Bonjour, j'aimerais savoir si quelqu'un pourrait me donner des informations sur l'immersion total en anglais ( travail, endroit pour vivre etc...) ou si vous avez une expériences a partagé!
Je voudrais partir pendant quelques mois n'importe où dans le Canada anglophone, mais c'est dur de partir de rien et de chercher quand on ne sais pas vraiment où chercher. Toutefois si vous avez d'autre suggestion n'hésitez pas !

J'habite la Colombie Britannique depuis 5 ans. J'ai fait un voyage et une immersion dans les années précédentes... dans la même province, et des les premiers instant, je suis tombé en amour avec cet endroit. Je conseille fortement l'ouest Canadien.
La Colombie Britannique et l'Aberta sont des provinces ou la nature est omniprésente et spectaculaire. Il y a de nombreuse possibilité ou travailler. C'est rempli d'endroit touristique et le francais est un atout dans ce genre d'endroit. Et bien sur, cela permet par la même occasion d'apprendre son anglais.
Les rocheuses... la ville de Canmore, Banff, Lac Louise, Jasper... dans les restaurants, les hotels, les monts de ski.
La vallée d'okanagan est une endroit accueillant. L'été est regorge de touriste et c'est un endroit qui ne demande pas grand chose pour vivre. On peut travailler dans les vergers à la bonne franquette et apprendre notre anglais. Mais il faut faire attention parce qu'il y a tellement de Québécois qui s'y rendre que ça peut-être un cercle visieu puisqu'on apprend pas autant son anglais... mais on se fait quand même de nombreux d'amis!
Whistler est aussi un très bel endroit ou travailler. Parlant de Whistler, les jeux olympique de 2010 sont à la recherche contamment de nouvelle personne et ce, dans un paquet de domaine différent. Les jeux se passeront en grande partie à Whistler mais aussi dans la région de métropolitaine de Vancouver. Vancouver c'est très dispendieux pour vivre. Il est bien évident que plus on se raproche d'un centre urbain, plus la vie est dispendieuse.
En général, c'est dispendieux de vivre dans l'ouest Canadien.
Voila un peu de mon expérience. C'est bref. Et si je peux vous aider plus concrètement cela me fera un immence plaisir.

Peux tu m'en dire en peu plus sur ton expérience ? Depuis quelques années je songe à m'installer au Canada mais je suis un peu perdue 🙁. J'ai 40 ans et suis chef de projets dans la communication dans un grand groupe francais. Comment prospecter ? Quels employeurs contacter ?
Et bien c'est difficile par quoi commencer?
Peut-être en vous disant que le Canada est TRÈS grand et que les provinces sont différentes.
Premièrement la langue. Il est possible de vivre dans les deux langues (anglais et francais) en habitant dans les provinces de l'est du pays. C'est à dire; Québec, bien sur, ainsi que les maritimes (Nouveau Brunswick, Nouvelle Écosse, l'ile du prince Edouard). Il y a aussi quelques villes bilingues en Ontario, Ottawa par exemple. Mais le reste; Manitoba, Saskachewan, Alberta et Colombie Britannique... c'est anglophone.
En Colombie Britannique on retrouve des associations francophone, des écoles francophone, un canal de télévision francophone... mais la vie en générale se passe en anglais.
Alors je pense qu'au départ c'est une bonne question à ce poser. Est ce que je veux vivre en anglais?
Depuis mon déménagement je me surprends à me sentir dépayser. Je vis toujours dans le Canada pourtant!!! La vie de l'ouest ressemble plus à une vie américanisé. J'aime le Québec pour un paquet de petits détails... mais qui font souvent toute une différence.
Voila pour l'instant. Je n'ai pas répondu concrètement à vos questions, mais je pense que vous devez savoir avant tout quel région vous intéresse le plus.

Je sais qu'il existe des programmes qui subventionnent les jeunes mais je suis un adulte et ça ne semble pas correspondre 🙁 En fait, comme je devrai prendre un congé sans traitement pour vivre l, expérience, j'aimerais trouver un endroit où je serais hébergée et où je pourrais travailler sans toutefois côtoyer un trop grand nombre de francophone....

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland?
