Avec déja plusieurs idées, j'ai pensée qu'il serait interressant de voir les mérites vantés de divers villes, ce qui m'aiderais un peu dans ma decision.
Objectif: trouver un travail, trouver un appart, ne connaitre personne en arrivant....dans une ville qui si possible bougerait bien et de preferences n'aurait rien de glauque.
Si par hasard vous avez quelques raisons de penser que chez vous il fait bon vivre....et un peu de temps a perdre pour m'en parler....

Venant de la cote d'azur ( Cannes ) je te conseil pas cette région qui est très belle mais devenu inabordable au niveau des loyers (600 euros pour un studio)dans une résidence propre.Cote travail de plus en plus difficile de trouver un emploi bien payer !! le département du Var est plus dynamique au niveau emploi et un peu moins cher.😕
Du côté de Bordeaux peut-être... Ou alors la côte basque...
Parce que comme dit plus haut, la Cote d'Azur est un peu inabordable financièrement. Bien que la cote basque ne soit pas donnée non plus mais c'est moins pire...

Je pencherais également pour Bordeaux. Une superbe ville, du taf, une bonne mentalité et une région attirante avec l'océan et les grandes plages...
Sinon c'est dommage que tu ne sois pas ouvert vers le Nord (bien que je comprenne lol !) car pour s'intégrer rapidement et facilement, Lille est un bon choix.
Tout dépend également de ce que tu entends par "grande ville".

J'ai récemment entrepris de visiter toutes les grandes villes de France et j'ai déja fait 80% du boulot.
Perpignan: à éviter absolument. Le pourcentage d'abrutis au m2 y est purement hallucinant.
Marseille: c'est crade et moche.
Biarritz: superbe mais pas de boulot et logements chers.
Bayonne: pas terrible.
Pour faire court, je recommande Montpellier.
J'ai été agréablement surpris par cette ville de par sa propreté, et la superbe préservation des quartiers historiques qui en plus sont très vastes ainsi que de très nombreux monuments. Les loyers ne semblent pas trop chers. C'est bien animé.
Je connais très bien Bordeaux qui est pas mal aussi mais je placerais Montpellier au dessus en terme de beauté.
Par contre, je sais pas si il y a autant de boulot qu'à Bordeaux, ville très active. Voir les annonces sur le site de l'ANPE.
Je vais prêcher pour ma paroisse, à savoir Toulouse...
Le climat est agréable, la ville est belle, grande et très dynamique. Malgré que l'immobilier explose (mais où ne le fait-il pas?), les loyers restent abordables à mon sens; ce sont plutôt les maisons à l'achat qui sont chères...
Côté boulot, c'est dans la moyenne nationale je pense, ni plus ni moins.
C'est une des villes qui bouge le plus en France, les 120.000 étudiants y jouant pour beaucoup...
Les banlieues sont agréables pour la plupart et les transports en commun corrects (2 lignes de métro, tramway en construction, lignes de bus relativement nombreuses).
Principal problème : son attrait, justement... C'est la ville qui grossit le plus vite en France et cela se ressent sur beaucoup de choses : bouchons à la "parisienne", immobilier, saturation...
Moi qui ai quitté ma ville depuis 5 ans, je constate ces changements à l'occasion de mes fréquents séjours de vacances. C'est hallucinant comme Toulouse a explosé en seulement 10 ans. Et ce n'est pas fini.
Mais si je devais choisir une ville dans le sud, ça serait celle-là. Montpellier, que je ne connais pas, est souvent comparée à Toulouse; c'est un peu la même en plus petit en fait, de ce que j'en ai entendu, côté mentalités et dynamisme.
Pour la saleté, c'est vrai qu'il y a des efforts à faire, je suis d'accord.
Pour le reste... 🤪 On peut se faire agresser partout, alors dans une grande ville... Y'a quand même bien pire que Toulouse; et Montpellier n'est pas un exemple pour la sécurité, de ce que j'en sais.
Après, chacun jugera, mais ce n'est pas pour rien que Toulouse est la ville qui attire le plus de monde en France. 😉

N'empêche, dans tous les grandes villes que j'ai visité et arpenté la nuit, il n'y a qu'à Toulouse que j'ai rencontré de l'insécurité.

Malheureusement si. Une chanson de Nougaro sur une ville "rose" et hop, dans l'inconscient collectif on se met à vouloir visiter cette ville.
Quelle ne fut pas ma déception.
J'ai vécu 25 ans à Toulouse, et côté insécurité... mouais, y'a pire.... En tout cas, on est loin de Paris, Marseille ou même Nice. Faut arrêter de raconter n'importe quoi et de prendre ton exemple comme une référence.
Et c'est pas à cause (ou grace) de Nougaro que la ville attire tant de monde... 🤪
M'enfin, je vais pas épiloguer sur ce point; que tu n'aimes pas Toulouse c'est ton droit, mais il ne faut pas raconter n'importe quoi, surtout si l'on y a pas vécu, ce qui semble être ton cas...

le problème c'est que je suis née a Maubeuge, que je sais que Lille est une ville terrible mais franchement cette région me déprime un peu a vrai dire.......
et ça fait un peu quatre ans que je n'ai pas eu d'hiver, puisque voyageant la moitié de l'année dans des pays chaud et du coup ......déjà que depuis 4jours le climat est rude pour l'instant.....

euh .... ;) tu dois pas être sérieuse là??? Je sais pas si t'es au courant, mais des villes plus grandes que Bordeaux et Montpellier, yen a pas des masses dans le sud de la France. Et puis, comment ne peut on pas être anonyme dans une ville comme montpellier??? C'est quand même pas un village.
Bref, si tu veux pas monter sur Paris, je te propose de passer par la chirurgie esthétique ahaha :)

Excusez moi mais vous avez "tout faux"! Tout simplement parce que même si vous arriviez à visiter "correctement" (éléments qui reste à définir...) toutes les villes de France (Qu'appellez vous "ville"? A partir de qu'elle critère? Surface? Combien d'hectares? Nombre d'habitants? A partir de combien d'habitants une agglomération mérite t-elle ce titre pour vous? Etc, etc, etc...) Vous partiriez à l'Etranger de toute façon en meconnaissant le France ou tout au moins, en en connaissant très très peu! La France c'est faite à partir de la terre, des paysans disséminés dans la campagne! Prétendre, avant de vouloir partir à l'étranger, visiter toutes les villes de France et en conclure qu'ainsi, vous n'aurez rien raté, excusez moi mais pour le coup, c'est raté! Savez vous ce que représentez le pourcentage du nombre d'habitant dans "zones urbnisées" pour employer le vocabulaire actuel ou pour être plus clair dans les "cités" au moyen-âge? Un nombre infinitésimale je vous l'assure! En visitant les plus grandes villes de la France, et encore, de manière "intélligente", vous n'emporteriez qu'une infime partie de la richesse qui constitue notre pays!
Et au contraire, en vous exilant à l'étranger, vous aurez raté le principal! Les campagnes profondes, les Abbayes qui ont fait vivre tout un terroir, un chateau perdu dans la forêt ou sur son pic rocheux qui etendais sa domination sur tout un pays, bref, ne prétendais pas, une fois votre visite des villes de France faite, n'avoir rien loupé de la France avant de partir, c'est très exactement l'inverse! Plusieurs vies ne suffiraient pas à visiter notre si merveilleux pays!
Toutefois, votre démarche est louable et même très interressante! Dommage que la finalité en soit faussé!
D'autre part, dans votre quête de ne rien avoir "raté" de la France avant de vous exiler à l'étranger, ne ratez pas Provins, Dinan en Bretagne et Carcassonne bien sûr! Pour moi, les trois plus belles villes de France qui ont sû conserver, non pas quelques monuments éparts de ci delà mais bien un noyau urbain entièrement entièrement préservé!
Je vous trouve bien présomptueux et naïf dans votre quête de ne "rien raté" avant de partir mais en même temps presque touchant!
Juste une chose : Chassez de votre esprit l'espoir "de n'avoir rien raté" après votre périple! 😉 C'est ce qui m'a choqué, surtout que votre démarche et louable!

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
