J’ai décidé de partir travailler 4 mois à Londres, et j’arrive dans quelques jours (mercredi).
Comme j’ai pu le voir sur différent forum cela ne sert à rien de chercher de la France, donc j’ai pris un billet de train, et réservé une auberge de jeunesse, et je chercherai directement sur place un petit boulot.
J’ai quelques questions : j’ai lu que pour travailler j’avais besoin d’un numéro NIN (numéro sécu social si j’ai bien compris), et que pour l’avoir il fallait compter environ un mois.
Suis-je obligé de l’avoir même si je viens pour travailler seulement 4 mois ??? Et si oui, puis-je commencer à travailler sans, et ne le fournir qu’après à mon employeur ?
Sinon avez-vous une idée de combien coute environ une collocation dans le centre de Londres ?
Une idée d’ordre de salaire que je peux gagner dans un boulot du style serveur/barman/vendeur (enfin ce que je trouverai…) ?
J’ai lu qu’il était difficile d’ouvrir un compte bancaire, est ce que j’ai des papiers à ramener de France pour faciliter l’ouverture ?
J’ai un niveau d’anglais moyen, cela est il très pénalisant (je comprends plutôt bien, mais quand je parle je fais bcp de fautes de grammaire/conjugaison) ?
Certains forums parlent de cours d’anglais gratuit sur Londres, mythe ou réalité ?? Si c’est vrai, je veux bien les adresses.
Et pour finir, je suis en train de faire mon CV et ma lettre de motivation en anglais, si des personnes ont des exemples je suis preneur.

Je viens à ton secours, je me posais les même questions il y a quelques mois...
Pour le NIN, pas d'inquietude dès que tu arrives, tu peux appeler un numero special que tu vas trouver sur le site jobcenter, il te donneront un rendez-vous environ 1 mois apres, et si un employeur te demande si tu en a un, dis simplement que tu as fait le necessaire pour et il n'y aura pas de probleme (et aussi quand tu cherches ne dis pas que tu es là juste pour 4 mois, ca passe mieux)
Colloc dans le centre?? MMmmmh je ne sais pas quel est ton budget, mais n'y compte pas trop... je dirais 700£ mini par mois!! Penses plutot a vivre en zone 2 ou 3, et pour moi il y fait plus bon vivre, c un peu moins busy (sans ces fichus touristes😏 ), et tu t'immergeras bien mieux dans le vrai London, avec des choses bien plus interessantes à y faire. Et si tu trouves pres d'une ligne bien desservie tu peux etre à 20min du centre facile.
Pour le salaire, je dirais bien que ca dépend où tu tombes, ms c'est pareil t'attends pas à te faire une fortune.J'ai bossé en tant que serveuse dans un resto, j'etais payée 5.80£/h (moins env 15% de charges), et j'avais env 80£ de tips par semaine. Je pense que j'etais dans la moyenne, après tu peux gagner un peu plus, ou un peu moins..
Pour le compte banquaire, je dirais que c'est bien le dernier des soucis à te faire! Je suis chez Lloyds, et il m'ont seulement demandé ma carte d'identité.
Pour ton anglais, oui ca peut etre penalisant, mais apres je dirais que ca dépends des employeurs, moi j'ai eu la chance d'etre embauchée avec un anglais très moyen, et je pense qu'il y en a d'autres qui doivent etre tolerants à ce niveau (je dirais plus les chaines, grands restos etc)
Effectivement, les cours d'anglais grotos ca existe bien, pour ma part j'avais trouvé une ecole une qui en proposait, c'etait des sessions d'un mois, mais il y a enormement de demandes, et en plus, ce sont les elèves qui suivent déjà les cours et qui veulent renouveller qui sont prioritaires, donc c'est un peu le bazar! Mais peut etre qu'en cherchant un peu c trouvable.
Pous ton cv je sais pas si je peux te donner des conseils, moi je me suis un peu débrouillée toute seule, et si tu as des soucis au niveau de la langue, demande autour de toi, moi c'est ce que j'avais fait quand j'etais en auberge, tu fais tjrs la rencontre de personnes qui sont english fluent, et aussi le personnel, les gens sont généralement content de t'aider (et demande à plusieurs personnes pour avr plusieurs avis c'est important).
Juste pour te dire en gros, sur mon cv j'ai fait comme differents paragraphes : profile; education; work experience; foreign languages and special skills; activities and interest. Apres si c'est pour chercher dans la restauration je pense qu'il vont pas t'en demander des tonnes.
Tu arrives demain si j'ai bien compris, alors good luck, parce que je dirais qu'à Londres la chance c'est important, et aussi et surtout la "can do" attitude!
Je suis un peu dans le meme cas. Je vais très prochainement partir à Londres pour améliorer mon Anglais ( qui est vraiment très médiocre ). Je part avec ma copine qui elle a trouvé un poste d'assitante dans une école. Je suis pret a rester 1 an si il le faut car je veux vraiment maitriser la langue a mon retour !
Comme tout ceux qui sont dans le meme cas que moi j'aimerai trouver un boulot rapidement. Je ne suis pas exigeant en ce qui concerne le type de boulot étant donné mon niveau d'anglais. Pensez-vous que je vais pouvoir trouver quelque chose ? meme si je fais la plonge dans un resto au début ça ne me dérange pas ! Le mieux serait peut etre que je passe par une agence au début pour qu'il m'aide à trouver un job non ?
Est ce que vous me conseillez de faire des cours d'anglais en meme temps ?
En ce qui concerne le logement, on souhaiterait trouver un meublé pour deux. Je ne connais pas du tout les prix des loyers dans cette ville mais je sais que c'est vraiment très cher. Pensez vous que c'est possible ?

j'avais travaillé à londres pendant 7 mois en restauration, déjà si tu parles pas anglais , y a la chaine de restos chez gérard qui recrute régulièrement
pour ce qui est d'ouvrir un compte en banque, ça sert à rien de prendre des papiers de france, là où je bossais il m'avait fait une lettre et c'était passé, pour ton cv à chaque fois tu verras afficcher sur les portes "looking for staff" ça veut dire qu'ils recrutent et là tu dois remplir une feuille les décisions vont très vite
en salaire compte minimum 200 livres attention la vie est très chère
le bureau principal pour chez gérard c'est à covent garden ils sont très sympa

je pense que tu peux partir à londres tout seul on trouve facilement du travail.
tu peux faire des recherches sur internet pour préparer ton voyage, sinon y a hôtellerie mais à prendre avec précaution car souvent c'est des tafs avec beaucoup d'heures pas forcément rénuméré comme il faut et tu vis qu'avec des français ça dépend si tu veux apprendre la langue
