au mois de nov avec mon homme on a programmé un voyage au vietnam avec ses parents (leur 1er voyage et leur rève), fin décembre mon test de grossesse s'est révélé + (attente depuis 1an et demi), donc l'angoisse m'a envahi.
Je me suis dit que je pouvais qu'en meme y aller malgré mon angoisse mais voilà, hier, j'ai vu 2 amies à moi, 2 médecins qui ont passé 2 mois pour leur externat au vietnam. Ils m'ont dit que c'était inconscient d'y aller, que je ne pourrais rien faire, que je ne pourrais pas me baigner à la baie d'along car parasites et risque de palu ou tiques au delta du mékong, je pensais faire (hanoi, along, hué, ho chi minh et le delta), maintenant je suis perdue ++++ , je dois aussi me vacciner pr hep A et typhoide et est ce possible??
Je sais plus quoi faire surtt qu'on a les billets et que mon ami veut pas le faire sans moi car qd on part c'est moi l'organisatrice.
Le pb, c'est que je pars qvt et svt je choppe qq chose, une belle tourista en chine, au costa rica...
Je veux pas aussi décevoir mes beaux parents et moi mème aussi.

Non, je pense qu'il n y a rien de dramatique! Dans les sites que tu visites peu/pas de palu, quand au risque de tyhoide, heu.... pour l hepatite A, pas plus ni moins de risque que lors de tes voyages precedents.
Il y a des hopitaux francais a hanoi ou HCM ou tu seras bien prise en charge si probleme il y avait!
Par ailleurs, 4 mois de grossesse, cela me semble la periode ideale pour partir, les risques et soucis du 1 er trimestre sont passés, et les pb du troisieme encore loin.
Le Vietnam n'est pas un pays perdu au bout du monde et ravitaillé par les corbeaux - les hôpitaux français (je ne connais que celui d'Hanoi) sont aussi bien organisés qu'en Europe - et il n'y a pas qu'eux - à Hanoi justement il y a aussi l'hôpital Bach Mai où un grand nombre de médecins parle toutes les langues ou presque et où les soins sont au moins aussi bons que chez nous. - Je vous dis ça pour vous rasséréner car vous ne leur rendrez certainement pas visite .....😉
Partez en toute confiance, n'allez bien sûr pas boire n'importe quelle eau n'importe où, sinon vous retrouverez la turista chinoise..... - de surcroit la nourriture vietnamienne est plutôt diététique... les moustiques ne pullulent pas là où vous allez et prenez quand même une bombe pour la peau et une pour vos vêtements, et vous passerez de très bonnes vacances.
Les médecins que vous avez consultés sont alarmistes car pas au courant de la situation au Vietnam - Prenez plutôt des renseignements à l'hôpital des maladies tropicales qui saura mieux vous dire que faire ou ne pas faire, compte tenu de votre état.

Ah ah ah, la bonne blague 😏😏😏 C est une horreur cet hopital. N y allez pas le vendredi pour une urgence, ils sont partis en week end golf. Beaucoup de medecins viennent en mission de quelques mois, ils pensent plus a prendre du plaisir dans la capitale qu a faire leur travail. Beaucoup d incompetence dans cet hopital. C est connu.
N est ce pas dans celui ci qu en 2003 le Sras s est developpe ? Faute a des negligences caracterisees.

Je me demanderai toujours pourquoi, simplement pour créer des polémiques, d'ailleurs plus particulièrement avec moi, vous énumérez pas mal de sottises - Ca marque, c'est original, mais il faut quand même mettre les choses au point :
- TOUS les médecins partent de l'hôpital où ils travaillent quand c'est le week-end - j'en parle en connaissance de cause, ici en France, où l'hôpital pourtant réputé se vide le vendredi midi jusqu'au lundi après-midi.... c'est comme ça qu'on en ressort, même dans un état pitoyable les malades, qu'on les réenvoie en ambulance et qu'ils reviennent le lundi - j'en parle en toute connaissance de cause, c'est un cas vécu personnel..... et qui s'est étalé sur des semaines... donc on n'a rien à diire.
Le SRAS en 2003, j'y étais 😉 Donc difficile de noircir par le temps passé un fait qui est erroné : il y a bien eu en décembre 2003 une épidémie qui s'est déclarée et qui a duré sur 2004 - il est vrai aussi qu'un médecin de grande valeur a été hospitalisé dans l'hôpital français d'Hanoi, il est vrai que rapatrié en France, on n'a pas pu le sauver..... mais ne brodez pas : l'hopital n'était nullement responsable du début de l'épidémie qui, d'ailleurs, venait de Chine.
Je vais régulièrement dans cet hôpital lors de mes séjours, il est plus que propre... et j'ai rarement vu un endroit médicalisé où on fait si bien les prises de sang.... on irait presque pour le plaisir tant on ne sent rien.... -

bonjour à vous tous, je vioulais vous remercier pour l'attention que vous avez porte a mon message et je pense que je vais suivre ma premiere envie qui est de partir, bien sur, je ne boirais ni eau, ni glaçon, ni nourriture dans la rue et je vais me tartiner de creme anti moustique autorisees aux femmes enceintes. par contre, pensez vous que la route pour aller de hanoi à hue tourne bcp trop pour moi? vu, que j'organise tt je vous avoue que je choisi aussi et là il n'y aura aucune negoce avec mon homme.

Je n'ai fait qu'une petite partie de la route qui va d'Hanoi à Hué, généralement on fait ce trajet en train (partir le soir vers 19/20 h arrivée à Hué le matin tôt, vers les 7 heures si je me souviens bien) -
Pour revenir à la route, je ne saurais trop vous la conseiller : elle n'est pas bonne, en tant que revêtement, elle est "secouante" - vous la feriez comment ? en voiture privée ou en sleeping bus ? - dans ce deuxième cas, la manière de conduire des chauffeurs n'est peut-être pas adaptée à votre état... je souhaite que vous ayez des avis peut-être plus récents que le mien... mais méfiez-vous quand même : ce n'est pas un long fleuve tranquille ce trajet..

PS - vous avez raison dans vos précautions : mais les glaçons au Vietnam (à moins d'aller les "savourer" au fin fond d'une compagne) ils sont faits avec de l'eau bouillie - j'ai suffisamment vécu là-bas pour vous dire que, fragile comme je suis...🤪 je n'ai jamais été malade avec l'eau en bouteille, les glaçons, ni les restau de rue... quoique disent les mauvaises langues.... -

Il faudrait que vous rencontriez le Dr Lenoir, pediatre a Angers, present au moment ou le Sras s est declare a l hopital francais de Hanoi. 5 membres de l equipe medical sont decedes suite a une mauvaise gestion du risque, des rapports accablants ont ete faits dans ce sens.

La blague. C est vrai qu un samedi soir, le jour le plus accidentogene de la semaine, il n y a aucun medecin dans les hopitaux, c est bien connu.
C est vrai que la prise de sang est l acte medical qui necessite le plus de materiel medicalise 😕
Vous qui venez en VACANCES au Vietnam votre regard est tres different de ceux qui y VIVENT, ces derniers ont l experience du pays ils la vivent tous les jours, en prise directe. Tres loin du quartier touristique style carte postale de Dinh Let.
Je vous conseille vivement de faire ce trajet en avion. Nous partons en juillet cette année et nous prenons l'avion, franchement ce n'est vraiment pas cher et surtout très rapide 1h10 à peine et normalement beaucoup plus sûr! Mon frère a fait ce trajet à la mi janvier cette année, en bus de nuit, et le chauffeur a fait un frontal avec un autre véhicule, heureusement mon frère et sa copine n'avaient que bleus et bosses et une fameuse frayeur, d'autres par contre c'était plus grave. Alors franchement pour quelques euros en plus.....et en etant enceinte, facilitez vous les trajets à la place de vous épuiser dans des conditions plus 'routard'.
le 2e trimestre est le moins dangereux pour voyager.mais pendant toute la grossesse, pas de traitement anti palu et certains répulsifs anti moustiques sont déconseillés pendant la grossesse vérifier bien sur la notice.
indispensable: les bas de contention durant le voyage en avion, bien s'hydrater
faites très attention au niveau alimentaire.
à vérifer aussi: votre assurance en cas de soins. certaines ne prennent pas en charge les complications de la grossesse.
attention d'adapter votre activité à votre état et surtt que tous les participants soient d'accord pour modifier au dernier moment le voyage. par exemple si la randonnée provoque des contractions et que vous devez lever le pied sur vos activités...
emporter avec vous une copie de votre dossier de maternité (prise de sang, carte de groupe, échographie)
prenez rdv avec le médecin qui suit votre grossesse avant de partir pour vérifier que tout va bien. il pourra vous faire une ordonnance des quelques rares médicaments autorisés pendant la grossesse.
si tout est ok avant de partir, il n'y a pas de raison que ça change.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

After those 6 months, is it possible (instead of bothering a relative to send the medication) to see a foreign doctor to get another 6-month travel authorization? How does it work at the airport? We, as parents, have been through it in Egypt with pretty bad cases, but we’d really like to avoid that for our daughter.
