Je suis tout nouveau sur le site et j'ai vu qu'un sujet ressemblant avait déjà été posté en 2010 alors je redemande 7 ans après! ( 7 ans depuis 2010 😮 )
Je présente donc mon cas: Je suis étudiant en 2ème année de cycle universitaire préparatoire aux grandes écoles et j'ai, après de nombreuses soirées de réflexion et rendez vous, décidé de tout recommencer à zéro l'année prochaine au Canada.. En effet, j'avais fait ma CUPGE dans le but d'intégrer une école d'ingénieur près de chez moi ( ENSISA ) dans l'informatique mais il se trouve que dans ma CUPGE nous avons eu très peu d'informatique et j'ai été très mal dirigé or c'est l'informatique que j'aime moi.. Enfin bref!
J'ai donc fait mon inscription à l'UDEM pour un baccalauréat en informatique qui n'est pas contingenté et les pré-requis sont un 12 de moyennes au bac S, avec un 12 en maths spécialité maths et j'ai eu tout ce qu'ils demandaient.. Or, il est écrit que je vais être jugée sur mes années universitaires et qu'il faut 12 de moyennes, et j'ai eu 13 au deux semestres de ma première année et j'attends mes résultats pour le premier semestre de cette année, mais je suis assez confiant pour le 12. J'ai toujours eu le félicitations et ce très bonnes notes en maths.
Ma question est alors, pensez vous que je dois aussi m'inscrire à l'UQAM car le programme d'informatique me plait aussi mais j'ai entendu dire que l'UQAM était beaucoup moins bien que l'UDEM et l'UDEM m'attire plus (+). Mais j'ai vraiment peur d'être refusé pour une raison ou pour une autre à l'UDEM, quelles sont les chances d'entrées dans un baccalauréat non contingenté, qui de plus accepte en temps normal après le bac? Sachant que j'ai presque deux années de plus que des bacheliers et beaucoup plus des maths dans le dents..
Voila, donc en bref, pensez vous que je fais aussi un dossier à l'UQAM? Et quelles sont les chances d'être accepté à l'UDEM?
Si le programme de Baccalauréat en informatique n'est pas contingenté, et que tu réponds aux critères d'admission, il n'y a pas vraiment de raison que tu sois refusé.
Tu peux toujours faire une demande d'admission à l'UQÀM et tu auras ainsi le choix entre ces deux universités.
Toutes les universités québécoises sont de bonne qualité. La seule chose est que l'UQÀM est une université populaire, c'est à dire qu'elle a été fondée pour le peuple, et non pour l'élite. Si tu te destines à une carrière dans des firmes très prestigieuses (dans des cabinets d'avocats ou de finance, par exemple), je te dirais d'opter pour l'UdeM, mais comme tu es en informatique, un domaine assez décontracté, cela ne fait pas de différence. Enfin, au Québec ça ne fait pas de différence, je ne sais pas comment les employeurs sont en France.
Personnellement, je suis une diplômée de l'UdeM et je m'y plaisais bien. Je préfère aussi le quartier Côte-des-Neiges à la cahotique Ville-Marie et sa rue Ste-Catherine (où est situé l'UQAM).

Si le programme n'est pas contingenté, il n'y a pas de raisons qu'on vous refuse. Votre prépa ne sera pas reconnue, cependant.
Pour vos inquiétudes quant au choix de l'université, la personne qui vous a répondu a parfaitement raison: au Québec, toutes les universités sont publiques. Les employeurs n'hésitent aucunement à embaucher tous les finissants sans discrimination, nous ne sommes pas aux États-Unis, ni en France où il y a des hautes écoles! L'UQAM est une très bonne université aussi, elle est dans la même ville - Montréal. Mais il y a aussi des dizaines d'université au Québec, et toutes sont excellentes. Plusieurs sont décentrées (je travaille à l'Université du Québec à Rimouski, où nous recevons beaucoup de Français), pourquoi ne pas vous renseigner sur l'ensemble des universités, déposer votre demande d'admission à plusieurs (ce n'est qu'une trentaine d'euros) et choisir en correspondant avec les personnes de ces universités? Vous pourriez ainsi vous donner plus de choix.
Mon université est de petite taille, située sur deux campus à Lévis et à Rimouski, donc très beau milieu, les groupes sont de 30 personnes, et il y a énormément de travaux pratiques (www.uqar.ca). Nous avons toutes nos particularités et pour un projet aussi important que votre avenir, c'est sage d'y mettre le temps et de se renseigner adéquatement.

Vous me rassurez tout de même car ce que je fais cette année ne me plait plus du tout, c'est plus que de la physique et chimie et je ne sais vraiment pas si je pourrais réussir à finir l'année.. Je me force à apprendre mais ça devient dure, surtout que ce n'est plus très simple. Du moins si je pouvais arrêter en étant sur d'avoir quelque chose pour l'année prochaine je le ferais..
Je vais donc faire dès demain un dossier pour l'UQÀM et je vais regarder pour d'autres université, peut être à Québec mais Montréal m'attire tout de même 😐
Pour ce qui est du classement et de l'impression de d'universités ca me rassure beaucoup! Même si je préférerais aller à l'UDEM, le programme de l'UQÀM en informatique est très intéressant aussi.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
