J'ai pour projet de partir travailler au Canada à partir de Mai prochain avec mon conjoint pour vivre une nouvelle expérience et améliorer notre anglais par la même occasion. Nous sommes prêts à faire tous types de boulots...avec une préférence pour le travail agricole, la cueillette...j'ai entendu parlé de la Vallée de l'Okanagan qui me parait pas mal!
Néanmoins, j'ai bien peur que ce soit compliqué maintenant que les quotas PVT sont atteinds! Du coup, le permis de travail simple me semble le plus approprié mais à priori, il faut avoir obligatoiremen un employeur (offre d'emploi) avant de partir pour pouvoir faire une demande de permis de travail.
J'ai consulter en long et en large le site de l'Ambassade et je me demande toujours s'il est possible quand on est de simple français d'aller au Canada (en tant que visiteur au départ) et de faire une demande de permis de travail de là-bas (une fois avoir trouver du travail)???
Du coup, je recherche toujours du travail depuis la France mais j'ai peu de retour...je pense que le mieux est d'être sur place (il y aura toujours du travail agricole) mais est-ce possible de rentrer dans le pays sans permis puis ensuite faire sa demande au Canada? Le délai d'attente est-il long?
Bien sur, on ne veux pas risquer d'aller là-bas en tant que visiteur sans pouvoir travailler pour vivre!!!😕
Aussi, j'ai entendu dire que l'accès au territoire n'est pas facile et qu'il faut prouver que tu ne comptes pas rester...mais quand on va chercher du travail on ne sait pas trop quand on va quitter le Canada! Pour notre part, nous aimerions rester jusqu'à la fin d'année.

tu as déjà répondu toi même a toutes tes questions...Sans permis de travail, pas le droit de bosser, l'immigration ici est très stricte. Venir au canada pour chercher du travail, possible, mais les démarches pour les papiers se font a l'ambassade donc a l'extérieur du pays.

Rien à voir: le tour du poteau, c'est quand l'ambassade a autorisé un permis de travail ou de résidence permanente. Puisque le document doit être imprimé à la frontière par un agent d'immigration, il faut arriver de l'international, ce que font les étrangers qui se trouvent déjà au Canada (soit parce qu'ils sont étudiants, soit parce qu'ils ont déjà un statut de travailleur et veulent le modifier). Ce n'est pas ton cas, puisque tu n'auras qu'un statut de visiteur(touriste) tu dois donc effectuer les démarches dans ton pays.
Tu devrais plutôt contacter à distance les employeurs dans la région qui t'intéresse pour leur offrir tes services avant de venir ici. C'est la procédure que toute personne est supposée faire. N'oublie pas que l'employeur doit prouver qu'il n'arrive pas à combler son poste par un Canadien (ou résident permanent) pour avoir l'autorisation de Ressources humaines Canada.
Ou sinon, attendre 2011 pour faire un PVT. C'est une des raisons pour laquelle le programme est si populaire auprès des étrangers, c'est que justement il n'y a pas nécessité d'obtenir une autorisation d'embauche d'un étranger, ce qui facilite la vie des employeurs.

Je poste juste pour te dire que je suis exactement dans le même cas que toi et ton compagnon.
J'ai 21 ans et je termine un contrat de travail en Avril pour ensuite reprendre des études en Octobre. Entre temps j'ai cette envie de partir dans l'ouest Canadien pour visiter, travailler et améliorer mon Anglais.
Malheureusement, comme vous, je pense que je m'y suis pris un peu tard pour prétendre à un PVT (et de plus un PVT pour 5-6 ne vaut peux être pas vraiment le coup !). C'est dommage qu'il n'existe pas autre chose juste pour un "job d'été". Bref, c'est pour cela que depuis plusieurs semaines, je cherche un boulot à distance en vain pour le moment. Je ne désespère pas mais le mois de Mai va arriver à grand pas et j'ai peur de ne rien trouver ! J'ai rendez vous d'ici la semaine prochaine dans une antenne du pôle emploi international situé dans une ville proche de la mienne, je posterai s'ils me disent des choses intéressantes (bien que je ne compte pas trop sur eux pour trouver quelque chose !)

salut pas grand chose a dire sur les visas differents par contre jai deja eu un pvt et je suis deja aller 3 fois au canada en tant que touriste et jai toujours trouver du travail sans papier surtout dans l'okanagan c simple seul hic tu garde tout ton argent sur toi vu qu'on peut pas ouvrir un compte mais ta du travail garantie de debut juin voir debut mai jusqua la mi octobre dans la cueillette et plantation ....
hesitez pas par contre la douane de montreal et la pire mais l'important c detre capable de montrer que t pas en panique mm si tu lé lol tu reponds tranquillement au question tu ments quand c necessaire et y te laisseront rentrer ...
genre tu dis moi et mon conjoint on a bosser tout lhiver a fond on bosse de nuit donc on gagne 1500 euro par mois on a economiser 5000 ou 7000 euro pi c bon ....

Alors selon toi, le meilleur moyen pour trouver du travail pour une durée de plus ou moins 6 mois si nous n'avons pas trouvé d'employeur à partir de la France, c'est de venir au Canada avec un Visa touriste (soit dis en passant, pour nous Français, il n'y a pas de formalités administratives particulières à faire auprès de l'ambassade ?), et ensuite avec un minimum de débrouille, on a de grande chance de trouver quelque chose dans la région de l'Okanagan ?
A chaque voyage que tu as fait, tu as trouvé dans la même région ? et les employeurs te logent ou c'est à toi de te débrouiller ?
Si vraiment je ne trouve rien, cette solution est à envisager !

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.
