Je ne connais aucune ville dans cette partie du Canada, c'est pour cette raison que j'ai besoin de vous tous pour me guider.

ps: on m a dit qu en Alberta, il etait facile de trouver un travail tres bien payé...

Moi aussi j'ai un peu fait ca...G quitte Quebec pr...Fredericton.C'est ds le Nveau Brunswick (ben oui, c anglophone, y'a pas que des acadiens) Moi j'avais choisis pour leboulot et non pour la ville (euh je croit que tu avais compris). Et dc je peux pas te dire ou aller mais je peux te die une chose...Ne viens pas ici. Je regrette pas completement mon travail est super et je fais des progres en anglais mais bon...

Les prairires sont un coin plutôt redneck et il peut être difficile de s'y faire comprendre en français ... pour ce qui est de l'emploi, l'économie roule à plein régime dès que le sol gèle car l'économie suit les raffineries de pétrole. J'y étais en octobre et comme le sol n'était pas gelé, les emplois se faisaient rare. 🙂
Si tu recherche un emploi assez payant et bien il y a la ceuillette des fruit à partir de Juin ....
C'est une tradition au québec, chaque été les jeunes quittent le québec pour aller ceuillir des fruits au BC ... par contre, étant donné le nombre de québecois, tu ne pratiqueras pas vraiment ton anglais ;)
Ben en fait, c tres petit et tres americain. Ts les inconvenients de la ville et de la campagne reunit. Pas de vrai centre ville, juste de grande rues avec maisons et jardins, meme en centre ville. Mais en meme temps, pas moyen de trouver un espace vide pas tres loin. Y'aura tjrs une maison plantee au milieu...Enfin bref, une ville americaine de 40 000 habitants quoi.
Moi qui avait toujours rit car tout les gens que j'avais rencontre me disaient que quebec city etait tres europeen...finalement je comprends pkoi!!Enfin suis la que pr six mois dc c pas bien grave. Pis le boulot est cool, c deja ca ;)

C'est sur que si tu veux pratiquer ton anglais ce sera possible, pour les autre boulots je ne sais pas ca devient un peu plus complexe ... l'avantage de la ceuillette de fruit est que pour l'hébergement tu peux généralement camper pour un prix modique si ce n'est pas inclus avec le travail ...
pour l'hébergement tu peux vérifier les auberges jeunesse, il y a des dortoir et des chambres, ils offrent les commodités (douche, cuisine ...) et on y fait des rencontres très très intéressante. Il y par contre une limite de temps, je crois que le maximum est 3 semaines (à vérifier...)
pour le transport et bien tu as le choix, le moins couteux reste l'auto-stop (faire du pouce) :)
sinon sur les forums tu peux sans doute trouver des gens avec qui co-voiturer .... et la derniere possibilité l'autobus Greyhound (greyhound.ca)

comme j'ai dis au debut, j'ai pas vraiment de ville choisie pour le moment.

Edmonton j'y ai passé 4 ou 5 jours cet automne, je résidais justement à l'auberge jeunesse. Edmonton peut être pratique pour l'anglais, l'hiver l'économie roule à plein régime. Quand j'y étais en octobre, le sol n'était pas gelé alors les raffineries de pétrole ne fonctionnait pas, ce qui cause un récession (c'est ce que les gens de là-bas m'ont expliqué).
Par contre, le paysage d'Edmonton est on-ne-peut-plus moche :P
En plus d'être dans les prairires, la ville à le teint gris ...
J'y avais rencontré quelques québecois qui y étaient pour travailler, il y a le West Edmonton Mall qui peut être une bonne place pour travailler (les offres sont sur le site web) sinon il y a 2 ou 3 casinos dans la ville. Pour un revenue de plus tu peux peut-être travailler à l'auberge jeunesse.
Bref, tout dépend de ce que tu recherches ... tu peux aussi passer quelque temps à Edmonton en attendant la récolte des fruits au BC ... car tu ne dois pas manquer le paysage de l'ouest ;)

j'ai des amis qui vives a vancouver et qu.il m'on renseigner beaucoup parce que moi aussi je compte partir au printemps pour calgary.
pas de probleme si tu a de la difficulter avec ton anglais il sont tres compréhensif et il vont t'aider a améliorer ton anglais.
de 2...si tu est qualifier dans un emplois....pas de probleme.....il n'on pas beaucoup de main-d'oeuvre qualifier par la...donc...il en cherche beaucoup..
1-alberta c'est beaucoup le pétrole et tout ceux ici qui y sont allez vont te le dire.
2-calgary est plus axé construction.
3-banff-plus touristique(donc les hotels, etc) et a banff il on aussi souvent les accomodation de staff.
a vancouver c'est mélanger....oui pour la ceuillette des fruit..l'hivers est moin rude aussi.....dans les -3 max en hivers...et a vancouver ya de tout...construction..les hotels.(tofino est touristique--plage etc..magnifique comme endroit tofino)...et ce que mes amis me disais....il y a une main d'oeuvre non qualifier et il gagne un tres bon salair..imagine si toi tu l'est.......mais pour le travaille..pas de probleme..il manque beaucoup de main-d'oeuvre dans l'ouest....et pour apprendre l'anglais...c'est la place ideal....et...si sa peut t'aider..il a quand même une comunauter de 26, 000 francophone en alberta....donc...ca aide beaucoup.
il y a même un bureau pour aider les francophone a calgary et en alberta aussi pour ceux qui se cherche un emplois.
moi j'y vais....et je débarque en alberta....je verrais apres si j'y reste ou que je me sauve a vancouver.
et en passant....pour le moyen de transport...si tu veux des référence...greyhound y va......(si tu achete tes billet 14 jour a l'avance et paye moitier prix.....si je me souvient bien....allez retour c'est 300 a 340$ environ...sinon pour allez c'est 135$ sans les taxe)et aussi sur le forum ici des gens qui recherche le co-voiturage--pour payer les dépense a 2 pour allez dans l'ouest....regarde ca de plus pres...

C'est drôle mais personne ne parle de la difficulté de se trouver un apart à bas prix. Oui, l'économie marche on ne peux plus mieux mais les loyers sont hors de prix (mais les salaires sont hauts). Un apart 2 chambres dans Calgary peut aller jusqu'a 1500$/mois. Essaye d'établir des contacts dans l'ouest avant de t'y rendre.
la dessus tu a raison...c'est tres cher comme appartement a calgary!
et c'est comme montreal si tu veux un appartement sur le plateau mont-royal c'est sensiblement le même prix.
faut éviter le centre ville sinon tu paye le plein prix.
j'ai fouiller pas mal..et j'ai trouver des logement pas mal moin cher a edmonton.
pour calgary j'ai pas trouver beaucoup.
peut etre en banlieux de la ville.
mais je sais que quand tu veux un emplois je sais qu'il offre de l'aide pour te loger pour pas trop cher.

Ma soeur est parti a Okotoks une ville pres de calgary en alberta sur un trip en juin derniers et elle avait presque pas un sous,
Elle est la bas depuis se temp et elle adore sa donc moi et mon copain on part d'ici mai pour les rejoindre.
La-bas c'est les gens qui te proposes des travail ma soeur elle ne cherchais meme pas encore et elle a du choisir entre quelque travail car il en pleuvait. Avant elle parlais pas anglais sauf quand elle était obligé et maintenant elle est presque bilingue. Pour le fun y'en a en masse pour tout le monde car la-bas tout le monde est sociable meme les gens qui en on pas l'air.

Si tu trouve un vrai Canadian a Toronto, t'es bon! c'est beaucoup d'immigrés, personnes n'aident personnes, c'est froid comme ville(je ne parle pas de temperature la!).
Je suis une Québecoise qui est déménagé a Welland ( 1 hre de Toronto, 15 mtes de Niagara) pour venir apprendre mon anglais; 50% de la ville est francophone, donc je ne suis pas trop dépaysé.
Je te souhaite bonne chance quand meme, pour y vivre seulement 6 mois, Toronto peut etre un bon chois et se tu viens visiter les chutes Niagara, laisse moi le savoir, je pourais etre ton guide touristique!
La province de l'Alberta est celle où il y a le plus d'emploi à combler. Il y a la région de Calgary qui est très cosmopolite et il y a les régions du pétrole (Fort Myers). Des emplois, il y en a mais le coût des loyers sont très très très élevés. Si jamais cela t'intéresse, il y a des sites d'emplois qui pourraient t'aider.
