Je suis un amateur de paella et j ai lu pas mal de chose sur les restaurants qui la propose , ( pas tjs bien) alors si vs avez une bonne adresse je suis preneur , meme si il s agit d une petite brasserie perdu au contraire .

la paella, c'est plutôt à Valence qu'elles sont bonnes et c'est fort logique. 😛
Mais tu trouveras bon nombre de restos pour en proposer à Barcelone, surtout à la Barceloneta, sur la plage. Il y a du bon, et du nettement moins bon...
Je te suggère de faire comme nous et d'aller voir sur lafourchette, site très bon à connaître en France mais qui marche aussi en Espagne et ailleurs. Tu trouveras des commentaires des clients sur les restos qui te permettront de te faire un avis assez juste avant de t'y rendre (ou pas !), et même de profiter de sérieuses réductions sur le prix des repas (jusqu'à 50 % sur la carte dans certains, en général hors boissons).
C'est comme ça que nous avons très bien mangé à Barcelone pour moins de 30 € le repas en général, à deux. Nous n'avons mangé de la paella qu'une fois au Sal cafe (clic !), pas mauvaise du tout mais ce n'était quand même pas la meilleure (comparativement à ce que nous avons goûté à Valence qui était excellent...). Si tu y vas, sache que le resto donne directement sur la plage et non sur la rue (il est sous la rue), nous avons eu du mal à le trouver car ce n'était pas précisé !

Nous revenons d'un 2° séjour à Barcelone qui nous enchante toujours autant. Nous avons découvert un petit restaurant, récent, d'un excellent rapport qualité/prix et d'un accueil fort sympa. Il s'agit du Bar-Restaurant J & R situé 21 Av. Paral-lel (derrière Musée Maritime). Quelques tables, quelques plats. Ici, pas d'assiettes pleines à ras bord d'une paëlla garnie principalement de riz, pas de frites en quantité, pas de plats classiques mais plutôt une cuisine inventive avec des associations surprenantes, délicieuses et raffinées. Par exemple, nous avions pris : ananas - fruité, juteux et sucré - accompagné de jambon séché, puis dés de morue avec ratatouille. En dessert, une crème à l'orange se situant entre la consistance de la gelée et la marmelade, vraiment exquise. Propose un menu du jour (1er plat + 2° plat + dessert + pain + boisson) pour 9 euros. Dommage que nous l'ayons découvert seulement le dernier jour !

Si après avoir réservé un resto à (par ex.) -40% sur la carte, on se rend compte sur place qu'un menu pas cher nous convient mieux, ou qu'un plat nous suffit parce qu'on a pas si faim, on prend ce qu'on veut, rien n'oblige à bénéficier de la réduction qui impose de prendre au moins une entrée et un plat, ou un plat et un dessert...

Il y a une adresse top à Barcelone pour manger de très très bonnes tapas et des raciones de fruits de mer : la cerveceria catalana.
C'est pas donné pour des tapas, et il y a souvent de l'attente, mais ça vaut le coup... C'est une véritable institution barcelonaise. ça se trouve Carrer de Mallorca.
j'ai un très bon souvenir aussi, mais là dans la catégorie plus cher, d'excellentes poissons et fruits de mer avec vue plage chez Can Majo à Barcelonnette. La mariscada vaut vraiment le détour.

Clicsouris je suis inscrite sur La Fourchette depuis quelques années.
J'en suis globalement satisfaite. Je trouve cependant qu'ils rechignent à afficher les commentaires les moins flatteurs (je suis obligée de les contacter pour savoir ce qu'il advient de mon avis et ils s'excusent plus ou moins de traiter les demandes avec retard... par ailleurs j'ai reçu des sms directement de certains restaurateurs, sans rapport avec une quelconque réservation et j'ai trouvé ça un peu pénible. Bref, un bon site mais qui reste perfectible).
Par contre en voulant télécharger l'appli, j'ai vu des avis assez critiques et puis les autorisations demandées étaient assez délirantes et intrusives, donc j'ai préféré ne pas prendre l'appli au final.
Je me contenterai, si besoin est, de me mettre en WiFi et d'aller sur le site mobile pour réserver.

J'avoue mettre surtout de bons commentaires car au final tout se passe bien, le moins bonne note que j'ai du mettre c'était 6, et elle est bien apparue.
On ne choisit pas au hasard, et un resto avec une note moyenne (en dessous de 7, mais même 7 c'est déjà très moyen) on évite. Il y a les commentaires sur TripAdvisor aussi.

Xaloç 13 Carrer de la Palla, excellents tapas (testé dimanche soir, très très bon). Prix pas délirants au regard de la qualité des mets servis.
La Granja, salon de thé avec du vrai thé en feuilles ! et du vrai café, 4 Carrer Del Banys Nous.
juste à côté il y a une churraterria qui vend des churros glacés au chocolat noir 🙂😛.
Hier matin (lundi) nous avons fait une halte au Giovanni, petit salon 6 Plaça del Pi, là aussi très bon thé et très bon café.
J'ai déploré le fait que la Rambla fasse la part belle à la malbouffe - KFC en face du McDo - ou à des usines à tapas pas super (I Tapas).
Je voulais juste signaler ce qui me paraît une arnaque : le chocolat Vicens.
Il y a plusieurs magasins dans la ville. Ils font volontiers goûter leurs turrons, très bons... mais refusent de faire goûter leurs chocolats.

J'ai acheté une plaque de chocolat au lait avec des amandes, rassurée par la mention artisanale.
C'est dégueulasse !! Et je pèse mes mots! On dirait le vieux chocolat 1er prix vendu par tablettes de 5 en sachets transparents, dans les années 70.

J'ai oublié de parler du Mercato Boqueria (fermé le dimanche, eh oui, un peu incongru pour un marché mais on s'est bien cassé le nez dimanche midi).
Plein de bonnes choses, à manger sur le pouce... notamment des petits cornets avec du jambon ibérique, ou des fruits de mer en beignets (demandez à faire réchauffer dans ce cas).
Jus de fruits sympa mais gare à la composition!! On a vu pas mal de stands qui rajoutaient sans vergogne des colorants.
voici les fameux churros de la churrateria rue Banyls Nou, pas loin du salon de thé La Granja dans le quartier gothique... snif c'est bien loin tout ça !

On a fait "Valor" sur le côté de la cathédrale où les churros sont immenses aussi. Avec deux chacun on en pouvait plus, on voyait un couple de retraités à côté qui en avaient pris 6 chacun et deux énormes tasses de chocolat, je sais pas comment ils faisaient 😛

Pareil, on en prend deux chacun maxi, plus je peux pas ! On était halluciné ! Et c'était pas les seuls à en manger plein 😮
Mais en Italie dans un genre un peu différent on voyait pas mal de gens prendre antipasti pâtes plats desserts... nous une entrée à deux, un plat et un dessert à deux souvent ça nous suffit 😛
Bonjour Gil72, Barcelone reste globalement une ville chère... En mars dernier, il fallait mettre au bas mot 20 à 25€ par personne pour un repas du soir, le midi on arrivait à s'en tirer pour 10/12€ pour manger sur le pouce.
A la Boqueira les petits cornets de crevettes et cie sont à 5€ il me semble et 2€ pour les boissons aux fruits.
Les beaux churros au chocolat, il me semble que c'était environ 2€ le cornet.
Un thé dans le petit salon de thé a dû me coûter maximum 3€.
"Cher" c'est relatif, mais on peut manger pour moins que ça à Barcelone en fouinant et en évitant trop les zones touristiques...
Déjà regardez sur le site Eltenedor.es (lafourchette) qui propose des réductions pour les restaurants. En janvier dernier nous n'avons mangé que comme ça, à Paris on sort grâce à ce système (car sinon c'est pas donné, moins qu'à Barcelone) et c'est très pratique !

We’re planning a short trip at the end of July to explore the legendary mountains and valleys of the Bernese Oberland: round trip from Nancy (Swiss highway vignette planned), 2 nights in a room with a small kitchen in Adelboden, then 2 nights in a hotel at the Gletscherblick in Grindelwald, both with half-board included.
Could you share some tips on the best road routes to take, as well as some walking hikes (we’re not as fit as we used to be, so nothing longer than 2-3 hours)? Maybe also 1 or 2 cable car rides—I was thinking of Oeschinensee Lake above Kandersteg and the First gondola above Grindelwald for better panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau... all while keeping it doable with our schedule. We’ve ruled out the "premium" trip up to the Jungfraujoch for this time.
I’m also guessing that paying to access Wengen or Mürren only makes sense if we’re staying there for a few days, right?

I visited the Faroe Islands in late March 2026 for about ten days. I was invited by a friend who lives near Tórshavn, so I don’t have any info on tourist accommodations or car rentals. Still, I’d like to share a few thoughts about my trip:
- Before leaving, I consulted travel guides and blogs. I was surprised by how repetitive and unoriginal the featured sites were. This leads hurried travelers to follow the same overcrowded routes, which can annoy locals. I found that all Faroese villages were interesting—they reflect the country’s identity, even without the iconic grass-roofed houses. Those are indeed harmonious and beautiful, but they feel like an exotic cliché. For activities, I loved the lively ports that keep the country running.
- I was annoyed by the paid trails in tourist spots. Locals explained that these paths cross private land, and owners are responsible for maintenance and safety. There are plenty of free trails, too—signs at the start detail their features. While not alarmist, the extreme and unpredictable weather is a key factor to consider before setting out.
- The wind’s strength really impressed me. The architecture, with doors and windows opening outward to prevent gusts from blowing roofs off, speaks to the harsh climate. Some days, relentless rain and squalls made going outside unappealing. I realized that in this country, it’s best to plan for flexible indoor days.
- Distances are relatively short. I was happy to be based near Tórshavn because it was easy to explore one or more places in a day. The roads are in great condition. In late March, diesel was 2 €. Tunnel tolls can add up (~26 € per crossing), making a fixed base less practical than I’d thought.
- Everyone agrees: the landscapes are breathtaking. Nature feels untamed here—except for the short grass, thanks to all the woolly sheep.
- The flight from Paris to the Faroe Islands (and back) was long in March—11 hours with three legs: Paris-Amsterdam, Amsterdam-Copenhagen, Copenhagen-Vágar. In bad weather, Vágar Airport can close, causing delays. During tourist season, Atlantic Airways offers a direct Paris-Faroe Islands flight, which is more comfortable and cheaper.
- I found a book recommendation in a guide that fascinated me after my trip: *Les collectionneurs d'images* by Joanes Nielsen. Through its sometimes caricatured characters, it offers a glimpse into Faroese mentalities from the 1950s to 1970s—attitudes that likely persist today.
In conclusion, I’ve traveled a lot and I’m tired of destinations that all start to look the same. The Faroe Islands were a delight—a country stunning in its landscape, climate, and culture, where tourism has barely altered its authenticity.

We’re heading to Bavaria from May 13 to 23, with a side trip to Austria.
Here’s our itinerary:
Day 1: Brussels-Munich
Day 2: Munich
Day 3: Munich and departure for Salzburg
We’ll be staying three nights in Salzburg.
Then we’ll head to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where we’ll stay for five nights.
Visiting Munich and Salzburg isn’t too tricky.
Once in Garmisch, we’re planning a day in Innsbruck, a day for Neuschwanstein Castle, and the rest is still up in the air.
What’s really got me stumped is that we’d love to see Königssee Lake—everyone says it’s a must-see.
We’d also like to visit the Eagle’s Nest (Kehlsteinhaus), where the landscapes are supposedly stunning.
This would either be a round trip while we’re in Salzburg or on the way between Salzburg and Garmisch, but I’m guessing it’s impossible to do the drive from Salzburg to Garmisch, the Eagle’s Nest, *and* Königssee Lake all in one day.
Plus, the Alpine route between Salzburg and Garmisch seems prettier than the highway.
But honestly, I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with the planning.
We should’ve added a stop between Salzburg and Garmisch, but the hotels are already booked.

We’re planning a trip to Finland and Norway this summer, starting in Oulu to explore Lapland, heading up to the North Cape, and then making our way down to Bergen.

I’ll be traveling alone with my two adult children. We want to prioritize outdoor walks, avoid too many indoor visits (both for budget and preference), and not spend too much time on the road.
D1: Arrival at 9 AM in Malaga, day in Malaga and overnight stay
D2: Head straight to Nerja (1-hour drive) and spend the night there
D3: Head straight to Granada (1.5-hour drive), spend the day and night there
D4: Granada. Visit the Alhambra (Nasrid Palaces tour at 5 PM) and spend the night
D5: Head to Ronda (2.5-hour drive) and spend the night
D6: White Villages and overnight in Ronda
D7: Head straight to the Costa del Sol (e.g., Estepona), spend the day and night there
D8: Return to Malaga to catch our flight
There you go! This itinerary takes into account that we’d like to do a circuit starting from Seville in a few years. That said, it’d be a shame to miss something doable from Malaga.
Questions:
Since the Alhambra visit is only at 5 PM, and we’d already have the day to explore Granada, would arriving the day before be a mistake? Or should we skip this day and dedicate it elsewhere (Costa del Sol? Head toward Tabernas?)? The old town appeals to me, but maybe the Sacromonte neighborhood isn’t essential...
Same question for Ronda: should we dedicate a full day to it, or combine Ronda and the White Villages in one day?
Note that we love wandering around villages outside, so that might answer my question! :)
Final question: Is it better to rent the car at Malaga Airport or in the city? If we rent at the airport, we’d need a hotel with parking, which doesn’t seem easy. Or stay outside the city and park for free near the center if possible? I’ve read comments about taking a taxi to Malaga and then picking up the rental car at the airport the next morning. The taxi would really need to be affordable...
