Il est possible que j'accepte une opportinuté de travail en qualité d'expat dans les philippines. A priori pour au moins 1, 2 ou 3 ans voire plus. J'habite en France en campagne avec mon amie, nous avons une chienne de 1.5 an à laquelle nous sommes très attachés.
comment ca se passe si je veux vivre dans les philippines avec mon chien?
en regardant dans les forums, j'ai lu qu'en inde c'est exclu. Pour les autres pays, difficile à dire, rien trouvé sur les philippines mis à part une vanne de douz qui parlait de chien recyclés en soupe... (euh pas si loin de la réalité en fait...???).
L'idée de laisser mon chien derrière moi pendant des années me semble inpensable, un déchirement insupportable. meme si je peux la confier à des cousins de confiance en france.
Donc:
1. est-ce possible d'emmener mon toutou? Je suppose que oui, comme souvent c'est sans doute une question d'argent, non?
2. si oui combien? (en gros :p)
3. quels problemes vais-je rencontrer? A quels risques j'expose mon amie et moi? A quels risques j'expose mon chien?
4. c'est long? compliqué? comment ca se passe? (j'ai entendu dire qu'il fallait graisser la patte aux fonctionnaires pour rendre visite à son toutou laissé en quarantaine pdt des mois (l'horreur!), etc.
5. avec dans les 20heures de trajet en tout, enfermée dans une cage au fond d'une obscure soute, basculée d'aéroport en aéroport, probablement sans eau ni nourriture ni promenade, ne va-t'elle pas finir traumatisée? voire y passer tout court? (là je m'inquiete pas trop mais bon...)
6. et le jour où on rentre en France, elle pourrait revenir?
J'ai une amie qui est venue avec son chat, donc j'imagine que cela doit etre possible pour un chien.
Ce qui est important c'est le choix de la companie aerienne. En effet, si tu fais escale en Thailande ou a Singapour, tu devras aussi te mettre en regle par rapport aux lois de ces pays. Le mieux, c'est de choisir une companie de l'UE car les lois sont les memes qu'en France (KLM, Lufthansa, ...). Ta companie va te donner les regles IATA en ce qui concerne les animaux (taille de la cage, quantite d'eau minimum, ...) ainsi que les conditions d'entree dans le pays (docments necessaires pour le chien, prix, ...). Je sais que le prix du billet d'avion est en fonction du poids de l'animal.
Pour repartir en France, meme topo... Le seul truc c'est qu'avant le depart, la France demande des analyses de sang de l'animal et qu'il faut envoyer le sang se faire analyser en France, ca coute un peu cher, mais bon...
Je te conseille de passer un coup de fil a l'Ambassade des Philippines a Paris, 01 44 14 57 01, ils devraient pouvoir te renseigner sur les conditions d'entree de ton chien.
Puis-je te demander dans quel région tu vas (ville ?) et quel genre de travail tu vas faire ?
Il faut savoir que c'est déjà un stress énorme pour un animal que de voyager en soute, d'autant plus pour un vol qui va durer minimum 10 heures. Aux Philippines il y a beaucoup de chiens qui souffrent de maladies de la peau et perdent ainsi leur poiles. Il est difficile de trouver un vétérinaire et en dehors des très grandes villes, quasi impossible...
Concernant les formalités d'entrées tu dois trouver des informations sur le site du gouvernement Philippins http://www.gov.ph/default.asp
La vie n'est pas adaptée à un animal de compagnie tel qu'on le conçoit chez nous. Les chats et chiens sont plus des choses qui font partie du décors. Bref, ton toutou sera peut-être plus heureux de vivre auprès de proches et te retrouver lors de tes vacances et à ton retour !

pour la destination précisément, ca n'est pas encore bien défini, mais ce sera tres probablement sur une grosse agglo, donc soit metro manila, soit cebu city. on ne sait pas encore
fondamentalement, je pense que je peux la confier à des cousins, des gens patients qui adorent les animaux, vivent en campagne dans un endroit calme et spacieux, et ont tjs eu des chiens depuis plus de 30 ou 40 ans. On s'occuperait tres bien d'elle.

Ca veut dire que mon amie et moi représentons tout pour elle. nous l'avons patiemment dressée depuis plus d'un an. elle reconnait notre voix, aime et a besoin de notre présence. je me sens responsable, je ne veux pas la laisser derrière moi à une autre famille. Ce serait courrir le risque que notre absence la rende malheureuse et qu'elle le vive comme un abandon traumatisant. Y'a qu'à voir sa réaction qd on la laisse seulement une journée seule
et si apres 2ans d'absence elle ne nous reconnaissait plus du tout? sans parler que vivre dans un endroit étranger va être une expérience, certes enrichissante, mais aussi tres stressante et je voudrais bien avoir la présence rassurante de notre chien pour m'aider à tenir la pression des enjeux
Je ne connais pas grand chose aux règles aux Philippines, mais c'était juste pour témoigner de transport d'animaux en avion.
Pour ma part je suis partie en Inde avec.. deux lapins. Comme toi, tout le monde m'a déconseillé de le faire, que j'étais folle, que c'ést ridicule, qu'ils vont pas supporter l'avion et la chaleur, etc. Mais comme toi, j'y étais attachée et me sentais responsable, donc j'ai fait ce choix. Je suis partie avec Lufthansa, j'ai payé 30€ par kilo, et ils ont voyagé en soute, ce qui n'a pas manqué de me stresser, d'autant plus qu'il y avait changement à Frankfort avec 3 heures d'attente... Je n'ai pas pu les voir pendant l'escale, mais tu peux demander au personnel d'avoir des nouvelles, c'est toujours rassurant.
Ils étaient pas super contents à l'arrivée, mais moi, j'étais folle de joie! . A Delhi, les types n'ont même pas daignés regarder leurs papiers à la douane quand ils ont vu les oreilles, lol. Arrivés à l'hotel, ils n'avaient pas perdu leur appétit ni leur curiosité et ont même fait 5 heures de bus non climatisés deux jours après. Ils ont survécu aux trois mois à 35-38 degrés sans problème.
Ca fait 7 mois que je vis ici, ils sont en pleine forme. Tu trouveras certainement des vétos là-bas, moi, je n'en ai pas encore eu besoin.
Et puis un chien, c'est comme les lapins, a priori, ca vit partout. Et je ne pense pas que les Philippines soient pire que l'Inde d'un point de vue sanitaire. Renseigne-toi bien effectivement, normalement il te faudra un certificat de bonne de santé signé par un véto 48 heures avant le départ. Pour info, les chiens sont autorisés en Inde, mais le retour est peut-être plus compliqué...Regarde sur le site delhi-accueil.com, il y a une rubrique animaux très bien faite. Ca t'apportera peut-être pas d'info sur les Philippines mais tu trouveras des conseils et des adresses utiles.
Finalement la vie là-bas n'est pas si différente, ça deviendra bientôt ton chez toi...

* j'ai pris contact avec une famille francaise installée là-bas depuis plusieurs années, ils ont emmené leur chien avec eux, donc ca doit être possible sans que le chien ne souffre forcement trop du changement.

I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
