on avait, en attendant qu'ils puissent se procurer ce qu'il faut dans une pharmacie)
les pharmaciens ne sont pas tous les 100 m dans les iles ou en trekking et bien c mieux d'en avoir d'avance ça mange pas de pain. mieux vaut prévoir que guérir
Salut, tu as besoin de tout (thyphoide, DCT, RRO, Polyo, Hépatites A et B), sauf fièvre jaune, rage et encéphalite japonaise (sauf cette dernière si tu vas rester sur des fermes rurales durant plus d'un mois consécutif). Voilà! A+

et je compte rajouter la vaccin tuberculose;
le traitement pour le palu est selon lui indispensable, par contre il coute cher et n'est pas remboursé. Il vaux mieux l'acheter sur place à BKK dans les pharmacies spécialisées.
Les médecins font souvent preuve d'un alarmiste excessif concernant la Thailande et se la jouent principes de précaution à fond(genre tuer une souris avec une bombe atomique).Pour le palu, les zones à risques ne sont pas nombreuses et necessitent plus une protection pour éviter les piqures qu'à prendre des comprimés qui entrainent des effets secondaires importants.Les vaccins Hépatite A et B me semblent mériter une reflexion car il est plus facile d'éviter les conduites à risques avant tout.Je te conseille d'attendre ton arrivée en Thailande pour te constituer ta pharmacie car tu peux tout trouver sur place sans ordonnace et à des tarifs imbattables.Au moindre souci, tu peux aller à l'hopital (le plus souvent privé) pour consulter des médecins très compétents mais qui souvent te prescrivent le traitement le plus cher car ils savent que l'étranger peut payer .Vivant régulierement en Thailande, je fais régulierement confiance au personnel médical et paramédical et je t'assure qu'ils sont compétents dans la mesure de leurs moyens.Ma femme a accouché à BKK et elle a connu une qualité de soins et d'accueil bien supérieure à ce qu'elle aurait pu espérer en France.Je suis d'accord avec les autres mesages, il n'y a aucun traitement pour éviter l'addiction à la Thailande.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
The contagion seems to be spreading.
