Bonjour, après mon futur voyage en Irlande, je souhaiterai partir au Canada avec un ami pour faire du wwoofing. Cela nous permettrais de partir sur une période plus courte sans permis de travail (c'est idio de faire un pvt pour en profiter mm pas 6 mois...., plutot atendre d'avoir une année entière de libre).
Pensez-vous que l'on peut trouver facilement des fermes qui accepte 2 personnes en même temps, notement sur une période entre avril - juin?
On viserai plutot l'ontario, la région des gd lacs, ou le reste de l'est du pays.

Des petits boulots c'est beaucoup plus facile a trouver au Canada qu'en France. Par exemple sur Toronto ils recherchent pas mal de gens pour vendre des hotdogs ou des trucs comme ca.
Maintenant si vous voulez trouver dans une ferme, moi je suis actuellement en alberta et je pense qu'il y a moyen de trouver dans cette branche ici. Mais c'est pas l'est du Canada...

En faite on a choisi le wwoofing car il ne faut pas de PVT. our des petit boulot comme tu dis, je crois q'il faut un PVT non? après la destination n'est pas encore fixer, alors après tout pourquoi pas l'Alberta ou l'ouest si il y a plus a faire labas....

je suis resté 1 an au canada, en couple, et nous avons fait du wwoofing ensemble dans 4 fermes, puis j'en ai refait tout seul dans 1 lodge et 1 ferme. des séjours de 2 à 5 semaines.
tu n'auras pas de pb avec le fait d'être 2, sauf pour les fermes qui n'accueillent qu'une personne à la fois (car il n'y a pas de boulot pour 2 personnes). Quelques places ne veulent pas de couple car les hotes ont eu de mauvaises expériences, mais c'est assez rare et en général c'est marqué dans leur annonce.
sur le quebec/ontario, je pense que tu auras du mal a trouver des fermes en avril et mai car la saison ne fera que démarrer. par contre en juin, pas de pb pour trouver, faudra juste te préparer à cohabiter avec les moustiques qui sont assez hargneux à ce moment-là de l'année.
sinon, en BC tu trouveras sans pb en avril et mai car le temps est plus clément, notamment en okkanagan et sur l'île de vancouver. et il n'y a pas de moustique...

je reviens tout juste du quebec ou j'ai wwoffer un peu (tres tres tres sympa). si tu n'as pas le livre(qui couvre tout le canada), on peu s'arranger... sinon c'est tres rare qu'ils n'accepte pas deux personnes à la fois, et de toute facon il y a beaucoup de choix et il y en pas mal qui commence vers avril je crois.

les annonces de l'annuaire sont assez bien faites pour décrire les activités et les conditions, mais pas forcément actualisées.
c'est sur qu'il y a bcp de choix, je te conseille de faire ton voyage en premier lieu, et de trouver des fermes sur ton itinéraire ensuite.
comme ça, si ça te saoule, tu pourras tjs abréger ton séjour et continuer ta route comme tu l'avais prévu.
pour choisir, je te conseille d'appeler quand tu seras au canada et de poser les questions qui te semblent importantes : qu'est-ce que tu vas faire, combien d'heures par jour, où tu dors (chambre, caravane, tente...), si tu manges avec tes hotes, si tu as un vélo à dispo pour te ballader etc... en général, les hotes demandent 5-6 h de travail par jour (jardin, animaux, coupe de bois, construction, ménage etc) et de l'aide pour les taches quotidiennes : préparation du repas, vaisselle, petit ménage. participer à la préparation des repas est souvent très apprécié, car les hôtes sont souvent blasés des wwoofers qui viennent au dîner "les pieds sous la table".
en général, il est bon d'annoncer venir pour 2 semaines, et plus si le feeling est bon. les hotes sont habitués à recevoir des voyageurs en quête d'expérience donc ils ne demandent pas un engagement sur une longue durée, mais ils ne veulent pas de séjours de qqs jours. des fois aussi, parce qu'il y a peu de travail ou parce qu'ils ne veulent pas avoir un étranger chez eux trop longtemps, ils peuvent demandent de rester 1 semaine ou 10 jours.
tu pourras tomber sur des gens généreux qui vont te faire partager leur culture, rencontrer leurs amis, découvrir leur région, te sortir le week-end etc... comme sur des gens qui se contentent de t'offrir un minimum de confort et puis basta.
l'important c'est la rencontre, l'échange, si tu as le coeur ouvert tout se passera bien.
laisse-toi guider par ton instinct, et discute un peu avant de t'engager et tu n'auras pas de mauvaises surprises.
sur 6 fermes, la seule avec qui on n'a pas eu un échange équitable a été une ferme qui avait passé une annonce sur le forum, avec qui on a juste eu un contac rapide par email... on a été naif !
à mon gout, les grandes fermes qui reçoivent bcp de wwoofers, notamment lors des récoltes, et dont le travail est organisé sur la base de cette main d'oeuvre bon marché ne sont pas les meilleures. mais dans ces fermes tu as l'avantage de cottoyer d'autres wwoofers et ça peut être hyper sympa ! je préfère les petites fermes ou tu fait un peu de tout et où tu as un contact privilégié avec les hôtes. avec l'inconvénient que tu peux tourner en rond facilement.

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.

The project is simple:
1) Grow maize + build a processing plant to produce flour

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
