Rq : j'avais ce genre de formulaire en Irlande ou je suis resté 15 mois et c'etait super. Vu que l'Australie ne fait pas partie de l'UE, commence ca se passe ? Dois-je demander une responsabilité civile à mon assureur si je viens à blesser quelqu'un la bas ? (un accident est vite arrivé en surf ou autre...) si j'achete une voiture la-bas, comment faire pour l'assurer ? Je compte bien evidemment travailler en Australie. Qui va me couvrir quand je travaillerai ? l'employeur ?
En bref, quelles pièces faut il avoir en sa possession pour aller la bas en toute sécurité ?

Concernant la question de l'assurance santé
En cas d'hospitalisation ou de maladie, le voyageur doit être en mesure de payer les frais médicaux afférents. Comme il n'existe pas d'accord bilatéral entre la France et l'Australie dans le domaine de la couverture sociale, il est fortement conseillé au voyageur de se munir d'une assurance qui couvre les soins médicaux, les frais d'hospitalisation, d'ambulance et de rapatriement sanitaire ainsi que les litiges en cas d'accidents.
Ca me rassure et en parallèle j'ai trouvé une sorte d'assurance pour l'Australie qui coûte 180euros par trimestre (que je prendrai au début et uniquement pendant les périodes non travaillées en Australie car comme tu le soulignes, en cas d'ambauche le work cover est la pour subvenir en cas de besoin)
Je vais d'ailleurs copier le lien pour cette assurance très prochainement, ca pourra servir 🙂

L'assurance internationale est obligatoire avec le WHV, on est suceptible de te la demander à la douane.
Tu as une liste d'assureurs spécialisés cités plus haut dans le post.
Je te conseille de ne pas négliger cet aspect, les galères, ça n'arrive pas qu'aux autres...
Tu dois justifier en effet de 3000 euros.

Salut, en fait, je ne peux répondre à ta question. Cependant, je voudrais partir en Australie pendant l'été 2007 avec le Working Holiday Visa. Je suis en 3e année de médecine et c'est mes dernières vraies vacances (3 mois) donc je voudrais en profiter pour apprendre à parler anglais couramment.
Est-ce facile d'obtenir un Working Holiday Visa ? Parles-tu couramment l'anglais ? Pour combien de temps pars-tu ? Qu'as-tu demandé de plus ? Combien de temps pars-tu et que comptes-tu faire comme job ?

On pense, avec mon ami, prendre une carte visa premier pour partir sachant que les assurances de Mondial Assistance sont incluses avec la carte. Ca coûte 14€ par mois, est-ce bien le mm type d'assurance dont tu parles ?

de mon côté j'ai souscrit une assurance spécialement dédiée aux visa working holiday, qui couvre donc aussi pendant le travail: Cap working holiday (avec AVA). Je l'ai souscrite auprès de chapka assurances.
je l'ai choisi car les frais médicaux sont remboursés jusqu'à 1 000 000 d'euros et sans franchise! et directement, sans intervention de la sécu australienne OSCH. ya aussi de la responsabilité civile et l'assurance bagages.
Cà me semble très complet, surtout que la plupart des sports sont couverts en cas d'accident, sans supplément (comme le surf ou la plongée).

Je viens de me renseigner auprès de mon assurance (la macif) en expliquant que je partais en whv et apparemment là-bas il suffit d'avoir un contrat chez eux n'importe lequel, un simple contrat de responsabilité civile suffit pour bénéficier de l'assistance internationale que j'ai contacté également et qui m'ont confirmé en me précisant juste qu'il ne couvraient pas les accidents sur les activités aériennes du style parachute, deltaplane.... Donc en gros je m'en sors pour 140€ pour l'année !!!! Ca fait vraiment pas cher donc je me demande si ça suffit vraiment ? Si quelqu'un connait leur système et peut me rassurer merci d'avance.
