J'ai la possibilité de travailler à fort-dauphin pour diriger l'école internationale qui souvrira à l'occasion de l'exploitation de la mine et de la construction du port minéralier.
Je connais déjà fort-dauphin pour y avoir séjourné deux semaines.
En fait, je recherche quelqu'un pouvant m'aider concernant : la vie sur place sur le long terme (il me semble que FD est tout de même isolé), les détails pratiques (visa, assurance-maladie...), les prétentions salariales et je que je peux raisonnablement demander en nature (billet d'avion...), sachant que j'ai un logement de fonction.

Nous sommes partis à FD en déc 2006, alors que la vie y était paisible. Un ami y est retourné en avril, il était dans un endroit reculé et lors de son passage à FD en 48H, un malgache s'est fait éventré, les rues de FD sont devenues dangereuses en raison de l'arrivée de certains malgaches de Tana qui y viennent ds l'espoir de trouver du travail. Des amis de FD se plaignent d'ailleurs de cette situation de plus en plus précaire!
FD est effectivement isolé, mais je pense que la vie dans ce genre de lieux, comme partout ailleurs peuvent créer des relations très fortes entre "expat" (pas nécessairement expatriés, masi plutôt déracinés)
J'ai crû comprendre qu'effectivement les rues de FD étaient devenus de moins en moins sûres à la nuit tombées. J'ai souvent fait le trajet "La baies des singes" -centre-ville et ce n'est pas très reluisant. Du reste, un fille s'était fait voler son appareil photo.
C'est vrai qu'il y a un grand bidonville où vivent plus de 3000 chômeurs; sans compter les nouveaux arrivants de Tana...

Il faudrait que je te présente une amie qui étudie à Sherbook et que j'ai rencontrée à Fort-Dauphin. J'étais en vacances et elle était en stage dans une ONG s'intéressant aux impacts (particulièrement négatifs) de l'exploitation minière.
Actuellement, elle est en vacances en métropôle, mais je paux bien sûr te donner ses coordonnées.
Sinon, j'ai un copain à Fort-Dauphin qui m'a bien précisé que FD n'était tout de même pas devenu Chicago années 30 !
Je voudrais te faire remarquer que oui il y a peut-être certains impacts negatifs pour ce qui est de l'exploitation mais qu'il y en a aussi des positifs!!!
En effet, je ne suis pas certaine que les gens sont au courant des ententes que la Cie minière à pris avec le Gouvernement... Comme bien sur le reboisement, le nettoyage des côtes en libérant celles-ci des vieilles épaves de bateaux toutes rouillés et bien dur ça crée de l'emploi...
C'est certain que les écologiste ne voient jamais ça d'un bon oeil l'arrivée de cie comme ça... Ils sont bien souvent aux barricades avant même de connaître toutes les impacts qu'il y aura..quelles soient positives ou negatives.
J'ai eu la chance de vision un documentaire qui explication leur processus d'exploitation et j'ai trouvé ça francement impressionnant et bien penser. Donc je ne suis pas certaine que les gens qui crient haut et fort aient vraiment toute l'information entre leur main.

si les compagnies font tant d'effort c'est pour soigner une image de façade, et les business et autres magouilles avec le gouvernement tu n'en n'aura pas vent avant 5 ans qd la société sera partie
si tu crois que l'emploi local va bondir tu as là aussi tout faux
la population en ce moment a un pouvoir d'achat réduit faute aux étrangers qui peuvent payer les choses plus chéres

nous avons fait 2 séjours de 1 mois à mada:
le premier en septembre 2005, en itinérant (dont une semain sur fort dauphin),
le second en avril 2007, 1 mois sur fort dauphin!
quelle surprise à notre arrivée... la coût de la vie (aussi bien touriste qu'habitant) avait triplé (nourriture, logement...).
c'était dû au fameux projet minier, mené par les QMM.
sur le papier (du temps où nous y étions), le projet semblait fabuleux... notamment: développement des infrastrutures routières (surtout celles reliant les sites miniers et le nouveau port en construction), et quelques rues du centre, offre d'emploi formation qualifiante...
tout cela en concertation étroite avec la population, bien sûr!
bref un vrai pôle économique...
dans les faits: pas de main d'oeuvre qualifiée sur fort dauphin, donc des gens de tana sont venus en masse... pas de formations qualifiantes pour la population locale, augmentation du coût de la vie (et oui, ceux qui travaillent ont de l'argent, les commerces, les restaurateurs et l'hotellerie en profitent, les prix augmentent...c'est la flambée des prix) mais toute la population locale en fait les frais. les touristes risquent de passer leur chemin, manque d'hébergement en hôtel ou des prix dignent d'hotel français! s'il n'y a plus d'activité touristique, ce sont tous les guides (nombreux) qui paieront le prix fort... cette conjoncture se faisait déjà ressentir en avril 2007. sans compter sur la création du barrage sur le deuxième lac, qui empêcherait tout simplement la réalisation d'excursion vers Ivatra et autre coin merveilleux! Pour les guides (et l'activité touristique) se serait une catastrophe... à notre départ, des négociations étaient en cours.
je m'interroge réellement sur l'impact environnement (pollution, faune et flore) d'un tel projet. Sur le papier, en effet il n'y a rien à craindre... j'en doute.
enfin, nous n'avions pas ressenti de violence ou d'agressivité (même à la nuit tombée)... mais les choses ont peut être changées. Les habitants percoivent peut être différemment le touriste et l'expatrié...
enfin, fort dauphin est une ville merveilleuse, nous vous recommandons Octave avec son piroguier et cuisinier ernest comme guides...
