Nous passerons 2 mois de mi-janvier à la mi-mars aux Iles Canaries. Quelle île est le mieux appropriée à cette période de l'année. Aussi, j'aimerais savoir la différence des plages quant au sable. Quelle serait la moyenne en température ?

Difficile de prévoir le temps qu'il fera dans 11 mois.
De plus sous les tropiques le temps change parfois brutalement d'une heure sur l'autre.
Il peut tres bien y avoir un temps couvert et relativement froid le matin, et un tres beau temps l'apres midi, ou le contraire.
Tout ce que l'on peut dire : généralement on peut penser qu'il fera un temps doux....Celui qui annonce des températures garanties est tres fort!
Pour information, cette année la température est passée de 27 à 16 degres (température mesurée). La température ressentie pouvant etre assez différente (en fonction du vent).
Concernant le choix d'une ile.....c'est en fonction des gouts de chacun (un peu comme le choix d'une voiture).
Prenons le cas de Fuerteventura : des immenses plages de sable blond (voir blanc). On se croirait aux caraibes.
Certains (comme moi) trouvent cela magnifique. Pour d'autres : il n'y a rien à voir....
A tenerife le point fort : les paysages montagneux, mais pas les plages de Fuerteventura.
En fait, ce que je vous conseillerait : chercher sur internet, pour faire un choix en fonction de vos gouts (qui ne sont pas forcements ceux des autres).
Une idée : pourquoi ne pas visiter plusieurs iles? en 2 mois vous avez le temps.
Une semaine par ile, pour une découverte, devrait etre une bonne cadence.
Personnellement j'ais mis les pieds sur 10 iles aux canaries. Chacune avait son charme (souvent différent des autres).

Concernant la température, je suis très consciente qu'on ne peux pas prédire d'avance pour dans 11 mois, mais je veux avoir un son de cloche de personnes qui les dernières années ont visités les Canaries en hiver. J'ai été voir les statistiques, mais d'lavoir les commentaires des gens qui y sont présentement sont aussi importants.
Est-ce que de choisir des îles prês de l'Afrique comme Fuerteventura et Lanzarote seraient avec des températures plus chaudes en hiver ??
Quant au choix de l'île, probablement c'est ce que nous ferons, d'en visiter plusieurs. Mon principal dilemme est de savoir si on commence en janvier par l'est ou l'ouest par rapport à la température.
De quelle manière on se déplace entre les îles ? Ferry ou avion ??

En fait lorsque vous demandez à des gens qui sont à leure premier séjour aux Canaries : ils reviennent généralement enchantés et vont vous annoncer les meilleures températures rencontrées.
Ensuite on se calme un peu.
Comme je vous le disais : mon dernier séjour : fetes de fin d'année à Lanzarote et Fuerteventura. Les 30 et 31 décembre : ciel tres couvert, avec du vent et des températures assez basses. On pourait donc résumer : pas terrible.
Le premier janvier vers 10h le ciel se dégage et le vent s'arrete : on pourrait résumer : fortes chaleur, attention aux coups de soleil.....
En fevrier 2012 nous avons eu par moment le thermometre qui est descendu jusqu'à 10° sous les averses. Cela n'a pas empeché le soleil d'etre présent juste au moment des défilés des carnavals (3 en 10 jours), et de voir les paticipantes en petite tenue.
Le fait d'etre plus pres de l'Afrique ne change rien puisque toutes les iles sont a peu pres sur le meme parallele.
Pour passer d'ile en ile il y a les ferry pour les iles les plus proches (tenerife-La gomera), (Lanzarote-Fuerteventura), et l'avion pour les autres (encore que l'on puisse prendre l'avion entre Tenerife et La Gomera et le ferry entre Lanzarote et La Pama, mais ces 2 dernieres possibilités ne sont pas les plus pratiques.
Donc pour l'ordre des visites, je vous conseillerai de choisir une logique en fonction des distances, et surtout de savoir (un peu) à l'avance ce que vous allez trouver pour ne pas etre déçue.

Bonjour , ayant fait quasiment toutes les iles des Canaries en hiver(decembre, janvier , fevrier)je te conseille sans hesiter le sud de Gran Canaria .Soleil assuré et douceur 20 / 25 degres garantis Et je sais de quoi je parle , jai fais plus de 30 voyages aux canaries.Mogan(sud ouest de gran canaria) a été élu meilleur climat du monde .Peu de variation de temperatures dans l'année l et record d'enseolleillement
Suite à vos commentaires concernant Mogan sur Gran Canaria et ayant fait un peu de recherches personnelles, j'ai fait des recherches autour de cette ville pour me trouver un appartement.
Effectivement j'ai trouvé et tout est réservé pour janvier, février et le début de mars. J'ai laissé tombé Fuerteventura et Lanzarote, lesquelles je choisirai pour un autre voyage.

Bonjour,
Nous avons passé tout le mois de janvier cette année à La Grande Canarie. Nous y avions déjà été en octobre et en avril et nous nous demandions quel temps nous allions trouver. Et bien c'est vraiment le pays de l'éternel printemps ! Les températures nocturnes étaient fraiches en altitude (lorsque nous randonnions il nous est même arrivé de trouver un peu de gelée blanche sur des versants Nord très tôt le matin) mais une douceur largement printanière s'installe dès que le soleil s'élève. Les amandiers étaient en fleur : c'était magnifique et très dépaysant. Nous y retournerons. Je vous conseille un site qui parle "juste et bien" de La Grande Canarie : www.randonner-grandecanarie.com. C'est plutôt fait pour les randonneurs mais d'autres types de visiteurs peuvent y trouver des idées.

Un petit retour d'expérience car je viens de passer une semaine (début février) à la Gomera et Tenerife.
On a eu froid.
En fait ces îles ont du relief et il faut savoir lire les statistiques entre les lignes.
Les stats donnent 20/22 pour cette période. Mais parfois le temps est en dessous des stats, c'est normal.
Mais surtout ces chiffes sont ceux des villes côtières du Sud.
Dès qu'on est côté Nord c'est différent.
Et surtout dès qu'on s'enfonce à l'intérieur c'est nettement plus froid car les reliefs sont dans les nuages à cette époque de l'année.
En clair on randonnait souvent autour de 10/12 degrés en mi-journée. Mais quand on est dans l'humidité du nuage et qu'il y a du vent la sensation est très froide.
Nous envisageons de partir entre avril et juin sur une ile des canaries mais quelqu'un peut-il nous conseiller sur laquelle:: où il fait beau, chaud, peu de…

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

But after checking various weather sites and reading accounts, I’m a bit worried about rain, which can apparently be frequent and heavy in February. I’d love to hear from travelers or locals who’ve been there recently.

This year, 2026, I can only get away in April and May. I never travel during these months usually, and from what I know, they aren’t the best for India. But in such a big country, there are always spots that are better than others weather-wise.
Which region would you recommend?

I’ve looked into a few different options: Brazil, Cambodia, and Ecuador. The last one really appeals to me, but what’s making me hesitate is the risk of our trip being a bit too rainy (literally ),
We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Not sure if guidebooks, agencies, and other tour operators are keeping up by changing their visiting hours and offerings.
Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊
