Je suis affecté à Libreville le 1er septembre prochain et, tout ce que j'ai pu lire sur les coûts des loyers n'est pas pour me rassurer.
J'aimerais bien avoir un avis impartial sur cette charge obligatoire, pour un appartement de deux chambres dans un quartier de bon aloi.

effectivement le coût des loyers est très élevé à Libreville, et pire encore à POG.
Dans un quartier correct (Glass, Nombakélé, Montagne sainte etc) on peut trouver un deux chambres sécurisé pour environ 250 000 F, ce ne sera pas du grand luxe et les peintures sont parfois à refaire mais c'est souvent pas mal, encore faut-il trouver....c'est bien ca le plus compliqué!

oui j'habite au gabon depuis 5 ans maintenant et je suis dispo pour répondre à vos questions....je me remémore mon arrivée ici donc je comprends très bien que tout un tas de questions se posent au fur et à mesure des préparatifs lol!
Quelqu'un qui est sur place depuis 5 ans et plus ne peut qu'aimer le pays et être de bon conseil.
Je vais donc commencer le staccato de questions par une question à tiroirs. une vraie commode cette question. ( Le jeu de mot n'est pas fortuit).
Est-il opportun de faire venir un déménagement et, si oui, que dois-je apporter ? (Pour info, j'ai droit à 1300 kgs ou à une indemnité dont je ne connais pas encore le montant.)
Vaisselle, meubles, appareils electro-ménagers, cd, outillage, livres, etc.
Existe-t-il un ADSL et si oui à quel débit ? Cela prend-il longtemps pour l'obtenir ? J'apporte, évidemment ma "bécane" un ordi portable confortable et de bon aloi.
Je stoppe ici le premier jet. J'aurai des questions sur :
- Automobile,
- Maison,
- Loisirs,
alors pour le déménagement....perso moi je n'ai ps fait venir grand chose puisque je ne suis venue qu'avec mes valises lol. donc...ici on trouve tout mais en plus cher si c'est importé, c'est le cas des meubles par exemple. on peu toujours les faire fabriquer sur place aussi, il suffit de trouver un super ébeniste, et y'en a, et les faire faire avec du bois local (mais attention aux tarifs "blancs"!), ou encore si on est pas trop difficile, les faire faire en bambou, ca coute bien moins cher. Mais cela dépend des gouts de chacun...
donc ave 1300 kgs l'idéal serait de faire vebnir au moins l'électroménager qui est assez cher ici + tv + divers outillages. la vaisselle se trouve à bas prix, sauf poêles et casseroles qu'il serait préférable d'apporter aussi et les livres bien entendu parce qu'ici peu de bonnes librairies (une seule digne de ce nom à ma connaissance, et encore, faut commander la plupart des titres). personellement je fais le plein quand je vais en france...
ouil il existe adsl, soit en réseau filaire (via fibre optique, gabon télécom), soit en wifi . c'est assez cher et moi je suis plutot satisfaite du réseau filaire gabon télécom. je ne connais rien aux histoires de débit (loool), désolée, tout ce que je peux en dire c'est que c'est très équivalent à ce que j'ai en france, quand le cable sous marin n'est pas coupé bien entendu (ca arrive pas souvent mais au moins une fois par an = 1 semaine de coupure internet à chaque fois...)
le soucis avec gabon télécolm c'est l'obtention d'une ligne de téléphonie fixe, qui peut prendre pas mal de temps (2 semaines à plusieurs mois....) donc il faut être "derrière eux" pour que ca avance!
je peux déjà avancer deux ou trois trucs sur les autres sujets, à compléter au gré de tes demandes...:
- automobile : si possible, faire venir un véhicule de france ou, mieux, de belgique....les droits de douane sont très élevés mais ce sera toujours moins cher que d'en acheter un sur place. si possible, pas de marque "compliquée"...: préférer du toyota, hyndai, peugeot etc. pour les pièces et l'entretien moins couteux.

Quant aux meubles, hum, j'aime bien le bambou, notamment pour une salle à manger, C'est vrai et tellement exotique. Je ne pense même pas aux prix. En revanche je pense que je vais faire venir la literie. Je suis rassuré pour l'adsl, hormis les coupures maritime. Mon fils reste en France et je pourrai correspondre avec lui régulièrement. Bien sûr il y a les sms mais je ne comprends pas ce qu'il m'écrit, sauf à lire à voix haute et c'est assez cocasse. Il rentre en fac en septembre.
Je vois que tu emploies le tutoiement, je fais de même, c'est plus simple, même pour les conjugaisons lol... Je vois aussi ( on m'appelel monsieur soleil) que, apparemment, tu aimes lire, pour ma part, j'emploierai une litote : je ne déteste pas...
Questions en vrac :
- pour la cuisinière, électrique ou à gaz ?
- Ordinateur, fixe ou portable ?
- Réfrigérateur, avec un grand compartiment congélateur ?
- Etant seul je ne pense pas acheter une machine à laver la vaisselle,
- En ce qui concerne le linge, faut-il un sèche linge ?

pour le tutoiement, je ne t'ai pas demandé ton avis, désolée pour cet oubli....on est tout de suite plus à l'aise sur le net à vrai dire!
je travaille dans une ambassade, car effectivement il faut bien travailler, et je le fais avec plaisir
pour les meubles en bambous effectivement c'est très joli et on peut tout faire sur mesure ici, ca c'est top! de la salle à manger, au salon en passant par la chambre à coucher, tout est possible et très joli. il faut juste trouver quelqu'un de fiable, je te conseille d'ores et déjà un petit clan d'ivoirien qui fait cela très bien au quartier Glass, face à la station service Oil Lybia....(pas d'adresse au Gabon c'est assez pénible ...). et surtout ne pas hésitez à négocier les prix
alors pour les questions :
- gazinière : gaz car le coût de l'électricité est très élevé, d'autant qu'il y a de nombreuses coupures. Une bouteile de gaz coûte environ 10 euros (le double pour le premier achat)
- ordinateur, je suggère portable, pour la commodité de transport.
- réfrigérateur avec un très grand compartiment congélo, c'est plus pratique. perso, je mets toute la viande dans le congélo
- le lave vaisselle effectivment est vraiment du luxe ici, d'autant que l'on peut aisément employer une "ménagère" à moindre coût
- on peut très bien se passer du sèche linge si tu as un espace pour faire sécher le linge (balcon ou jardin). le linge sèche très vite ici.

J'ai vu les réponses de LBV 20 et le coût du loyer me parait faible . Pour avoir qq chose de correct, dans un quartier et immeuble correct, il faut compter à minima 500 - 600 000 FCFA . Au vu de tes questions tu me sembles novice en expatriation donc aller ds un quartier comme NOMBAKELE ne me parait pas être un bon plan.
Dans tous les cas, il faudra que tu prévoies un séjour plus ou moins long à l'hotel pour trouver un logement. Pour le prix des voitures, si tu as le temps importe ta voiture mais que feras tu en attendant le véhicule (taxi, ??pas top ) Pour info une 307 de 1 an coûte env 7 - 8 000 000 FCFA mais on peut certainement trouver des logan moins cher

Je pars le 26 août prochain et j’ai une chambre réservée au mess Pompidou en attendant de m’assurer le logement.
Quant à la voiture j’en ai trouvé une d’occase.
