J'ai une proposition de travail pour aller à Istanbul pendant au moins 1 an.
Je ne suis jamais allé en Turquie.
Avant de m'y installer je vais aller faire un "repérage" pour sentir l'atmosphère de la ville, et voir si çà me conviendrait.
J'aimerais savoir si vous connaissez un site ou je peux chercher des appartements à louer (longue durée) et avoir une estimation de ce que coûtes la vie là bas, notamment avec un enfant de 1an et 1/2.
Cela me permettrait de préparer ma négociation de salaire et autres avantages en nature...
De plus la Turquie n'étant pas encore en Europe, les formalités d'entrée doivent être un peu complexe pour une longue durée.

J'avais cru comprendre que "La passerelle" s'adressait plutôt aux couples mixtes et à l'intégration du conjoint ou de la conjointe, mais j'ai pu mal comprendre.
J'ai mentionné "La Passerelle" au cas où.
Je suis persuadé qu'au sein de cette Association on peut
se renseigner sur toutes sortes de sujets qui ne trouveraient
pas de réponses ailleurs.
En toute franchise, si vous ne comptez pas rester plus d'un an, évitez les paperasses et le visa de séjour très cher et partez en Europe faire un aller-retour tous les 3 mois... juste un petit conseil.
Attention les prix des appartements à Istanbul sont exorbitants. Préférez la co-location, mais évidemment avec un enfant c'est peut-être pas l'idéal.
Sinon, Istanbul est une ville folle et merveilleuse. Nous y serons le 18 juin. Bon séjour!

Les démarches administratives ne sont pas forcément facile, et la garde d'un enfant de moins de 3 ans aussi (sauf avec de gros moyens financiers).
Ce sera plus facile à partir de 3 ans car il y a la possibilité de l'inscrire à l'école maternelle française.
Autant l'expérience humaine de l'expatriation me motive, mais la réalité de la vie là-bas me fait réfléchir, car il n'est pas prévu que j'ai une augmentation de salaire et ma femme ne va pas trouver de travail tout de suite...
Le fait que les loyer soient chers est un gros handicap.
Du coup je pense aller passer une semaine à Istanbul début septembre en réperage....
mais j'ai l'impression que je vais refuser cette offre, car j'ai pas mal à perdre au niveau de ma vie de famille qui est somme toute assez agréable et "facile" en france.

Non, non ; c'est beaucoup moins que ça si on accepte de s'éloigner du coin très onéreux des expatriés chics. Il y a à Istanbul des appartements de 100 m2 pour 700 YTL, même moins. (400 euros). Ce qui est très cher ce sont les appartement meublés spécialement pour étrangers, genre 1500 euros/mois.

Si vous changez quelques unes de vos habitudes de vie (pour l'alimentation notamment car les produits importés sont chers), vous pouvez vivre très bien à Istanbul avec même l'équivalent du smic Français.... Ce serait dommage de rater cette occasion. Les gens sont beaucoup moins stressés ici, et ils ne sont pas sans arrêt en train de se plaindre comme en France... Pour moins de 400 euros effectivement vous pouvez trouver des appartements très bien de 100 m2 environ dans des quartiers ordinaires. Il y en a même à 200 euros, mais si vous êtes habitués aux standarts Français ça ne vous plaira peut-être pas. Pour faire garder votre enfant il y a des crèches qui doivent coûter environ 300 euros au mois, je ne pense pas qu'il y ai des listes d'attente excessives les crèches ici sont quand même reservées aux gens plus riches. Sinon pour 300 euros vous pouvez aussi très bien prendre quelqu'un à domicile (mais qui parle Turc, qqn qui parle Français c'est beaucoup plus cher), evidemment il reste toujours le problème de la confiance après. Pour en revenir à l'appartement le mieux c'est que vous repériez les quartiers qui vous conviendraient (par rapport à votre travail notamment) et que vous vous rendiez ensuite chez un "emlakçı" (emlakci- comme une agence immobilière) du quartier, il y en a de partout. Le cout de la vie n'a rien à voir avec celui de Paris, moi je dirai que c'est 2 fois moins cher- c'est une estimation car je n'ai jamais non plus habité à Paris. N'hésitez pas si vous avez d'autre questions, pour des conseils sur les quartiers, ou encore pour des nourrices...

Je loue actuellement un appartement a SultanAhmet pour 850 YTL, soit 425 €. il fait env. 100m2 et est situé dans un quartier relativement cher. En vous éloignant, vous pourrez trouver largement moins cher.
Quant à la vie de tous les jours, elle est largement moins chère qu'à Paris sauf si vous passez votre temps dans les restos les plus chics et les coins les plus branchés de la ville. Ne vous fiez pas trop à certains sites de francophones qui parlet de leur vie VIP à istanbul comme si c'était le commun des stambouliotes. Ici, par exemple, le pain est a env 85 kurus, soit a peine 42 centimes d'€, le kilo d'orange a 1 ytl soit 0.5 €, celui de concombre a 0, 75 ytl soit env. 0, 38 €, un paquet de petits gateaux a 0, 5 ytl, etc etc... SI vous connaissez un endroit à Paris avec ces prix, donnez l'adresse, beaucoup seront intéressés.

Je m'insère dans la discussion car moi aussi je désire m'installer à Istanbul; j'y ai été 2 fois comme touriste et franchement je suis tombée amoureuse de la ville!
Je ne parle pas (encore :)) turc, mais anglais et allemand (pas tout à fait bilingue cependant). Avez-vous une idée de la difficulté à trouver un job dans ces conditions?...
En fait j'ai un master en gestion de projets européen et un petit diplôme de piano, donc je peux donner des cours par exemple.
Quand on ne parle pas turc, je dirais qu'il n'y a que de très rares emplois disponibles en Turquie, sauf dans le tourisme et (le plus simple) dans des sociétés étrangères établies ici. On te parlera très certainement du consulat et de l'aide fournie par l'OMI mais franchement à part mal te recevoir et te dire que tu n'as aucune chance (parce que tu ne parles pas turc), je n'ai jamais compris à quoi ils pouvaient servir. J'ai eu deux entretiens là-bas, j'ai envoyé mon cv... mais je n'ai jamais eu aucune nouvelle.
Ton master te servira peut-etre mais dans des sociétés étrangères. Quant à ton diplome de piano, effectivement, il pourrait t'aider à avoir un revenu complémentaire non négligeable si tu trouves des clients. Mais je pense que c'est tout à fait possible.
Un conseil, avant de partir, renseignes toi auprès des sociétés françaises qui sont ici, ou anglaises et allemandes si tu te sens à l'aise dans ces deux langues. Sans quoi, il faudra passer par le bouche à oreille, ce qui marche très bien ici si tu as des bons contacts. Mais dans ce cas, n'oublies jamais que tu auras le plus souvent un salaire turc... très très loin d'un salaire moyen ou même du smic français.
Je ne veux pas te faire peur mais simplement te prévenir.
Autre chose, 2 fois à Istanbul et tu craques ? Je le comprends tout à fait ! Moi, mon premier jour en Turquie a été le point de départ de ma vie ici.. mais 3 ans et 15 voyages plus tard ! Il ne faut pas que tu te laisses ennivrer par les premières effluves de la belle Istanbul. La vie est belle ici au premier contact mais elle peut être aussi assez difficile si on n'y est pas préparé, sauf bien sur si tu restes dans le milieu francophone, ce que beaucoup ont fait sans tenter la moindre intégration dans la vraie vie turque. Moi, j'ai refusé ces contacts francophones dès le début, ce qui était sans doute une erreur, tout au moins pour débuter. Et j'ai passé une vraie année de galère... bien que je me sentais vraiment prête à vivre ici. Je ne rentrerais pas dans les détails mais je me dis parfois qu'il faut être un peu dingue pour avoir enduré ce que j'ai vécu ici et ne pas être retourné en France.
Maintenant, j'y suis depuis novembre 2007...

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
