Vancouver et toute la Colombie-Britannique ont des paysages magnifiques et c'est vrai qu'il fait moins froid à Van qu'à Toronto, mais il pleut beaucoup, mais Vancouver est plus adapté pour les familles.
Pour une fille de 18 ans, Toronto est une ville qui bouge plus, plus "américanisée", mais avec tous les avantages du mode de vie canadien. 🙂
Donc, au niveau du climat, il faut voir si tu préfères le froid (tout relatif) de Toronto ou la pluie (pas relative du tout là 😛) de Vancouver;
Au niveau de la qualité de vie, c'est vrai que Van est plus tranquille à vivre, disons moins grande métropole
Au niveau de l'attractivité, comme je l'ai dit, ça bouge beaucoup plus à Toronto pour une jeune fille de 18 ans ! 😉
Même si la température peut parfois laisser à désirer .... Vancouver et ses environs sont beaucoup plus agréable que Toronto. C'est une ville super dynamique. Il y a pleins de visites à faire - entres autres Whistler / Blackcomb, Victoria, Tofino et les îles.... Pour qqn de sportif et plein air, Vancouver !! Le coût de la vie est assez cher mais à Toronto aussi.

Je suis déjà allée à Toronto que j'ai trouvée très plate comme ville. C'est une ville qui bouge le jour en suivant le rythme du travail, des hommes d'affaires et des bureaux, mais le soir tout ferme tôt (restaurants, cinémas, etc.) et l'ambiance n'est pas super. Je ne suis jamais allée à Vancouver mais je connais beaucoup de jeunes qui y sont allés pour faire leur "trip de jeunesse" et qui ont adoré. D'ailleurs le climat est bien côté chaleur et froid, mais il pleut beaucoup (dans le style de Londres). A Toronto c'est davantage comme à Montréal, l'hiver il fait très froid, tempêtes de neige, moins d'activités, etc. Si je devais aller étudier dans une de ces ville je choisirais Vancouver pour tous les loisirs qu'il y a (paysages à couper le souffle, Rocheuses, ski, nature) et en plus c'est une ville ou beaucoup de jeunes partent faire la même expérience que toi, tu risques donc d'y faire de belles rencontres.

Bonsoir! est-ce que je pourrais savoir comment tu comptes partir étudier au canada (université, logement, financement)? parce que je suis en pleine remise en question, je cherche à me réorienter ds mes études, et partir à l'étranger pr étudier l'anglais m'avait paru etre une bonne option, de plus je reve de partir au canada, donc je te serai reconnaisante de pouvoir me renseigner sur ce point !
Je pense partir par l' intermédiaire d' un organisme qui s' occupe de l' inscription en école, de l' hébergement (en famille d' accueil). Je dois m' occuper du transport. Il existe des programmes pour un trimestre, un semestre, une année. Tu peux te renseigner auprès de Nacel, STS, PIE... et bien d' autres.

Je rejoins les réponses précédentes en te répondant sans hésiter Vancouver ! J'y ai passé 6 mois (stage d'anglais) et cette ville est bien plus agréable à vivre que Toronto. Vu que tu vas faire de septembre à février, il vaut mieux faire Vancouver où l'hiver sera bien plus supportable (0° en moyenne, contre -20° pour Toronto). Le seul hic de Vancouver est la pluie, très présente et je dois avouer que tu n'y vas pas durant la meilleure période. Amène tes skis et tes combis, les pistes se trouvent à 45min du centre de Vancouver. Cette ville est une des grandes villes où il fait le plus bon vivre au monde. L'état de Colombie-Britannique est magnifique, et regorge de paysages magnifiques. Et si la météo est insoutenable, tu peux tjs aller en Californie, ça n'est qu'à 2H d'avion. 😉

Je pars avec un organisme qui s'appel EF, en septembre. Je pars comme ca ca va me permettre d'apprendre l'anglais tout en me laissant un peu plus de temps pour réfléchir a mon orientation.
En septembre je m'envole donc pour Vancouver pour six mois ou je suivrais des cours d'anglais.
Je serais dans une famille avec une autre étudiante non francophone.

Pour toute ville nord américaine la vie s'arrête à 2h00 donc toronto y compris. Autre chose tu n'as pas encore 19 ans tu vas vite vite t'ennuyer parceque tu ne peux rien faire dans ces pays avt cet âge, les soirées en boîte, les pubs sont a exclure parce qu'ils servent des boissons alcoolisés et donc comme tu n'ais pas considéré comme étant majeur l'accé t'en est interdite. Sinon pour ce qui est de Toronto je pnse qui a de quoi faire en dehors des boîtes. l'été y a pas mal d'activité de concerts en plein air etc... l'hiver ça reste a voir grande quantité de neaige a ce qu'il parait mais là je ne peut pas te dire je n'y ai jamais passé l'hiver.

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
