Bonsoir à vous tous! Je reviens à peine du Oasis Brisas Del Caribe à Varadero... Bref, mon pire voyage à Cuba! Nous étions dix à voyager (de 10 ans à 72 ans) et personne n'a été vraiment satisfait de son voyage.🙁 Nous avons voyagé pour la première fois avec Sunwing en partance de Montréal, A-1, rien à dire tout était parfait (il y avait même un peu trop de bouffe durant le vol!). L'hôtel est assez vieux mais nous étions dans la nouvelle partie (qui date quand même de 7 ans!), bloc H. Rien à dire sur les chambres qui étaient propres (aucun insecte même pas de puces de lit!). Que dire cependant du papier de toilette qui s'est fait rare toute la semaine😠. Bonne distance de marche de l'hôtel cependant une petite voiturette de golf pouvait nous transporter d'un endroit à l'autre moyennant un petit pourboire. La plage et l'océan: fantastiques!!! 😎😎😎 C'est quand même Cuba. L'animation à l'hôtel = O, un peu de danse en fin de journée et une game de volleyball dans la journée. Le pire élément: LA BOUFFE!!!!! Pour mon cinquième voyage à Cuba, je n'ai jamais aussi mal mangé. Tout le monde sait bien que nous n'allons pas à Cuba pour manger de la bonne bouffe mais je crois qu'il y a toujours bien des limites! Aucun repas ne fut bon je dirais même mangeable. Rien de potable au buffet: peu de choix, tout était froid, même le bar à pâtes était moche. Des olives, des olives et encore des olives... Que dire des desserts aussi moches que le reste! Les drinks étaient dégueulasses (jamais de daiquiri glacés car l'appareil ne fonctionnait jamais. Une chance que la bière Crystal était toujours aussi bonne! Nous n'avons pas réussi à avoir les restos à la carte étant donné notre grand groupe. Certains ont été capables de les avoir moyennant un bon pourboire. Les serveurs et barmans étaient tous, à l'exception d'un, désagréables et peu serviables et ce, malgré l'omniprésence d'un pourboire. De très belles piscines, mais des spa (jacuzzi) plein d'enfants malgré les affiches les interdisant.
Bref, l'Oasis Brisas Del Caribe de Varadero n'est pas un quatre étoiles et il est très loin de cette reconnaissance! Si vous voulez un vrai quatre étoiles, n'optez pas pour ce complexe.

J'ai une de mes amies qui vient de partir ce soir pour cette hôtel, pauvre elle c'est sont premier voyage dans le sud et s'il faut que c'est comme ça la bas, elle sera pas chanceuse.

Et bien ce n'est pas mon avis. J'y suis allée début janvier, 4 personnes, dont 2 enfants et ce fut très agréable. Ce n'est peut-être pas le grand luxe, mais le service était bon, les gens sont souriants lorsqu'ils sont bien traités et la bouffe : à tous les jours nous avons trouvé un repas qui nous convenait, chaud (si on arrivait pas 10 minutes avant la fermeture du buffet bien entendu). Le grill était excellent même.
Pourquoi le SPA serait-il réservé aux adultes? Parfois si on veut des vacances sans enfants, il faut choisir un site sans enfants.
J'étais moi aussi dans la partie Brisas del Sur et j'en étais très heureuse pour la tranquillité.
Ce sont des vacances, il faut voir les beaux côtés et ne pas penser que ce sera comme chez soi.
Soyons zen (ou payons plus cher).

Il faut ajouter que la semaine de relâche est une semaine très achalandée et que le service peut être différent. Évidemment, il y avait plus d'enfants qu'à la normale...
Dommage de constater que vous ne faites pas partie de la majorité des gens rencontrés lors de notre séjour au Brisas. Lorsque l'on voyage moindrement, on constate que cet hôtel est un bas de gamme et qu'il s'adresse à une clientèle recherchant un trois étoiles. Concernant le spa, il y avait des pancartes signifiant l'accès interdit aux enfants. Comme parent, je sais qu'un spa est réservé à la détente et non pas à faire des culbutes ou d'y nager en profondeur. Des parents envoyaient ou plutôt se débarrassaient des enfants en les incitant à aller dans la piscine "chaude"! Bref, ce n'est pas donné à tous de posséder un spa et de savoir comment s'y détendre. Concernant le prix, cet hôtel ne correspond aucunement au prix payé malheureusement, le mois de janvier, où les prix sont au plus bas représente un excellent rapport qualité/prix mais pour la relâche, c'est différent. Bref, je réitère que cet hôtel a été le plus décevant de mes nombreux voyages à Cuba.

C'est le pire commentaire que j'ai vu😕..J'en ai lu au moins 150 sur le net. Mon agente de voyage (la tante d'un des amis qui part avec moi) est allé au Brisa et elle le conseille.
Nous sommes des jeunes adultes et je crois que nous allons nous amusés😎.
Dommage aussi de voir des commentaires comme le tiens sur le net. C'est certain que rendu au mois d'avril, tout est à rabais et ce, pour les gens à faible budget... Bref, nous vivons au Québec et je crois que la liberté d'expression est encore présente. Je maintiens mon propos et je classe cet hôtel comme un 3 étoiles! Je connais fort bien la différence entre un trois étoiles et un cinq. Eh oui, je voyage trois à quatre fois par année et je séjourne régulièrement dans un 5 étoiles!!! C'est l'avantage d'être une VIEILLE de 39 ans qui est en foin... Bref, moi je respecte ton opinion et c'est aussi l'avantage d'être une ADULTE de 39 ans.

Et bien, moi je te crois ma chère. Je ne sais pas pourquoi les gens ne peuvent accepter une critique négative d'un hôtel QU'EUX ont aimés. Bien des choses entrent en ligne de compte lorsque nous voyageons. Et je te comprend pour le spa, tu vas là pour te détendre et pas pour entendre crier les enfants qui s'ennuient de toute facon dans un spa ! en plus ils agissent comme s'ils étaient dans une piscine. Tant mieux pour ceux qui ont aimés, et je te souhaites un plus beau voyage la prochaine fois😉

Hey, I’d like to know which hotel in the south doesn’t force you to wake up at 4 AM just to reserve a shady chair, whether it’s at the beach or the pool.
I wanted to share a great discovery in the Marakele area because, in the end, this park doesn’t get talked about much compared to Kruger, even though it’s really worth the detour.
We discovered Cypiro Leopard Lodge, right next to Marakele National Park in the Waterberg. It’s a small property with just a few villas and suites, so it’s nothing like the big, crowded lodges. What we loved most was the feeling of being truly at the end of the world—lots of space, silence, and almost no one around.
And yet, it’s only about 3 hours from Johannesburg. Once you leave Joburg, the road is pretty straightforward, and you quickly find yourself in a much wilder Africa.
Marakele National Park was a huge surprise for us. There are plenty of animals, the Big Five are present, but best of all, very few people. At times, we drove for quite a while without seeing another car. It’s such a change from parks where you sometimes end up with 15 cars around one animal.
The landscapes are also stunning, with the Waterberg mountains, plains, and beautiful views from some of the trails.
We also learned on-site that Marakele is known for its very large Cape vulture colony—around 800 breeding pairs. When you climb into the mountains and see them soaring above, it’s pretty impressive.
The entire Waterberg region is actually a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve, and you quickly understand why once you’re there.
As for Cypiro, it’s a lodge that was recently taken over by French owners—really nice and approachable. The place is quite exclusive since there are very few accommodations. The villas and suites each have their own private pool, a wood-fired hot bath (like a KolKol), a braai, and an outdoor fireplace.
Evenings are especially lovely, especially with the peace and quiet all around.
Another thing we found really convenient: you can organize your stay however you like.
You can come self-catering and cook for yourself. There’s a supermarket in the nearby small town, practically on the way in, so you can do your shopping before arriving without making a big detour.
Or you can ask them to organize everything with breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Their chef, Ernest, cooks really well, and it lets you completely unwind for a few days.
We liked being able to alternate: some quiet meals on our own and others prepared for us.
That’s actually one of the things we appreciated here—it’s not an ultra-formal lodge where everything is scheduled at fixed times. You can head out early to Marakele, come back for lunch, enjoy the pool, go back out in the late afternoon, then have a braai or a relaxed dinner in the evening.
In terms of price, we also found the value for money really good for this level of accommodation and especially for the very private feel of the place. Sometimes it feels like you’re in a much more expensive lodge.
If you’re looking for lots of activity and dozens of people around you, this probably isn’t the right spot.
But for peace, wildlife, nature, wide-open spaces, and that feeling of being a little alone in the world, we absolutely loved it.

While digging through the archives 🔍, we discovered a 19th-century journal 📜 bearing the name: "Le Petit Baigneur, weekly journal of beaches, spa towns, and thermal resorts in the South of France", published as early as 1886. Its motto? "All for the baths and by the baths" 🏖️ — what a program!
We found the name so amusing that we chose it to rename our hotel: Hôtel Le Petit Baigneur!
140 years later, we’re carrying on this seaside tradition of the South of France in our own way 🏊♂️ — with a few fewer crinolines, but just as much love for the seaside. 😊

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)

3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
