Voilà, J'ai 4 enfants et fin juillet 2006 je compte partir m'installer à Londres.
1 ere enfant à 19 ans et cherche une bonne école de commerce, pourra t-elle s'adapter facilement?
Les autres ont 16, 13 et 10ans il n'y a pas de probleme pour les deux dernières car on pensent qu'elles s'adapteront plus rapidement. Mais pour celle de 16 ans certaines personnes nous ont dit que ce serait dure pour elle si elle ne prend pas des cours de langues à côtés, connaissez vous une secondary school ou autre qui combine les deux. Merçi🤪
alors pour les écoles anglaises, il faut savoir que le programme est relativement différent ... par exemple des enfants anglais qui viennent dans notre école française en cours de scolarité ont parfois beaucoup de mal.
En effet les enseignements ne sont pas du tout abordés de la même manière et les habitudes de travail non plus !
Sinon, les écoles publiques n'ont pas bonne réputation, mais je ne suis pas une experte, apparemment cela dépend du quartier. En tout cas beaucoup de gens mettent leurs enfants en écoles privées, mais le prix des écoles privées est très très élevé !!! et il faudrait pas tardé car les places sont "réservées" à l'avance. Je sais qu'il y a aussi des écoles bilingues pour les plus jeunes dans le sud de Londres, je ne sais pas pour le collège.
Sinon a savoir que dans les écoles françaises, en tout cas chez nous, presque tous les enfants sont bilingues, ils apprennent à une allure folle.
Ou comptes tu habiter ? Comptes tu rester ou est ce juste pour un an ?
Pour le système anglais je ne suis pas une experte, peut etre qu'en se renseignant directement à l'ambassade, à l'alliance française ... ils pourront donner plus de renseignements.
Je compte habiter dans le Sud de Londres, ce n'est pas pour un an, c'est pour y rester. Et dans ce cas je croit que le système anglais serait le bon.
Les écoles billingues se trouvant dans le sud sont-elles payantes? Dans quel quartier sont-elles?

il y a aussi un site pour voir les résultats des écoles anglaises.
Sinon je sais que certaines familles reçoivent des bourses quand elles ont des enfants dans le système français mais je ne sais pas c'est généralisépour les français vivant à Londres ... sur le site de l'ambassade cela doit etre plsu clair

Je travaille actuellement à Paris et envisage d'alller travailler à Londres. Je suis marié et père de 3 enfants agés de 8 ans à 3 ans et souhaiterais savoir : y a t il beaucoup de choix d'écoles françaises à Londres et dans quel quartier (en effet, le logement étant cher à Londres, je ne sais pas encore où nous pourrions habiter). quel est le niveau des écoles françaises. quel est le coût de la scolarité pour une année par enfant.

je vis actuellement en france et j'aimerais m'installer à londres au dans un autre pays voisin (écosse, iralande...),
cependant en surfant sur internet, sur ce forum, j'ai lu des témoignages de gens qui disaient que vivre avec un enfant était très dur et qu'il était préférable de très bien gangner sa vie, pour ma part mon niveau d'études ne me permettrait pas d'obtenir un emploi hyper bien rémunéré, mais plutot un revenu moyen.
Et comme vous etes enseignante dans une école primaire, je voudrais avoir votre avis sur l'état des écoles en angleterre au cas où je serai amené à m'installer à londres, si vous pouvez me dresser un constat des écoles maternelles et primaires, sachant que je n'aurai certainement pas les moyens de mettre mon fils dans une école privée, j'opterai pour une école gratuite.
Est-ce Vrai que l'on rencontre dans les écoles anglaises des problèmes en tout genre (problèmes sociaux, délinquance, police dans les écoles, violence...etc? )
Le niveau est il plus bas ou plus élevé que les écoles en france?
Les écoles françaises sont elles de meilleure qualité?
je préfèrerai renoncer à mon rêve de vie londonnienne, afin de donner la meilleure éducation à mon fils de 1 an

C'est vrai que Londres est cher tres cher. Il est possible d'y vivre avec un salaire moyen mais ca veut dire vivre dans des quartiers populaires ou plus loin du centre. Avec un enfant ca veut dire des écoles publiques qui sont parfois limites. Mais c'est comme partout on ne peut pas généraliser il y a des bonnes écoles anglaises dans les quartiers populaires aussi. Les problemes rencontrés dans les écoles publiques sont tres différents d'une école a l'autre, d'un quartier a l'autre. Il est possible de lire les rapports d'inspection d'écoles sur internet selon le quartier choisi (site d'OFSTED).
Il n'y a pas vraiment d'école maternelle, les enfants ont le droit le trimestre apres leurs 3 ans a 2h30 gratuites dans une structure au choix (jardins d'enfants, classe enfantine rattachée aux écoles) si tu veux mettre ton enfant plus longtemps il faut trouver une structure qui accepte et apres tu payes. Personnellement je trouve le systeme anglais beaucoup plus respectueux du rythme de l'enfant mais bon apres ce sont des choix personnels. Pour le niveau, certains disent que le niveau est plus bas...franchement j'en sais rien mon fils est encore trop petit pour que j'ai une idée claire. Mais je pense que encore une fois cela dépend beaucoup des écoles et des enfants. J'ai trouvé personnellement les enfants en école francaise souvent bien stressés par un programme et une vie a 100 a l'heure dans une grande ville ou on a pas le temps de se poser.
Je ne suis plus instit en école francaise nous avons déménagé ailleurs en Angleterre apres la venue de notre fils car nous en avions marre de la vie a Londres.
Je vois que ton fils n'a pas 1 an, il faudra donc que tu trouves un systeme de garde, les creches ici sont en général tres cheres donc beaucoup de gens se tournent vers les nourices (childminder) mais bon sur Londres cela reste cher aussi je crois que ca doit tourner aux alentours de £5 de l'heure. Donc il est préférable d'avoir un bon salaire.
Maintenant il y a peut etre d'autres villes ou le cout de la vie est moins cher. Il y a sur Doctissimo un coin reservé aux expats et il y a pas mal de mamans en angleterre peut etre qu'elles pourraient te renseigner ainsi.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
