Un post que j'ai lu sur le forum m'a donné une idée. Je sais qu'à chaque départ de voyage, mon sac à dos n'atteint jamais le poids maximal autorisé pour la mise en soûte. Alors lors de mon prochain séjour à Rio j'aimerai en profiter pour éventuellement apporter une aide sous forme de dons de fournitures scolaires, médicaments, vêtements... ou autre chose que sais-je... je n'ai pas vraiment d'idée précise en fait...
Connaîtriez-vous une association sur Rio susceptible de recevoir des dons de ce genre, et quoi en particulier ??? Par contre, je ne compte pas mettre les pieds dans une favela... je sais que c'est un peu contradictoire comme démarche, car c'est sûrement là-bas qu'il y a le plus de besoins...
Enfin voilà, l'idée est lancée, je vous remercie d'avance pour vos suggestions... c'est juste pour le plaisir de faire plaisir... 😉

Je ne sais pas si tu es déjà parti direction Brasil mais je tente quand même.
L'asso Casa do Menor (www.casadomenor.org.br) est situé à Nova Iguaçu (une petite heure de bus de Rio), ce n'est pas une favela, mais un quartier très pauvre et tranquille.
Ils s'occupent d'enfants et d'ados alors tous les dons sont les bienvenus;)

Helas, je suis deja sur place et faute de reponses et de coordonnees recoltees avant mon depart, je suis parti le sac vide. Tant pis, ce sera pour une autre fois.

moi c'est Nico, et j'ai un projet de volontariat dans une asso bresilienne, j'ai vu que tu as travaillé a Casa dos menores et j'aimerais bien avoir un contact dans cette association, savoir tes impressions sur ton travail sur place...

J'en profite au cas ou des alsaciens se rendraient sur Rio. Une amie gère une assos qui envoie des poches hygiéniques à un hôpital des environs de Rio (a Mendes de mémoire, à coté de Barra do Pirai - 50 km de Rio) pour personnes opérées avec mise en place d'un anus artificiel.
Ils collectent dans plusieurs hôpitaux francais des surplus (boite ouverte mais pas encore finis mais qui ne peut pas être revendue) pour les envoyer là bas (a savoir que les personnes pauvres victimes de ce genre d'opération vont jusqu'a utiliser des sacs de supermarché)...
C'est en général assez volumineux pas très lourd et l'assos fournit les papiers a présenter à la douane en cas de contrôle... Sur place, vous pouvez vous rendre à l'hopital et rencontrer les reponsables sur place (vous serez bien accueillis) ou ils envoient quelqu'un recuperer les poches à votre hôtel.

et je pars crée une ONG sur Rio ou les environs en avril 2010.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

We currently have 2 wheelchairs that we would like to give to our partner, the Benin Handisport Federation. If you're traveling to Benin, alone or with someone, we could give you one of these 2 wheelchairs (or both). Out of the 40 kg of luggage you're allowed, a wheelchair will only take up less than half. Our partner can pick it up at Cotonou Airport...

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
