je suis actuellement étudiant en france et je vais continuer mes études au canada. J ai en effect été accepté à bishop university à lennoxville et à uqam à montréal. je souhaiterai avoir des informations sur bishop ( reconnaissance du diplome, qualité de l enseignement...) est ce mieu d aller à bishop plutot qu à uqam pour un b.A.A?
En ce qui concerne la qualité de vie bishop, est ce possible d habiter à sherbrooke et d'étudier à bishop? J ai entendu parler d'insécurité en ce qui concerne lennoxville et sherbrooke en général, est ce justifié?
Quel serait le quartier le plus calme et agréable à sherbrooke?
Derniere question, je ne connai pas l hiver canadien, à quel temperature je doit m attendre?

L'université Bishop est très reconnue. J'espère que je ne t'apprend rien en te disant qu'elle est exclusivement anglophone.
Je me demande bien de quelle insécurité tu as pu entendre parler à propos de Sherbrooke??!! C'est une ville moyenne bien tranquille.
Depuis 2002, la ville de Lennoxville n'existe officiellement plus, elle a été fusionné à sa grande soeur Sherbrooke, mais les gens continuent de faire une distinction.
Il est facile d'habiter à Sherbrooke, si tu comptes utiliser le transport en commun, je te conseille le quartier qui est près de l'Université de Sherbrooke (des bus relient les deux universités. Tu peux aussi t'établir aux pieds du mont Bellevue et ainsi profiter de ses espaces verts et de son centre de ski (pour débutants, mais tout de même au coeur de la ville). Si tu a un véhicule personnel, tu peux emménager dans tout autre quartier de Sherbrooke, il n'y a peu de quartiers chauds, à part peut-être le centre ville.
De mi-décembre à la la mi-février il faut froid (particulièrement à la mi-janvier). Il fait habituellement entre -10 et -15 celcius le jour et autour de -20 la nuit. Lors des grand froids de janvier le mercure peut décendre jusqu'à -30 le jour et -40 la nuit. Il faudra t'acheter un bon manteau en arivant ici, une tuque, un foulard, des gants, et des bottes (malgré que les adolescents passent souvent l'hiver en espadrilles). Il y a aussi la neige, on est heureux de la voir tomber les premières fois mais à la fin de l'hiver on en a vraiment marre, surtout si on doit la pelleter soi-même!! Habituellement les douces journées reviennent en mars et en avril et mai les bourgeons éclosent et les fleurs sortent de terre.
Je connais bien l'Uiversité Bishop à Lennoxville; mon fils y a fait une maitrise en commerce/marketting.
Faut savoir que les cours s'y donnent exclusivement en anglais. La moitié des étudiants proviennent d, ailleurs de l'Ontario voisin because les frais de scolarité sont bcp moindre au Québec...
Bishop s'est spécialisée en sciences economiques alors qu'à Laval s'est plutot le droit, Sherbrooke la médecine etc....Je suppose que le BAA est le Bacchalauréat en Administration, soit diplome universitaire de premier cycle(trois ans) ?
Question communications et logements, tu aurais plus de facilités à Montréal (U.Q.A.M. = Université du Québec A Montréal). La plupart des logements/chambres disponibles se louent au cours de l, été et les demandes sont vite comblées. Un service municipal d'autobus joint Sherbrooke à Lennoxville. En somme, à qualité égale, tu as le choix entre la grande ville(Montréal) et une belle ville provinciale(Sherbrooke 150, 000h) à 10' des lacs et de la campagne....Bishop's est déjà à la campagne...!
Je demeure a 40km de Bishop's, j, y vais régulierement pour des concerts, conférence etc...c, est tres sympa comme ambiance, mais je risque de ne pas être objectif pcq je déteste Montréal...

tout d'abord merci pour ces messages de réponses, je suis en pleine réfléxion concernant un hypotétique départ pour sherbrooke à bishop ou montréal à uqam. La finalité serait apres l'obtention d'un B.A.A ( baccalauréat en administration des affaires) dans une de ces 2 universités, d'intégrer une autre école en deuxième cycle comme: HEC montréal, Mc Gill ou Concordia. Si les avis sur ce forum sur sherbrooke converge pour dire que cette ville propose une bonne qualité de vie pour les étudiants, j ai cepandant un peu peur de m'ennuyer ferme. Que peut on faire comme activité l hiver? est ce que quelqu'un à deja été à bishop ou uqam?

Je suis étudiante à l'UQAM et j'ai toujours vécu à Montréal. Je peux te dire que si tu trouves le moyen de t'ennuyer à Montréal c'est que tu l'auras voulu...😛
Je ne connais pas très bien Sherbrooke donc je ne ferrais pas de comparaison. Tout dépend de ce que tu recherche comme style de vie et comme vie sociale. À l'UQAM les gens sont cool et relax et plusieurs viennent de l'extérieur pour y étudier. Je crois que la ville de Sherbrooke est plus nature, forêts et plein air alors que Montréal est plus urbaine, centre-ville et quartiers tendances. Tu sais rien ne t'empêche de visiter la belle ville de Sherbrooke et ses environs si tu décides de t'inslaller à Montréal et vice-versa donc tu devrais baser ton choix surtout sur la qualité du programme offert par l'Université....

J'ai fréquenté le campus de l'université Bishop et j'ai ADORÉ ! Crois-moi, tu n, auras pas le temps de t'ennuyer là bas! La vie en résidence est géniale, mais tu peux aussi bien avoir un appartement à Sherbrooke. Le campus est d'une rare beauté ! Les buildings sont jolies et on y retrouve beaucoup d'espace vert !! Tandis que l'université de Montréal est bien aussi, mais j'ai bien aimé le coté plus inime que Bishop a pu M'offrir !

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
