Nous sommes un couple de 28 et 31 ans avec un bébé prévu fin mai, qui souhaite troquer la vie de cette si cette belle région parisienne pour une vie un peu plus ensoleillée et douce. Départ envisagé cet été.
Après mures réflexions nous avons jetés notre dévolu sur les Antilles. Seulement nous n'avons jamais posé les pieds sur une de ces îles... ce qui ne nous affole pas plus que ça d'ailleurs. Bref, nous avons bcp de questions dont entre autre :
1) quel est l'état du marché du travail en Martinique et Gwada ? faut-il mieux privilégier l'une ou l'autre pour notre arrivée sachant que je recherche un poste dans la climatisation ou/et le froid, ma femme dans l'enseignement ou l'assistanat ?
2) quel type de logement peut-on avoir le temps de se fixer dans un endroit, y a t'il des mobil homes, caravanes par exemple ?
3) quelles sont les difficultées pour les démarches administratives ?
ouah!! il faut le faire tout de même!!! partir comme ça sans y avoir été une fois !!!
avec mon mari nous comptons nous installer la bas aussi d'ici 5 ans, mais contrairement à vous nous y allons tous les ans pour mieux connaitre l'ile, les antillais, et tout et tout. Nous nous faisons des amis antillais car nous louons chez eux, nous apprenons beaucoup.
Mais bon chacun voit midi à sa porte!!!!!je vous souhaite bonne chance
quelques pistes : j'ai un copain ingénieur dans le frois clim qui a cherché du travail pendant 1 an...et rien ; ici le marché du travail est très très restreint...30% de chômage au moins. Quant à l'enseignement, ça dépend du statut et de la discipline enseignée (je suis moi même enseignante) pas de mobilhome ni caravane, cherchez un gite de france et négociez le prix ou louez un studio F1 pour les débuts...les prix dépendent beaucoup (comme partout !) de la localisation : dans le nord, accessibles, dans le sud aïe aïe aïe...il faudrait un peu de détails pour répondre utilement et précisement à tes questions pour les démarches administratives tout a tendance à être long et difficile : 5 semaines la ligne de téléphone (si, si !) mais j'ai l'impression que France télécom a fait des progrès ; mon mari est étranger, alors là, c'est pire que tout pour les papiers !, et puis si tu tombes sur la fille ou le gars qui a envie de t'em.... (parce que ta femme est trop jolie au goût de la fille ou parce que t'es blanc, soyons réaliste, ça arrive, pas toujours mais régulièrement, mais peut être as tu la chance -pour vivre aux antilles, c'est mieux-de ne pas être blanc...). Comme partout, il y a des gens peu aimables même si tu arrives cool avec grand sourire...il faut laisser les illusions "tout le monde il est beau tout le monde il y gentil aux antilles " et ça va rouler ! contacte moi en message privé si tu veux d'autres info plus détaillées. La Martinique, j'ai visité et je n'ai pas aimé.(mais ça reste mon avis)
Trop de circulation, très peu de plage et lagon, et pas grand chose à visiter en comparaison avec la Guadeloupe.
De plus en Guadeloupe, tu as toutes les petites dépendances autours:Marie Galante, Petite Terre, les Saintes, la Désirade, les îlets(gosier, fajou, etc...)Le jour ou tu es en congés, tu fais 30 ou 45mn de bateau et tu es sur une autre île.
Tu as tout le côté Basse terre avec de fabuleuses rando, canyoning, plongées (sur la reserve Cousteau)des plages fabuleuses.
Le Côté grande terre plus sec, avec ces champs de canne, mais aussi de fabuleuses plages et lagons turquoises et de très belles plongées aussi surtout vers Port Louis.
Tu as aussi les mangroves à voir en bateau ou cayak.
Quand aux problèmes avec les métros..????? je n'ai jamais entendu parler de ça!!jamais eu de problème avec eux. Ni avec les locaux d'ailleurs!
Il te suffit de ne pas arriver en territoire conquis et tu fais vite ton petit trou.
je continuerais à faire très prudemment des choses dangereuses, pour pouvoir les faire longtemps...!

Mon mari a postulé pour un emploi là bas. Moi j'ai une agence de pub (je ne sais pas du tout s'il y a possibilité de continuer mon activité en Martinique... une femme de métropole... ???)
Nous avons aussi une petite puce de bientôt 20 mois, deux Dalmatiens et un chat à faire voyager 🙂

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
