Je suis interessé à connaître toutes informations qui pourraient faciliter mon voyage et si jamais tu es interresser de partir toi aussi dans l'ouest canadien cet été ne te gêne pas pour me faire signe. Je prévois partir même si je suis seul, mais j'apprécierais avoir de la compagnie 😛

Je te lache là des réponses de mecs qui sont aller faire ça y a quelques années (en speed, désolé, j'ai pas bcp de temps) :
D'une part, tu dois être conscient que l'ouest Canadien et la cueillette est
quelque chose d'ultime et de particulier. Ton permis de conduire sera
reconnu. Pour le matériel de camping, je te conseille de t'équiper avant de
partir: un bon sac, une bonne tente, un matelas de sol et un sleeping. Pour
le reste un peu de linge.
Ceux qui possèdent les champs sont des east indians de l'Inde. Ils
acceptent de te laisser dormir sur le champs à condition que tu travaille
pour eux. Souvent tu n'auras pas de douche, ou qu'un petit robinet d'eau
froide, une chiotte chimique ou même rien, c'est-à-dire que tu devras te
débrouiller dans la nature. Si tu es seul, tu rencontreras des gens, à toi
de faire attention et de décider à qui tu fais confiance. Les jeunes qui
vont la bas n'ont souvent pas d'argent et beaucoup de drogues. Mais il y a
du bon monde. De mon coté je suis parti seul et jai terminé à 6 dans une
vanne de 600$ qu'on a acheté la bas.
Pour la cueillette, il faut que tu t'achètes un bucket à Oliver, au sud de
la Valley d'Okanakan avec un harnais. C'est l'idéal pour maximiser tes
profits. Cependant, si cest ta premiere année crois pas que tu pourras
faire un max d'argent. Il faut que tu y aille principalement pour le trip et
l'expérience, car les anciens vont etre engagés dans les meilleurs places et
cueilleront facilmenet deux fois plus vite qu'un débutant.
En plus, le 23 au soir, cest la St-Jean Baptiste, la fete nationale du
Québec. Les jeunes se retrouvent à Shit Lake, proche de Oliver. Si tu as
un auto, informe toi et les gens t'indiqueront le chemin, sinon va à un
dépanneur et cherche un lift.
Pour la cueillette, tu devrais débuter au sud, à Osoyoos. Tu vas
directement sur les terrains des agriculteurs et demandent un travail. Tu
ne devrais pas travailler en bas de 2, 50$ le bucket ou 2, 25$ si tu as la
douche. Tu peux négocier. Il y a une belle plage. Tu peux toujours te
renseigner. Il y a les centres emplois qui sont très intéressants qui ont
des offres d'emplois de la mort. Si tu n'aimes pas les cerises, tu peux
travailler dans l'agriculture ou les vigniers, la valley de Keremeos est
intéressante pour cela. Cependant, je te conseille de ne pas y aller pour
les cerises, car il y a en a que très peu.
Plus la saison avancera, plus tu devras te diriger au nord pour te trouver
de nouvels emplois. Il se peut que tu aille beaucoup de difficulté.
Cherche dans les centres emplois et parle aux gens. Il y a des endroits
louche mais qui paye bien. À toi de voir.
Mais je te conseille de te laisser aller et de voir rendu à ce moment la.
Tu sauras ce qui te conviendras apres avoir picker (cueilli) pendant 2-3
semaines.
Si tu n'aimes pas, tu peux toujours aller en Alberta, à Banff, travailler
dans un hotel. Ils offrent souvent le "Staff Accomodation", l'hébergement,
pour pas très cher et tu as la paix et les montagnes. Sinon, tu peux
voyager, aller à Tofino sur la cote Ouest, Vancouver, Victoria. Cependant,
tu ne pourras pas dormir ou tu veux. Et fais gaffe de ne pas dormir sur la
plage, il y a la police...
Pour résumer, achete ton matériel de camping, apporte une gourde, une carte
du BC et laisse toi aller. Le pouce ca marche très bien.

Concernant l'été dans la vallée de l'Okanagan, attend toi a la canicule,
Kelowna est appellé le Daytona Beach du Canada, je n'y arriver que fin Aout
et c'était déjà dur pour moi de quitter l'auberge de jeunesse ou j'étais
avant 16h, mais c vrai que je un montagnard tres resitant au froid mais pas
du tout au chaud.
En parlant de l'auberge de jeunesse pas mal de personne qui y était bossait
dans la cueillette, et ca pourrait peut etre t'aider a trouver des contact
ou meme une caisse pour t'emmener au boulot l'adresse c'est Kelowna

Par rapport a la caisse ici ils ont le droit de conduire a 16ans donc si tu
as ton permis tu pourra conduire, normalement ton permis doit suffir, mais
pour etre sur demande le permis international a l'organisation qui le
delivre dans ton departement, moi c t l'automobile club d'Annecy et ca
m'avait couter 10€.
Pour le materiel de camping je suis dslé j'en ai aucune idée, pour le permis
de travail je ne sais pas car j'ai seulement postuler pour un permis
d'étudier qui m'a été accorder assez facilement.

Salut, j'ai comme plan d'aller aussi dans la Vallée d'Okanagan vers début juin ou tout juste avant mi-juin, j'y vais en voiture avec mon ami, ce n'est pas la grande classe mais ça devrait se rendre! J'ai calculé environ 500$ pour se rendre, donc si des cobayes veulent nous accompagner ils seraient les bienvenus. (si on est 4 ça nous coûterait donc 125$ chacun)
J'ai entendu qu'il était préférable de réserver sa place d'avance sur les fermes afin d'avoir des jobs un peu plus payantes, c'est vrai?

Mon plan est d'aller travailler dans l'Okanagan pour 1 mois-1 mois et demi et ensuite aller explorer la côte Ouest (Vancouver) et descendre le long de la côte Ouest américaine, donc la Californie, San Francisco, Los Angeles, pour revenir par Las Vegas, Denver... Le trajet n'est pas encore décidé, on s'en reparlera pour mon auto, mais si tu es intéressée je te garde en réserve!
y'en as-tu qui s'en vont à Vancouver( la ville même) cet été?
Moi cé là que je m'en vas, je vais chercher une job et un hébergement pour l'été.

Bonjour Sensie!!! Je ne peux pas vraiment t'aider, je crois, puisque pour ma part je n'ai pas eu besoin de permis et/ou de visa étant donné que je vis au Québec. Lorsque j'y ai été la plupart du temps le salaire n'était pas déclaré (donc aucun papier n'est demandé). Toutefois, je ne veux pas me sentir responsable si jamais de ton côté il t'arrive un pépin. Il est sans doute préférable d'avoir un visa de travail en ce qui te concerne, le mieux c'est de téléphoner à ton embassade.
