Je cherche à aller au Canada, à Vancouver plus précisément, en tant que jeune fille au pair, afin d'améliorer mon anglais. Je suis une fille de 18 ans, le Bac en poche, je n'ai pas le BAFA ou une quelconque formation prouvant que j'ai déjà "travaillé" avec les enfants.
J'ai lu sur le net qu'il était nécessaire d':
"- avoir au moins 18 ans, avoir le niveau du baccalauréat, avoir suivi pendant 6 mois minimum une formation dans le domaine pour lequel on sera appelé à travailler (puériculture, gériatrie). Cette formation doit avoir été dispensée par un organisme reconnu. A défaut de diplôme, une attestation de fin de formation est nécessaire. Avoir une bonne connaissance (parlé et écrit) de l’anglais, Être non fumeur
😮J'avoue avoir été surprise qu'il faille une formation ! Quelqu'un a -t-il déjà était au pair au Canada?
A côté de ça, je souhaite suivre des cours d'anglais dans un établissement spécialisé afin de passer un diplôme de langues, mais je ne sais pas vraiment ce qui me correspond.
A la base, j'étais partie sur le TOEFL, mais on m'a dit que le niveau était relativement faible. Etait-il reconnu au niveau mondial?
Le TOEIC me paraît trop professionnel pour moi: marketing.. 😐
Qu'en est-il du Cambridge? N'était-il pas trop littéraire?

J'ai passé un an au Canada l'an dernier, à Québec plus précisément, mais on a dû passer un examen de ce type en arrivant. Le TOEIC axé "marketing" c'est ce que l'on dit, mais en fait je crois que ce diplome est très bien et qui plus est moins cher que le TOEFL. Donc à mon avis il s'agit d'une bonne possibilité. De plus, après avoir fait le test j'en conclus que celui ci n'est pas tellement marketing.
Sinon pour les visas vers Vancouver par exemple tu as les visas vacances travail ( ou un nom comme ça je ne sais plus ) ça dure six mois et tu peux travailler là bas avec ceci. Vois si ça peut correspondre à tes attentes.
Pour les cours d'anglais si tu souhaites en suivre là bas je te conseille l'université en Colombie Britannique, qui propose je pense des sessions d'été. C'est à confirmer mais toutes les universités au Canada continuent leurs activités en été. Tu paieras moins cher et tu seras dans des installations top. Va voir sur le site de University of british columbia http://www.ubc.ca/

PS je suis passé en Colombie britannique 15 jours l'an dernier donc si tu veux plus de renseignements dessus.....
Le TOEIC est quasiment identique au TOEFL, j'ai fait les 2. Le TOEFL est plus pour rentrer dans une école, le TOEIC est reconnu par les entreprises.
Les 2 sont très faciles en tous cas.
Sinon ton histoire de diplome m'étonne, une amie est parti au pair 1 an aux USA et ils ne demandent aucun diplome. Mais peut etre est-ce différent pour le canada.
Mais tu trouveras toutes ces infos sur le net sans probleme.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Hi, I’m a self-employed physiotherapist in France, and as my wife (a nurse) and I look into working abroad in about two years, I’ve been offered an equivalence to become a respiratory physiotherapist in Switzerland. Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland? Based on the paperwork I’ve received, the equivalence seems purely administrative or almost... What about working conditions, quality of life, salaries, etc.?
